Let Us Not Ruin Our Holiday Cheer But...

This will be the best Christmas in a long time. We will celebrate CHRISTMAS this year and say thanks for the relief of pressure from around our necks. We will breathe a little deeper this holiday season.

So we may not be inclined to interrupt our Gemutlichkeit to examine every facet of an ugly event. Some of us though, just won't be able to help ourselves.

I am referring to the US's Security Council abstention. That is so, so, so characteristically Obama.

Action through inaction.

Working behind the scenes on an ulterior motive.

Deception.

Opaqueness.

More facets than we can list here. Yet, one of these viewpoints outshines all others. That would the priss factor. It is the seeking of vengeance on a matter that should not be personal. As we have seen, everything is personal with Obama. This is Zsa Zsa slapping a cop named Netanyahu. The cop walks away unhurt but duly insulted and humiliated by a privileged diva. The priss factor.

Let us revisit our holiday cheer. Not even our Diva-in-chief can ruin this Christmas.

As Tiny Tim says, "A Merry Christmas to us all; God bless us, every one!"

Obama vs Netanyahu

The contrasts could not be more stark. Obama is once more the prissy diva and shall ever be a prissy diva. The prima donna qualities are brought to focus when the diva is compared to a passionate commando who is ten times smarter, infinitely tougher and as smooth as any political pro in the chambers for that historic speech.

Bibi is charming. He flattered the absentee president (didn't anyone tell him Obama he could just vote 'present'?) he called the Secretary of State his friend, he wished Harry Reid a speedy recovery. "...you can't keep a good man down."  These are the sorts of gestures you will never see with Obama. Because he has always had the deck stacked for him, Obama has never learned the rudiments of politics. He still has training wheels on his bike.

Obama leads with his middle finger. He loves to misstate his opponents' positions because he knows he can get away with it. He is always insulting, always antagonistic. Always. Always. Always. He might not ever pay a political price for his polarization but his party has paid a steep price and could be hobbled for decades to come. Along with Jonathan Gruber and Lois Lerner, Barack Obama will be on the ballot--every ballot--for a long, long time.

Maybe we will have a president like Netanyahu someday. We can dream, can't we?

If This Is True, This Is Big

I am suspicious of this story given that it is being released to coincide with Bibl's visit.

The Bethlehem-based news agency Ma’an has cited a Kuwaiti newspaper report Saturday, that US President Barack Obama thwarted an Israelimilitary attack against Iran's nuclear facilities in 2014 by threatening to shoot down Israeli jets before they could reach their targets in Iran.

Read all of it.

Cameron vs. Obama

The efficacy of Obama's contrived stagecraft will always be puzzling to me. The teleprompter. The robotic cadence. The biting of the lip. The elevation of the nose. The biting of the lip. One gets the impression that if he turns too quickly, the president will expose a wind-up key sticking out of his back.

As I am writing this, David Cameron is addressing his country. I cannot assess his competence but I can tell you that he does not need a teleprompter and he can answer questions spontaneously. I don't know if the questions are of the pre-arranged Chuck Todd variety but I can tell you that Cameron instills confidence. He looks the part of the leader. He speaks with authority. not authoritarianism. Maybe it is all blah blah blah but it is a convincing blah blah blah.

This is deja vu of sorts. I feel something similar when I hear Bebe Netanyahu speak. You get the distinct impression that if he had to, Bebe could point out ISIS's presence on the map. Same with Cameron. I cannot assess the merits of Cameron's strategy but I can tell you that he has a strategy. That is profoundly different from our leader.

2016 cannot come fast enough.

Mr. President: You Can Screw All The People Some Of The Time And You Can Screw Some Of The People All The Time But You Cannot Screw The Jews All The Time

Who could have seen this one coming? As soon as the Dems put their champagne glasses down, Israel is hit with a wave of workplace violence. Or as Howie Carr would say: "Israel celebrates diversity."

I don't know what Obama is thinking (does anyone?) but you just do not push The Tribe into a corner. Benjamin Netanyahu is what Don Corleone would call a serious man. He is dead serious about the welfare of his people. If one of his ambassadors and three other public servants were tortured and murdered, his response would be swift, certain and severe. There would be no youtube horseshit story. There would just be dead terrorists (or dead workplace violence folks.)

Israel might be Obama's undoing. The Mossad has a Barry binder with more pages than Chicago has dead voters. The mainstream media might cover for Obama but the Mossad plays by a different set of rules. They are not to be trifled with.

If Israeli blood continues to spill, fire will rain on Gaza. But that will be nothing compared to the media firestorm that will be unleashed on America. At long last, we might finally learn a thing or two about Barack Obama.
