Rest In Peace, Senator Inouye
The holidays have taken a toll on my blogging, as they usually do. This is a belated RIP for the recently departed Senator. Holiday activities, work, holiday traffic, an accident involving a white tail deer (I am OK but she did not fare as well) have once more put me behind schedule.
By now, Daniel Inouye's life has been recounted and accolades have piled up. For me, one memory of the distinguished Senator stands out. During the Watergate hearings, one of the witnesses' lawyers (Haldeman?) called Inouye "a Jap." That was one of the ugliest events in television history. Even if one could excuse the racism, the fact that the comment was directed at a noble warrior who had given his right arm in the service of his country left the viewing public with a hollow feeling that took a while to go away.
Senator Inouye was a great man from a great generation (do we have to call them the greatest if they inflicted the Social Security Ponzi scheme on us?) He will be missed.

Is Anyone Else Offended That The Architect of Operation Fast and Furious Lectures Us On Gun Violence?
Even if Eric Holder emerges legally unscathed from Operation Fast and Furious, he will forever be exposed as one of the most callous human beings the world has ever seen. The cold-hearted indifference Holder has displayed at the reports of deaths numbering somewhere between two hundred and "thousands" is frightening. And the man who tried to squelch the investigation with executive privelege is every bit as scary in his reptilian sentiment.
Mr. Attorney General and Mr. President, do not talk to us about gun violence. You have no credibility in this matter.

Replies To smrstrauss's Comments Concerning Barack Hussein Obama's Presidential Eligibility
smrstrauss said...
"In fact, it must have been damn irritating to have to get another birth certificate from Hawaii, when you have already shown one, and when the officials in Hawaii of BOTH parties confirmed the facts on it, and the Index Data and the birth notices in the newspapers, etc."
It might have been damn irritating. So what? You and I both know that the presidency comes with a bundle of perks--24 hour security, 24 hour food service, two jets, and a large paid staff for starters--so as to insure that the president is never bogged down in minutia. That is how it should be.
With a wave of the hand, the president can secure a long form birth certificate and ultimately he would wave his hand and a staff member would produce said document. There are those of us who still respect the office of the presidency and we ask the same of any administration. I's should be dotted and t's should be crossed. It is not asking too much for the president to wave his imperial hand and produce a requested document.
But this president is just too self-important for such things. He crossed his adolescent arms in an act of defiance and refused to budge until Donald Trump goaded him to act. You might see this behavior as admirable but I see it as a character flaw.

"If YOU really believe that Obama's mother traveled tens of thousands of miles to Kenya (where Yellow Fever was endemic at the time and which had lousy hospitals) late in pregnancy, and a cost of tens of thousands of dollars in 2012 terms, you are just as nutty as Orly."
First of all, I am every bit as nutty as Orly but I don't have an agent. And here I will sacrifice some of my nut cred and say that I agree with you that Stanley Dunham would not have traveled to Kenya in the late stages of pregnancy for the reasons you list but for other reasons as well. Given what we know about human nature I doubt if Brack Obama Senior's new model wife would have been warmly greeted by his family. Her arrival would probably not be a Kumbaya moment.

"Should the US Congress investigate every time a literary agent makes an obvious mistake?"
No. But if it was a mistake, it was clearly a mistake made with and Barack Obama's approval.

Today, the President has satisfied all right-minded folk that he was in fact born in Hawaii. Breitbart.com itself has always rejected the absurd cult of birtherism. In fact, this story is really the opposite of birtherism – Breitbart infers that in the past Obama encouraged people to think that he was born abroad in order to establish an identity as an authentic, exotic voice in the debate on racial politics.
Obama’s old literary agent has issued a terse statement to the effect that the wording was all her fault and she never consulted her client. If that’s true, she’s a bad agent. A different agent, quoted by Breitbart.com, disagrees. He told the website “that while ‘almost nobody’ wrote his or her own biography, the non-athletes in the booklet, whom ‘the agents deal[t] with on a daily basis,’ were ‘probably’ approached to approve the text as presented.”
If we accept that Obama didn’t provide the biography, it would seem highly unlikely that he didn’t get a chance to vet it. Accepting that he didn’t do that either, it’s incredibly strange that the literary agent approached by Breitbart.com does not remember Obama calling the agency to register a complaint and make a correction. My mother spent a lot of her childhood in Grenada. If my literary agent told people I was born in the Caribbean, I’d at least pick up the phone to set the record straight.
The young Barack Obama was given to flights of exotica and he was unusually image-conscious. He wanted to impress people with his worldliness and what better way to do so than to fabricate a story that he was born in Kenya. Given the revelations by David Maraniss that there were over three dozen factual inaccuracies (and these were not trivial inaccuracies) in "Dreams From My Father" and the ongoing liberties the senator/candidate/president takes with any matter of substance, it further establishes that our president is a pathological liar.
But we as a people have decided that truth is not important and I do not advocate that Congress investigate the president's eligibility on matters of habitual dishonesty. Of course, Indonesian citizenship is another matter altogether. Comment: I bet if Sarah Palin had told her literary agent that she was born in Canada, the major news outlets would NOT have killed the story.

"Re forged birth certificate. I agree with you that the claims of the birth certificate being forged come from Obama's enemies and are simply made up by them. Among the birther "experts" are Paul Irey, who showed his attitude towards Obama by continuing to insist that Obama never attended Columbia College, despite Columbia University saying that he did, and that he graduated, and Doug Vogt, who showed his rationality by claiming to have discovered the original altar of Abraham. Want to see his site?
There are many real experts who say that there is nothing wrong with Obama's birth certificate, including John Woodman, who happens to be a member of the Tea Party and who dislikes Obama and Obama's policies, but shows that the birther "experts" are wrong. They also include Ivan Zatkovich, who was hired by WND to examine the image of Obama's birth certificate, and when he submitted his report that there was nothing wrong with Obama's birth certificate, WND simply did not publish it."
I am sorry to say that I am ignorant of most things birth certificate related. I do not know Irey or Vogt or Woodman. At some point I will ask WND if they killed a dissenting report from Ivan Zatkovich and I will report the correspondence here.

"A question for you? Do people always obey the law?"
I am sorry to say that I do. That is more a sad testimonial to age than to virtue or citizenship.
"If it ever got to court, the court might ask the Indonesian Embassy to send someone to testify, and what would that person say? She or he would say: "Obama was never a citizen of Indonesia." And that would settle it."
Then let us settle it.

Why not just call Jay Carney?

Re: "Is a minor automatically adopted by one's stepfather under Indonesian law? Doesn't a child have to be an Indonesian citizen to attend Indonesian schools?" "The answer is NO and again NO (that claim was made up by birthers), but you can check for yourself. Once again, the Indonesian Embassy knows all about such things. They even have a legal expert on their staff."
I would prefer that someone versed in law make such inquiries.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"We know that Obama used his step-father's name. There is NO evidence that he was adopted, and there would be evidence if he were. There is no evidence that he changed his name legally, and there would be evidence if he did. So, he just used the name."
I appreciate your learned opinion on this but I do believe these matters deserve further scrutiny.

These are not sour grapes, nor is this a vendetta and despite what Chris Matthews might tell you, this plea for Congressional investigation is not racially motivated. This is a matter of national security. David Petraeus was terminated (or asked to resign) as Director of CIA. The explanation given was that he had a mistress and this constituted a security risk (even though all significant parties knew of his mistress at the time of his confirmation.)
If the president is hiding a potentially scandalous secret does that not make the Commander-In-Chief a security risk? Is he not vulnerable to blackmail? Is he not beholden to whomever might share in knowledge of said secret?
Barack Obama might have stonewalled in the past to conceal politically disatrous but not necessarily disqualifying material. But he is now in his second term and he has said himself that he will never again seek political office. So if he listed his place of birth as Kenya on a college application or his citizenship as Indonesian, or if he neglected to take an economics course or if he wrote anti-American theses, or if he reveals a failing grade in basic math, now is the time to come clean. Those are not impeachable offenses and his loyalists will maintain their loyalty NO MATTER WHAT! They probably won't bother to examine such matters.
But there is also the distinct possibility that Barack Obama is concealing an eligibility issue. This is not mere speculation. The Indonesian Citizenship issue has never been investigated. If Congress does not act, who will?

Congress Needs To Examine Barack Obama And The Eligibility Issue
There are two challenges to Barack Obama's eligiibility. One, that Obama was never a natural born citizen. Two, Obama might or might not have been a natural born citizen but that he lost his US citizenship when as a child he was legally adopted by a foreign national and by law he was required to reapply for US citizenship. Failure to apply for citizenship would mean that Barack Obama is an Indonesian national and an illegal immigrant. Should he apply for citizenship Barack Obama would not be a natural born citizen and thus, ineligible to be president.
Of the two challenges, I believe the latter is the stronger. Through no fault of his own, the minor child Barry Soetoro became an Indonesian citizen and lost his US citizenship. Those are some stubborn facts that might be tough to wish away should they ever be held up to the light of reason. But there have been no serious challenges on these grounds.
Instead, constitutionalists have challenged Obama's birth status. This might be a case of charging the cape instead of the matador. David Gregory and other Obots loved to bring up the birth challenges out of the blue to people like Michelle Bachmann and John Boehner who were not challenging Obama's birth status. Clearly, the loyalists had something up their sleeves. They would prefer to label all challengers "Birthers" and to shape the debate--such that it is--to revolve around birth certificates and such. Who knows how the Obamamedia would treat an Indonesian challenge.
It should be noted that even the preferred Birther challenge was not met as smoothly as Team Obama would have liked. Grandstander Joe Arpaio not let the matter go. Nor would Orly Taitz nor the state of Alabama. Now, Lord Christopher Monckton is weighing in on the subject. Can Barry and Obamamedia run out the clock?
The stakes are high. Should Obama be declared ineligible to serve as president, his every presidential action will be challenged. Every executive order and every piece of legislation and even two Supreme Court Justices will be challenged. I hope the two Obama nominees will have the decency to recuse themselves. Fat Chance.
Come on Congress. Let's resolve the eligibility issue once and for all.
An Interesting Quote That I Just Had To Pass On
And it’s also only natural that they would be attracted to a candidate like Obama, whose entire career has been built on lies, coverups, abuse of power and disdain for traditional American values. They’re drawn to his narcissism.

Is Boehner America's Neville Chamberlain?
Boehner is America's best hope against the national socialists but he will probably sell us out. It could be to the Speaker's long term advantage to oppose the feuhrer but he probably doesn't see it that way.
If Boehner caves, a new Speaker of the House is the first order of business. The second order of business is to groom a Tea Party prospect for Boehener's seat in 2014. The third order of business is to obliterate Boehner from the political landscape once and for all.
With friends like Neville Chamberlain needs enemies?

An Immodest Proposal
If the Dems want to "forgive" ex-students their college loans they should offset this expenditure by taxing the institutions who benefited from the mass fleecing. I propose a surcharge of 20% on all tuition over $10,000/year. The surcharge will also extend to expenses like textbooks and lab fees and room and board and shall be levied until such time that the taxpayer is relieved of the burden created by this act of erasure.

Obama Mght Be Outed And Impeached In The Same Year
2013 might be a tough year for the president. His administration deftly ran out the election clock on Benghazi, Fast and Furious and security leaks could emerge as a third scandal. But Benghazi and Fast and Furious are alive and well and they will be returning to center stage in the near future.
The Fast and Furious investigation will resume with Eric Holder being held in contempt of Congress. A declaration of Executive Privilege is not necessarily a "Get Out of Jail Free" card. The parallels with Watergate are remarkable. In 1972, President Nixon successfully ran out the clock and was re-elected in a landslide. Immediately thereafter his problems snowballed.
It has often been said about Watergate that it was not the crime but the cover-up that destroyed the administration. True. Truer yet about Fast and Furious. This is a complicated case. I don't know what happens when the Attorney General is held in contempt. Executive Privilege can stall the process but there are constraints on this exercise. If the White House can be shown to obstruct justice (as with Watergate) the entire administration will unravel like a Chinese sweater in a bed of kittens. A criminal cover-up could certainly result in impeachment.
Then, there is Benghazi. Again, a cover-up has been attempted but this cover-up might not be criminal in nature. Susan Rice et al (an et al that includes the president and the secretary of state) were not under oath when they lied to the American people. So this administration might get yet another pass on yet another series of lies. But then there was a bloodless coup where Petraeus and others were asked to resign. Uh oh.
This is a ham-fisted operation if ever there was one. If high-level personnel were terminated to keep them quiet that could be construed as an obstruction of justice (even though a criminal probe had not yet been launched.) And this tactic also highlights the national security issue of personal relationships.
That might sound like excess verbiage but let me explain. If General Petraeus is asked to resign because he has a mistress and thus is vulnerable to blackmail, what does that say about someone who might have smoked crack and gotten it on with Larry Sinclair? The door will be knocked off its hinges and "All The President's Men" could take on a whole new meaning.
In the Benghazi scandal the cover-up might pale in comparison to the events of September 11, 2012. Fast and Furious resulted in dozens of deaths but a few mea culpas could have ended it. The public watches too much cheesy television where the government employees are always saintly. In real life government agencies have used criminal proxies to distribute weapons and narcotics and then bust the subordinates. They might rail against the drugs or guns as they distribute them but they have distributed contraband as adroitly as any criminal enterprise.
This might not be a routine exercise but it is not an uncommon practice either. Eric Holder could have said "mistakes were made" and we could have moved on. Instead, there was an elaborate cover-up. That is where Fast and Furious and Benghazi diverge.
Whatever happened on September 11, 2012 was scandalous. Ain't no rug big enough to sweep this one under. Presidential inaction might be the most favorable spin for this scandal. A personality that will pimp his own mother's memory and allow his half-brother and aunt to live in squalor might just hit the snooze button when his fellow Americans are under attack. Chilling to think that the president's indifference might have resulted in the torture and death of four of his countrymen. But reality might be even worse. Much worse.
So the president might get outed, his staff indicted and he might get impeached while enduring prolonged budget wars as the Middle East continues to flare up from time to time. These events might break a normal man but the narcissist will revel in the attention. The narcissist will celebrate his stardom as his country burns.
2013 should be an interesting year.

Items From My Mailbox. Thanks Bonnie
You’re sound asleep when you hear a thump outside your bedroom door.
Half-awake, and nearly paralyzed with fear, you hear muffled whispers.
At least two people have broken into your house and are moving your way.
With your heart pumping, you reach down beside your bed and pick up your shotgun.
You rack a shell into the chamber, then inch toward the door and open it.
In the darkness, you make out two shadows.
One holds something that looks like a crowbar.
When the intruder brandishes it as if to strike, you raise the shotgun and fire.
The blast knocks both thugs to the floor.
One writhes and screams while the second man crawls to the front door and lurches outside.
As you pick up the telephone to call police, you know you're in trouble.
In your country, most guns were outlawed years before, and the few that are privately owned are so stringently regulated as to make them useless..
Yours was never registered.
Police arrive and inform you that the second burglar has died.
They arrest you for First Degree Murder and Illegal Possession of a Firearm.
When you talk to your attorney, he tells you not to worry: authorities will probably plea the case down to manslaughter.
"What kind of sentence will I get?" you ask.
"Only ten-to-twelve years," he replies, as if that's nothing.
"Behave yourself, and you'll be out in seven."
The next day, the shooting is the lead story in the local newspaper.
Somehow, you're portrayed as an eccentric vigilante while the two men you shot are represented as choirboys.
Their friends and relatives can't find an unkind word to say about them..
Buried deep down in the article, authorities acknowledge that both "victims" have been arrested numerous times.
But the next day's headline says it all:
"Lovable Rogue Son Didn't Deserve to Die."
The thieves have been transformed from career criminals into Robin Hood-type pranksters..
As the days wear on, the story takes wings.
The national media picks it up, then the international media.
The surviving burglar has become a folk hero.
Your attorney says the thief is preparing to sue you, and he'll probably win.
The media publishes reports that your home has been burglarized several times in the past and that you've been critical of local police for their lack of effort in apprehending the suspects.
After the last break-in, you told your neighbor that you would be prepared next time.
The District Attorney uses this to allege that you were lying in wait for the burglars.
A few months later, you go to trial.
The charges haven't been reduced, as your lawyer had so confidently predicted.
When you take the stand, your anger at the injustice of it all works against you..
Prosecutors paint a picture of you as a mean, vengeful man.
It doesn't take long for the jury to convict you of all charges.
The judge sentences you to life in prison.
This case really happened.
On August 22, 1999, Tony Martin of Emneth, Norfolk , England , killed one burglar and wounded a second.
In April, 2000, he was convicted and is now serving a life term..
How did it become a crime to defend one's own life in the once great British Empire ?
It started with the Pistols Act of 1903.
This seemingly reasonable law forbade selling pistols to minors or felons and established that handgun sales were to be made only to those who had a license.
The Firearms Act of 1920 expanded licensing to include not only handguns but all firearms except shotguns..
Later laws passed in 1953 and 1967 outlawed the carrying of any weapon by private citizens and mandated the registration of all shotguns.
Momentum for total handgun confiscation began in earnest after the Hungerford mass shooting in 1987.Michael Ryan, a mentally disturbed man with a Kalashnikov rifle, walked down the streets shooting everyone he saw.
When the smoke cleared, 17 people were dead.
The British public, already de-sensitized by eighty years of "gun control", demanded even tougher restrictions.
(The seizure of all privately owned handguns was the objective even though Ryan used a rifle.)
Nine years later, at Dunblane , Scotland ,
Thomas Hamilton used a semi-automatic weapon to murder 16 children and a teacher at a public school.
For many years, the media had portrayed all gun owners as mentally unstable, or worse, criminals.
Now the press had a real kook with which to beat up law-abiding gun owners.
Day after day, week after week, the media gave up all pretense of objectivity and demanded a total ban on all handguns.
The Dunblane Inquiry, a few
months later, sealed the fate of the
few sidearms
still owned by private citizens.
During the years in which the British government incrementally took away most gun rights, the notion that a citizen had the right to armed self-defense came to be seen as vigilantism. Authorities refused to grant gun licenses to people who were threatened, claiming that self-defense was no longer considered a reason to own a gun.Citizens who shot burglars or robbers or rapists were charged while the real criminals were released.
Indeed, after the Martin shooting, a police spokesman was quoted as saying,
"We cannot have people take the law into their own hands."
All of Martin's neighbors
had been robbed numerous times,
and several elderly people were severely injured in beatings by young thugs
who had no fear of the consequences.
Martin himself, a collector of antiques,
had seen most of his collection
trashed or stolen by burglars.
When the Dunblane Inquiry ended,
citizens who owned handguns
were given three months to turn them over to local authorities.
Being good British subjects,
most people obeyed the law.
The few who didn't were visited by police
and threatened with ten-year prison sentences if they didn't comply.
Police later bragged that they'd taken
nearly 200,000 handguns from private citizens.
How did the authorities know who had handguns?
The guns had been registered and licensed.
Kind of like cars. Sound familiar?
WAKE UP AMERICA ; THIS IS WHY OUR FOUNDING FATHERS PUT THE SECOND AMENDMENT IN OUR CONSTITUTION.
"...It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds.."--Samuel Adams
If you think this is important, please forward to everyone you know.

The Literal Worship Of Barack Obama
You want to send a chill up my spine? Don't show me a vampire or a zombie. No werewolves or serial killers. I could sleep through "Saw" or "Hell Raiser" or Elm Street anything. All a giant yawn.
But show me a brainwashed cultist and the nightmares will start long before I sleep. Cult leaders are the creepiest thing in the whole world, except of course for their followers. Brrrr.
Jamie Foxx refers to Barack Obama as "our lord and our savior." In the comments on Youtube there are several "You are too stupid to get that he is joking..." And I suspect that if Foxx is pressed he will say that clearly it is a joke and the people who are weirded out are just too stupid to understand his humor.
Foxx isn't joking. He is indeed an Obama supporter. Obama worship is real and it is real creepy. Unless one is promoting a Solyndra, a Light Squared, A General Electric, a Goldman Sachs or something of that ilk, there is no rational reason to vote for Barack Obama.
The keyword is rational. Yes, there are irrational reasons to vote for one's cult leader. Ask Jamie Foxx about that.
My first post at this site four years ago dealt with the frightening religiosity of Obama's Kool-Aid kids. "What it took me a long time to realize is that religion performs a socially {I should have said social not socially. Oh well. I was rushed.}utilitarian function. It allowed for the suspension of reason at specific, designated times. Thus, people were less likely to permanently suspend reason as a lifestyle choice."
It scared me then. It scares me even more now that Obama has been re-elected after turning in one of the worst job performances of any first term president. But if one is under his spell, if one has guzzled the Kool-Aid and pledged allegiance...
I used to think that if people abandoned organized religion, individuals and society would both be more rational. I was wrong. We are genetically religious and that religiosity has to have an outlet. When the outlet is a political figure, tragedy is not far behind.
HE AIN'T JOKING. NO ONE IS LAUGHING. THIS IS SOME SCARY SHIT!

Was Obama A Member Of Man's Country Bathhouse?
Note: This is actually two videos in one. The first one concludes at about 10:50 and the second interview starts right after that.
IS EVERYTHING A COVER-UP WITH THIS GUY?
IS EVERYTHING A COVER-UP WITH THIS GUY?
Toto Must Be A Racist!
This blog has used "Wizard of Oz" references on several occassions and we will probably milk the timeless themes in the future. The juxtaposition of the magical wizard and the man behind the curtain brings to mind a contemporary public figure. Life imitates art.
Supposedly "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" was written as an allegory for the populist movement of the late 19th Century. The populists wanted to convert America from a gold standard to a silver standard. Although I recognize the problems of tight money as it was applied at the time and I recognize that the populists wanted to inflate the currency (fie) I marvel at the two possibilities. I would gladly settle for a silver standard over a policy of funny money.
According to the allegorists, the Yellow Brick Road represents the gold standard. Its terminus is in the Emerald City, aka Washington. In the book, Dorothy wore silver slippers, not ruby slippers as were used in the movie. Dorothy is Everyamerican in all of her innocence and naivete. The Scarecrow is the farmer. The Tin Man is the industrial worker whose heart is lost to his brutal existence. The Cowardly Lion is a composite politician in general and William Jennings Bryan in particular. The Wicked Witch hails from The West. Although the American West has been romanticized, it happened to be an absurdly harsh environment. The Wizard represents the Washington Establishment.
We know how the story ends. Toto pulls back the curtain and reveals the soul of delusion. There is a moment of deflated spirit and then the phony Wizard reveals that he is not all bad. The man behind the curtain reveals himself to be a wise teacher.
The outed Wizard teaches each character that they already possess that which they seek. Their strength lies within their own psyches. This is a theme trumpeted by Christianity and Buddhism and echoed by New Age gurus. A line from a cheesy song by America sums it up pretty well:
"But Oz never did give nothing to the Tin Man
That he didn't, didn't already have"
We then go to bed with warm feelings for all of humanity. Life lessons learned. Even bad people have their redeeming qualities.
Then we wake up to Obama's America and we wonder how life diverged from art. The real life wizard insists he has magical properties long after he has been outed. If he has any wisdom, he is keeping it to himself. You can reassign symbols for the other characters but Dorothy is still Everyamerican and Toto...Toto is the blogger.
Toto is small, loyal and seemingly harmless. He seems almost superfluous but at key junctures he is the pivotal character. The whole fuss was started over Toto. Later, Toto escapes the Wicked Witch's capture, he pulls back the curtain and he jumps out of the balloon that will be piloted by a discredited wizard (perfect metaphor!)
In Obama's America, Toto pulls back the curtain. The Tin Man kicks the mutt in the head and the Scarecrow points his straw hand at the fallen beast and screams "Racist!" at the top of his lungs. The Cowardly Lion promptly secures the curtain in its proper place and Dorothy apologizes and promises to neuter the little bastard just as soon as they get back to Kansas. The fearless foursome then listen intently to the awesome wizard's instructions. They later marvel at his unending compassion and note that this wizard can relate to them as no one else can. Roll the credits.
Again, the divergence. When, the original characters are shown the true nature of the Wizard of Oz, they feel duped. When the real life wizard is revealed, he gets re-elected. Could it be that Baum never possessed a keen insight into human nature? That his characters should have continued adoring the imagery long after the trickery had been exposed? Maybe.
But we should consider another possibility. Maybe we should consider that Baum's characters were perfectly sketched but that human nature has changed since 1900. We live in a post-fact era. Academia, the news media, the entertainment industry--especially online character games--have parroted the message that there is no objective reality. Everything is a matter of opinion and preference. Everything. Entire generations have been taught to not just fear reality but to avoid it when it might be disturbing. The man behind the curtain has been revealed but we prefer to focus our attention on the wizard.
And we must consider one more reason for divergence. By his own admission, the storybook wizard was not a very good wizard. The real life cult leader will never make such a candid confession. Nope. He saw the storybook wizard's mistakes. He should have vilified The Munchkins and blame all of life's problems on their success. He should have plied the travelers with cell phones and EBT cards. Hell yes he was a crappy wizard!
Baum's novel, for all of its truths and insight into humanity, is ultimately hopeful and optimistic. It is a children's book for crying out loud. Reality is more gloomy. Whereas the Wizard of Oz ultimately "comes clean" our wizard never will. Never. Whereas the Wizard of Oz ultimately reveals his good side, our wizard has no good side to reveal. Truth can be ugly. Barack Hussein Obama is not just a bad president, he is a rotten human being. Rotten to his very core.
Meanwhile, Toto blogs. He will try to remain loyal to dumbass Dorothy and he will mostly be a forgotten character. But when the audience least expects it, Toto might just twist the plot in an unforeseen manner. Toto is small in size but there are millions of Totos out there. Every dog has his day. Even Toto.

If Petraeus's Mistress Posed A Security Risk, Should Congress Investigate Barry's Bathhouse Buddies?
So General Petraeus had to be canned. Why? Because he had a mistress and that made him vulnerable to blackmail and thus, a security risk. That was the media explanation.
So if the Commander-In-Chief has or has had extramarital affairs, should that matter be brought to the public's attention? As a follow up question, should the president be forced to resign?
Should Congress subpoena a witness who claims to have had sexual relations with Barack Obama when the future president served in the Illinois Senate? If as Kevin Dujan alleges, that the President's golf outings are really just a pretext for romps with young hombres, is that not a matter of national security? What about the President's "body man?" Is that not a Defense Department concern?
Since September 11, 2012, we have witnessed a bloodless coup where military brass have suddenly retired. I think we know who is behind the purging. If these men's private lives were in need of examination, should not concerned citizens demand that the lives and associations of the highest level of power also be exposed to the light of day?
What do you think?

Reality Versus Comforting Fantasies
In this time of defeat and humiliation, it is useful for me to reflect on lessons I have learned but have forgotten. One of my earliest disillusions occurred in adolescence when it dawned on me that most people do not value truth for its own sake. Life was less a laboratory of fact-finding scientists and more a courtroom of unscrupulous lawyers bent on suppressing or discrediting their opponents' evidence.
The fact that I found this suddenly-altered worldview disturbing says something about my personality. The fact that none of my friends found the courtroom model of epistemology all that terrifying says a lot about other people's personalities. It also foretold a lifelong pattern where I would be in the minority opinion on almost every subject.
Personality tests can be informative but none that I know of address a passion for truth. The Myers-Briggs test approaches the subject of truth and mental processes. They categorize people on sensing vs. intuition, thought vs. feeling, perception vs. judgment (also introversion vs. extroversion but that's probably not as relevant here) but they stop short of categorizing people based on their pursuit of truth vs. people who pursue comforting fantasies.
People who read this blog and blogs like this probably value truth for truth sake. Not so, the general public. Few people would follow Vernon Wayne Howell across the street but dozens of people followed David Koresh to their death. Truth is, David Koresh was Vernon Wayne Howell. The fantasy was David Koresh, prophet and Chosen One. Those who knew him found the fantasy comfortable beyond reason.
It is no stretch to compare Barack Obama to David Koresh. The fainting women, the Obama halo, the mesmerizing speeches void of content, Oprah pronouncing that he is "The One." From its inception, transcendentalism has been a staple of the Obama Campaign.
There are those who focus on the wizard and those who focus on the man behind the curtain. Unfortunately for all of us, there are more of the former than the latter. For a slim majority of American voters, reality is overrated. Truth, so it seems, is indeed inconvenient.

Patrick Leahy Shows His True Colors
Who is spearheading a warrantless email surveillance bill? Could it be that guardian of all things good and noble, the distinguished senior Senator from Vermont? Right you are.
Leahy is walking back this KGB comes to Amerika special for the time being. But he will try again. Be certain of that. Leahy will try again.

Mr. President: You Can Screw All The People Some Of The Time And You Can Screw Some Of The People All The Time But You Cannot Screw The Jews All The Time
Who could have seen this one coming? As soon as the Dems put their champagne glasses down, Israel is hit with a wave of workplace violence. Or as Howie Carr would say: "Israel celebrates diversity."
I don't know what Obama is thinking (does anyone?) but you just do not push The Tribe into a corner. Benjamin Netanyahu is what Don Corleone would call a serious man. He is dead serious about the welfare of his people. If one of his ambassadors and three other public servants were tortured and murdered, his response would be swift, certain and severe. There would be no youtube horseshit story. There would just be dead terrorists (or dead workplace violence folks.)
Israel might be Obama's undoing. The Mossad has a Barry binder with more pages than Chicago has dead voters. The mainstream media might cover for Obama but the Mossad plays by a different set of rules. They are not to be trifled with.
If Israeli blood continues to spill, fire will rain on Gaza. But that will be nothing compared to the media firestorm that will be unleashed on America. At long last, we might finally learn a thing or two about Barack Obama.

Another Cosmic Coincidence
Can you believe it? Hamas starts firing on Israel just days after Obama is re-elected! What are the odds? If I could see those things coming, people would call me Nostradamus.
As soon as the votes were counted, Hamas started shelling! What a cosmic coincidence that was!

An Open Letter To The Republican National Commitee
An Open Letter To The Republican National Commitee
Take this with a grain of salt. I am not a registered Republican and I don't plan to be one anytime soon. But given the state of affairs in this country, I recognize that your party can lay claim to the "lesser of two evils." With all of your sins, you are downright saintly compared to your corrupt, destructive, Anti-American rivals.
I have four general suggestions that are so obvious that I don't think anyone would disagree with them.
1. Establish a fighter as Chairman of The Republican National Commitee.
2. Establish a fighter as Speaker of the House.
3. Don't just acknowledge voter fraud, fight it.
4. Permanently change your relationship with the national media.
I am going out of order as I am wont to do (I told you I am not a Republican.) Fight voter fraud! If James O'Keefe can find repeated efforts at voter fraud on his ramen noodle budget, why can't an organization with a $50 million operating budget find an act of impropriety when it is right under your nose?
If you stated that henceforth 10% or 20% of your budget would be devoted to fighting voter fraud, your donations would increase sufficiently to offset this new expenditure. Try holding just one anti-fraud money bomb. Ron Paul generated over $10 million in 24 hours in 2007 during the first-ever money bomb. Try it! You might be pleasantly surprised at the outcome.
Your party still controls the House. Why is there not a permanent committee on voter integrity? Cleveland, Ohio had precincts that voted one hundred per cent for Obama. In the real world such things do not happen if for no other reason, people inadvertently fill in the wrong name or scribble in the wrong circle. No human error in Cleveland.
What is frustrating about Cleveland is that Ohio has a Republican governor. He did have the resources at his disposal to prevent voter fraud. Did he deploy the State Police or the Attorney General to disrupt these crimes?
Did Port Saint Lucie County, Florida really have a 141% voter turnout? If yes, the FBI should be descending into the Sunshine State in droves. Maybe that number is wrong. But if the number is only 101%, there needs to be a criminal investigation. If the White House has the DOJ handcuffed, there is still Congress and yes, there is still the State of Florida.
Again, Florida is frustrating because Republicans control the Governor's Office and the Republican AG is all over the national news shows. They were in a position to prevent this from happening. They are now in a position to make sure it never happens again. Voter fraud must be stopped, priority numbers one through one hundred.
Jumping back to the first suggestion. You need a fighter as Chairman of RNC. I don't think Priebus is that guy. If his chairmanship is challenged, maybe it will light a fire under his ass, even if he is not successfully deposed.
What is needed is someone like Newt Gingrich. I say someone like Gingrich because Newt is a loose cannon and he would turn off some donors. But Newt does know how to win elections. He is never afraid to speak the truth and he will call voter fraud, voter fraud. Newt will not be intimidated by a false charge of racism or misogyny. You need his pugnacious spirit if not his physical presence. Newt? Palin? You need a heavyweight in this position.
Now let us focus on The Speaker of The House. We will know real soon if Boehner is the right choice. I think he might be if only because it does not serve his own future to cave on the "fiscal cliff" or Benghazi or Fast and Furious. Oh and if we are making a Christmas list we could add voter fraud investigations, illegal campaign financing investigations, and defunding NPR, PBS and anything related to General Electric to our already long string of requests.
We will know soon if Boehner is our guy. If not, a new candidate should challenge the incumbent.
Lastly, change forever your relationship with the press. Do not talk to the national press. Let it be known that you will not fund any candidate who talks to the national media. If they want to talk to the media from their home district, they should do so at their own discretion.
As long as your candidates talk with the national press, they are putting their seal of legitimacy on the pro-Obama media. Why, oh why, oh why would you allow your candidates to subject themselves to Gregory or Stephanopolos and to pummel them with "do you still wage war on women?" kinds of questions. Furthermore, do not allow the national media to moderate your primary debates! Duhhh.
There was a time when it was essential to converse with the national media. That day has passed. Twitter and Facebook changed the rules forever. You and your candidates and your office holders can communicate with an audience unimpeded by charges of racism, misogyny, fraud or murder. You cannot win with the pro-Obama media. They must be shunned!
Shunning is the first step. With the rise of cable and satellite and Internet delivery, local network affiliates struggle. However, they have benefited nicely from election commercials. The affiliates are now dependent on this revenue stream. Let it be known that the GOP will not spend a penny with NBC affiliates in either 2014 or 2016.
The GOP candidates will not suffer by boycotting NBC affiliates. The GOP will continue to buy air time from ABC and CBS and Fox affiliates as well as independent channels and cable outlets. But NBC is 86. Of course, everything NBC (The Weather Channel, Telemundo, NBC Entertainment, NBC News) will also be cut off. And as previously suggested, if Congress defunded General Electric's lucrative government contracts, I bet we would see a greater respect for truth at every NBC venue.
There you have it. I am no genius but I can point out the obvious, something your brain trust has failed to do. Then again, I am not a Republican.

What If Boehner Does Not Cave?
What if Boehner Does Not Cave?
I know. We are all waiting for the other blade to drop and maybe it will. Maybe it will. Then again, why should it drop now?
One quick clarification. This is not THE fiscal cliff. This is a fiscal cliff. We will need more parachutes for more cliffs in the future and I am not sure there can be a soft landing when we descend the fiscal Grand Canyon. But the narrative fits nicely for the pro-Obama media. After placing a moratorium on discussing fiscal issues leading up to the election, they will be able to say that The Pampered One has solved our fiscal dilemma once and for all and that he did so with bipartisan support. Any bad news from here on out is someone else's fault. Long live the spin.
Things might work out that way and Barry will accept his Nobel Prize in Economics. Maybe. But maybe John Boehner won't be so cooperative.
From my perspective, John Boehner is not a complicated animal. No Hamlets here. This is a thinly drawn made for TV character who could be described in one sentence. John Boehner is a shrewd political pragmatist.
Boehner is not one of us. So what? This is a guy who has seen political fads come and go. The Libertarians. The LaRouchians. The Constitutionalists. The Buchananites. The Reform Party. Maybe Boehner thinks the Tea Party might just be one more flavor of the month destined for the political scrap heap. He could be right in that assessment.
What motivates Mr. Speaker? This is speculative but probably accurate:
1. Re-election.
2. Maintaining his position as Speaker of the House.
3. Expanding his power.
4. Camera time.
First, if Boehner does not wage a credible budget fight, he will be challenged for his leadership position. Win or lose, that battle will damage his prospects for re-election in 2014. So the best case scenario for Boehner (and quite possibly the best case scenario for the Tea Party) is to get huge budget cuts and delay the tax issues for one more year.
The Speaker is as vain as one might expect him to be. He likes to recall the people who shook his hand in airports during the early days of the tea party and told him how much they needed him and respected him for standing up to the forces of evil. Remember that dreary Sunday evening when Speaker Boehner roared "Hell no, you didn't read the bill!" to a pack of weasels who clearly neglected their representational duties? It was a grim day for America but it was a glorious moment for John Boehner. With that bold and truthful proclamation John Boehner sealed his future as Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The Speaker of the House is the second most powerful position in the United States. When the presidency is weakened or compromised, the Speaker is the most powerful person on Planet Earth. From 2007 to 2008 Nancy Pelosi carried more clout than George Bush. From 2007 to 2011 Nancy Pelosi was the most powerful woman the world has ever known.
There have been presidents like Truman and Eisenhower who assumed the office without really trying. Not so, Speaker of the House. They are all political pirahna who devour other fast, hungry, sharp-toothed cannibals to seize the magic gavel. Every speaker craves power and dominance and every speaker understands power and dominance. Boehner is no exception.
If Boehner can schedule a Fiscal Cliff Battle Royale Sequel next year, he will certainly remain in the limelight. And make no doubt about it, he will be dealing with a White House that will be busy treading water, if not fighting impeachment. I see a bleak future for Barack Obama and I believe Boehner smells political blood in political waters. It could be a great time to be Speaker of the House. Boehner knows it.

A Brief Open Letter To Mitt Romney
Dear Governor:
During his election celebration, President Obama stated that he would like to sit with you and what was the empty verbiage? "Resolve our differences" ??? I forget. It's all empty verbiage with this guy anyway.
Please do not meet with Obama for any reason. You are not Speaker of the House or Senate Minority Leader and you are not a sitting governor. You are a private citizen and you have no obligation to meet with a sleazeball.
If the president wanted to discuss differences, he had the entire campaign to do so. But issues were off-limits to the Chicago Gang. Lies are all they will ever know.
Ultimately, your differences were crystal clear. You were an honest, forthright crusader who had a vision for his country. Your opponent was and is a bitter, petty, compulsive liar who has chosen to conceal his plans for our country. If you meet with this compulsive liar you will put your seal of approval on his every falsehood. He lied about you because he never respected you. He lies to the American people because he does not respect us.
You are a good man, Governor Romney. Don't go into the sewer with this guy. You did your best to run an honest campaign. Please do not place your imprimatur on this con artist's unending duplicity. Life is too short for that.
Thank you, Governor Romney for a sincere effort to rescue your country. Please don't cheapen that noble effort by meeting with the biggest fraud in history. That will only serve to legitimatize President Alinsky's campaign and President Alinsky's agenda. You are a better man than that.
Good luck, Governor.

Two Can Play The Alinsky Game
I keep hearing the Dems and media types say "The election is over. Let's put the rancor behind us." In other years, it might be the perfect response to "get over it."
Not this year. Not after the Dems spent $250 million to assassinate the character of an incredibly decent man. That number does not include the free assistance the Networks provided. Let us also remind everyone that Obama's attacks were divorced of fact.
Romney was never a murderer. He never caused cancer. He was never a tax cheat or a felon. He has never been a misogynist. Lies on tops of lies on tops of lies. Truth means absolutely nothing to Obama, the Democrats and the networks. Nothing. Now we are supposed to be civil? I think not.
Before Romney there was the character assassination of Sarah Palin. Truth was also optional in that case. So was the smear of George Bush. Yes, Bush was a nincompoop but he never started a war over oil nor was Hurricane Katrina a genocidal conspiracy nor did he drain middle class bank accounts to provide more wealth for the top 1 per cent.
There are several lessons to the recent election but I will limit our focus to just two. One, lies work. No one has ever lied like Obama. That's because no one has ever had the license to do so. The news media kept politicians in line. Dick Nixon might have had treachery in his heart but his falsehoods were limited by the fourth estate. The news media allowed the Obama campaign (and the Obama Administration for that matter) to lie with impunity. We ain't getting over it anytime soon.
The second lesson to learn from the last election is that negative politics work. Whereas, I do not advocate that we ever practice dishonesty under any circumstances, I do advocate reciprocal negativity. Romney took the high road and lost. What might have worked in the Reagan era won't work in the Springer era. Two can play the Alinsky game. Let's play it now. 365 days a year. No offseason.
So when the snakes ask us to kiss and make up, do remind them that their messiah is an admitted crackhead, a chronic and compulsive liar, an unrepentant Marxist, and according to multiple sources, he is a serial sodomizer. Remind them of this, every time Obama's name is mentioned. Every time.
No lies. No offseason. No mercy. You got two middle fingers. Use them.

If You Voted For Obama In 2008, You Were A Dupe But if You Voted For Him In 2012...
Note: I composed the following on election day but left Facebook before posting it.
I never thought I would see this day. America has been ravaged from within. I am Charlton Heston screaming at the Statue of Liberty. It would not be a nuclear war that would destroy America. Rather, it would be an economic Armageddon that would spell our demise. It is suicide on the installment plan but it is suicide nonetheless.
Barack Obama might be the only president who hated America. And hate America he does. He hates American traditions and customs. He hates the US Constitution and he hates all Americans who cannot be used as political pawns.
I am not footnoting Obama's overt acts of hostility at this stage of the game. Yes, I advocate for rational discourse but this rant is directed to people indifferent or even hostile to the very premise of fact. If one practices deliberate, intentional, willful blindness as a preferred lifestyle then I can't be bothered to line up the ducks for you.
Oh, but Obama is hostile to America, make no doubt about it. Dinesh D'Souza wrote a book and filmed a documentary wherein he attributes Obama's overt malice for America to his embracing of anti-colonialism. I know. I know. I know. You are dismissive of D'Souza and can't be bothered with anything he might utter. Yours is the politically correct cannon and D'Souza has been indexed several times over.
But consider this. What other president could create an entire industry based on speculation as to the intellectual basis of his anti-Americanism? The what had long been established. The why has always been mystifying. Millions of us turned out at the theaters in a desperate attempt to answer the questions, who is this unvetted president and why does he hate us so?
I don't understand self-hating Americans but I recognize that they have always been with us. America was good to Ethel and Julius Rosenberg. There was certainly less anti-Semitism here than in the Soviet Union.
America was good to Lee Harvey Oswald. America was good to Major Hasan. America was good to Anwar al-Awlaki. But why does a man who takes two jets on vacation at taxpayer expense still have a chip on his shoulder and invites his followers to vote out of revenge?
If you voted for Obama in 2008 you were a dupe. If you voted for Obama in 2012 you are a traitor. America is $16 trillion in debt and the meter is running. That is roughly $50,000 per person or $100,000 per taxpayer, not including off-budget expenses.
Romney was the vastly superior candidate if only because he acknowledged the existence of a problem. When Obama revealed to David Letterman that he didn't know how big the national debt happened to be, I don't know what was more depressing: The fact that the President of the United States displayed his abject ignorance of the country's fate or that he did so on "Late Night With David Letterman."
The Democrats seized control of both houses of Congress in 2006 and shortly thereafter our debt skyrocketed. If such things matter, the Republicans of that era can make the claim that they were the lesser of two evils. George Bush and Rick Santorum and Tom Delay had sent us putt-putting towards the fiscal cliff. The Democrats took control and threw a brick on the accelerator. What do we have to shown for this doubling of national debt? The world's best rail system? A doubling of med schools and hospitals? A revamped infrastructure? Colonies on the moon? No. We have nothing to show for our spending spree. Nothing! Nothing! Nothing!
You have underestimated the catastrophic nature of fiscal collapse. You have ignored the social ramifications of an economic tsunami. The so-called meltdown of 2008 will be a night in a pub by comparison.
We should be hesitant to inject Hitler into any conversation but that demagogue would never have been able to hijack a great country had it not been for a preceding currency crisis. Swastikas now fly in Greece and it is estimated that 25 % of Greek citizens have allied themselves with the Neo-Nazis (And Greece was fortunate to be bailed out by France and Germany. If we go down, there is no one big enough to bail us out.)
The Neo-Nazis of Greece seem to be as woefully ignorant of economic principles as our own Occupy Wall Street crowd. But both groups understand finger-pointing and scapegoating and blame. "There is nothing so frightful as ignorance in action." You have witnessed the ignorance. Brace yourself for the action.
Obama possibly, nay probably, wants to oversee economic collapse. Tyrants have never known how to make countries rich but they certainly know how to make countries poor. The gulf between rich and poor will be bridged. Social justice achieved.
We will all look silly having spent our years arguing over budgets when there is nothing left to budget. Dollars to Medicaid or Medicare? Neither. Who should receive food stamps? Doesn't matter. Guns or butter? Neither. Social Security or sewers or VA hospitals? None of the above. All gone.
Will you remember how charming Obama was on "The View" when gas is five dollars a gallon? Will you remember how cutesie pie he happened to be on Jimmy Fallon when you stand in line for gas? Will you think of Oprah or Ashton or Demi when there is no heat for your home? Thank goodness we will have fond memories to get us through our troubled times.
There were plenty of reasons to reject Obama. To review a few of them:
1. Gross incompetence.
2. Obama's ongoing expressions of Anti-Americanism.
3. Obama's lust for power.
4. Obama's abuse of power.
5. Widespread corruption.
6. The constant promotion of hate and rancor especially the false charges of racism directed at anyone who dares to criticize the One.
7. Obama's unending arrogance.
8. Superficiality over substance.
9. The practice of chronic duplicity and dishonesty such as this country has never before witnessed.
10. A disturbed and disturbing personality.
Once more, I am not foot-noting my assertions for those of you who have taken a vow of willful blindness. Some of the most disturbing information about Barack Hussein Obama has been available since 2007, if not earlier. No need to interrupt your ignorant bliss at this juncture.
A few quick comments:
Gross incompetence! Do I have to elaborate? Unemployment. Gas prices. Weak dollar. Probable energy shortages. Benghazi. Fast and Furious. A significantly less stable Middle East. Oh, and of course, trillions of dollars in new debt and nothing to show for it. But other than that...
Obama's abuse of power: The IRS was used to harass nascent Tea Party groups. Ministers were threatened with loss of tax-exempt status. The Catholic Church was told they could not live their faith. Romney contributors were threatened by Department of Justice. An idiot filmmaker is detained and scapegoated for the Administration's dereliction of duty. Gallup Polling is attacked by the DOJ after publishing less than favorable results about the incumbent. The tip of the iceberg!
Widespread corruption: The word nixonian might come to mean virtuous by comparison. I will reduce this encyclopedia of material to one case. In return for lucrative government contracts and no corporate taxation, General Electric serves up NBC, MSNBC, Telemundo, The Weather Channel and much, much more to promote the Obama agenda. Whatever else one might say about Fox News or EIB Network, they are not dependent on graft for their survival. Somewhere, Spiro is smiling.
The constant promotion of hate and rancor: Let me address the members of the audience who do not hate anyone or anything. The self-righteous citizens who do not even hate hate. You, Mr. and Mrs. Sanctimonious, have placed your imprimatur on a quarter billion dollar hate campaign directed at an undeserving target. Mitt Romney is an incredibly decent man. The Obama Administration has labeled Romney a murderer, a felon, a tax cheat and a misogynist. He was never any of those things and you know it. But we live in a post-fact era. Truth and falsehood are outdated concepts. Social standing and celebrity friendships. Those are what matter. Oh and by the way, Mr. and Mrs. We Don't Even Know How To Hate, what is more hateful than the wrongful accusation of racism? This sleazy president has played the race card constantly on matters as unrelated to race as say, Cash for Clunkers. What does it say about the character of a man who plays the race card every time he is faced with legitimate criticism? What does it say that he uses his proxies to spew his hate speech? You tell me.
Chronic duplicity and dishonesty: It is the Obama Administration's strategy to carpet bomb us with falsehood. It takes longer to refute a falsehood than to advance a falsehood. And with the major news networks in a subservient role to the administration, most of the lies go unchecked.
So let us examine just one bold-faced lie that the major media refused to examine. Warren Buffet does not want to pay more taxes! If he wanted to pay more taxes, he would have done so. In fact, Berkshire Hathaway owes Uncle Sam a little over $1 billion. Buffet participated in Obama's puppet show in hopes of gaining a favorable settlement. Should this be filed in the corruption file or the chronic duplicity file?
The president has revealed himself to be a pathological liar. But let us look past the volume of lies and the constancy of lies and examine the audacity of just one lie. To advance his own political agenda, Barack Hussein Obama created a fairy tale of his mother dying of cancer at the hands of greedy insurance barons. Yes, I am a bit old-fashioned but I can remember when pimping one's own mother was frowned upon in some social circles. Times change, I guess.
Now, let me break some bad news to you. Your president has a few problems. In clinical terms, he isn't playing with a full deck of cards. He does not have all of his oars in the water. He is a few French Fries shy of a Happy Meal. You don't know what I am talking about? Do your own damn research. You refused to look at the man behind the curtain. Let your wizard offer you some consolation!
"Oh but I voted for Obama because I am a liberal." No. I am a liberal. You are a fascist. The LaRouchians got this one right. The president has never met an industry he does not want to control. There is no sector off-limits with this guy. He even wants your medical records. His gross preferential treatment for the politically-connected tips the sphere of influence in every aspect of American life. And the president has surrounded himself with control freaks and micro managers unified by a contempt for the average American. Liberalism is dead. Rest in peace.
"But we have always tolerated our political differences." Yes, but these are not mere political differences. We are on the cusp of totalitarianism. Economic collapse is the brightest object on the horizon. The resulting social upheaval will be dark by any standards. Bad things are ahead for America and consequently, for the whole world. I blame you.
You chose a course of conscious, intentional, willful blindness. It does not matter what evidence is presented if you refuse to examine the evidence. You were derelict of duty not just as a citizen, but as a human being as well.
You put your party before your country. Your mind is so twisted with hate for conservatives or Christians, or Republicans, or Tea Partiers or anyone who does not validate your prejudices, that you are willing to destroy your country to spite your enemies.
I think I might have lived too long. All over the world, America's enemies celebrate Obama's victory. Obama won. USA lost. I am leaving Facebook because I can't stand to see my own family cheer the demise of our country. I can't stand to see my own friends spike the football in America's end zone. I wish I had not seen this day.
Bye bye friends.
Let us hope for change.

Confusion
I am still trying to make sense of yesterday's elections. If you had said that Obama would receive 4 million fewer votes now than in 2008 and still win, I would question your sanity. But that's what happened.
Two things of which I am certain: 1. Negative ads work. If the GOP is to survive, they have to get in the sewer with their rivals. 2. TV is still king and the Dems control TV. Newspapers and magazines have lost their clout but TV is still king, even amongst the Youtube crowd. If anything, it has gained stature by Youtube replays and more importantly, the politicization of the entertainment divisions. We can expound on both of those but for now, let's focus on those things that don't explain themselves so easily.
1. Dick Morris is a dumbass. OK, he wasn't the only "expert" who missed this one. Wayne Allen Root, Karl Rove, Michael Barone...Nate Silver carried the day his explanation is lacking.
2. Obama's ground game was greatly overstated. Yes, it was good enough to win but if you lose 4 million voters, how great can it be? I think this is what Nate Silver was alluding to.
3. The female voter carried the day. I guess I should check my premises on this one. Abortion somehow become a central issue. I remember reading or hearing somewhere long ago that women on average opposed abortion in higher percentages than men. Maybe that was wrong.
I also remember reading that women are more likely to vote for a man than for a woman. The harshest resistance to Palin and Bachmann came from women both inside and outside their party. In New Hampshire, three seemingly weak female candidates defeated three so so males, two of whom were incumbents and had beaten the same women in 2008. New Hampshire elected two females to Congress and one to governor.
I recognize that single women vote differently than married women and single mothers vote overwhelmingly Democratic. Is that the demographic we need to target? I hope not.
4. The GOP's efforts to diversify are noble but ultimately futile. Both Allen West and Mia Love lost. These were not just token black candidates, they were both touted as rising stars.
5. Religion just isn't what it used to be. Ralph Reed failed to get out the vote. The Bishop of the New Hampshire Diocese instructed his priests to read a "vote your conscience" letter from the pulpit on the Sunday before the election. It did no good. I thought the Dems shouting down God at their convention might resonate on election day. Nope.
6. The NRA ain't what it used to be. Obama hates guns and he could stack the deck on the Supreme Court to overturn the Second Amendment.
7. I am reluctant to believe that Hurricane Sandy was a game changer. I believe in the stupification of America but most people know a photo op when they see one. Maybe not.
8. How valuable is military service to a political career? In 2008 I talked to a lot of Obots and I was shocked at how little McCain's war hero status meant to them. They sneered and mocked him for his service. Some conservatives disliked Mitt because he did not serve nor did any of his five sons. So it still means something, right? Well, Allen West was defeated by a nobody. So, maybe not.
9. So if God and guns and prosperity no longer matter, what does matter? I suppose celebrity endorsements matter (that is so sad to me) but did Gaga involve herself in the Senate elections in Montana and North Dakota? And if the GOP is so damn popular with white people why can they not win those states?
Help and comments would be appreciated.
