The "New York Times" Now Infamous Sensationalistic Headline
Trump Campaign Aides Had Repeated Contacts With Russian Intelligence
WASHINGTON — Phone records and intercepted calls show that members of Donald J. Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and other Trump associates had repeated contacts with senior Russian intelligence officials in the year before the election, according to four current and former American officials.
American law enforcement and intelligence agencies intercepted the communications around the same time they were discovering evidence that Russia was trying to disrupt the presidential election by hacking into the Democratic National Committee, three of the officials said. The intelligence agencies then sought to learn whether the Trump campaign was colluding with the Russians on the hacking or other efforts to influence the election.
The officials interviewed in recent weeks said that, so far, they had seen no evidence of such cooperation.
On The Differences Between The Cult Of Leftism And The Coalition Of Not-Leftism

For decades, the battle between Left and Not-Left was presented as a conflict of values. I submit that the division is more fundamental than that. It is not conflicting values, it is incompatible mental processes and as such, there can be no middle ground. Compromise with the Left is not possible.
The best metaphor (and the best allegory too, btw) for the Left vs. Not-Left non-conversation is the OJ Simpson murder trial. We can save the allegory for anther time. What we witnessed was a team of prosecutors who naively believed they would win the case if the facts were on their side and they presented them in a cogent manner. For better or worse, facts lost out to STYLE.
Facts mean nothing to a Leftist jury. The Left embraced post-factualism long before bloggers like yours truly identified the mindset (and long before the label was hijacked by Leftist writers.) A strong, if not airtight, case would be destroyed by noise involving DNA, claims of overt racism, claims of covert racism, claims of institutional racism, claims of legacy racism, and most importantly, a silly-ass rhyme delivered by a master showman. We don't need no stinkin facts.
Those who oppose the Left have found ourselves in Martha Clark's shoes. Our naivete would sometimes lead us to disappointment, if not despair. We cannot win with a Leftist jury. They are unwilling and possibly unable to process facts. They are blinded by celebrity and sentiment, usually misplaced sentiment. They can clear their minds of all else and focus on the romantic narrative of a handsome hero returning to his family. Or for that matter, any other narrative their puppeteers dictate.
Barack Obama's one lasting accomplishment is the destruction of civil discourse. When the media choose to advance something as unfounded and ridiculous as "PUTIN STOLE THE ELECTION FROM HILLARY" they are signalling that they will dutifully sow salt in the grave of civil discourse.
Civilization is premised on civil discourse. When that is crushed, we lose our humanity. Our animal nature takes over. Self-segregation will continue and I, for one, am comfortable with the trend. Like the Los Angeles County Prosecutors, we want to win a fact-based argument. Our opponents want to win a war and they have no sense of honesty, civility or even legality. Their sole objective is to destroy us. It is time we recognize our irreconcilable differences.

Oddly, there seems to be much with which I agree with Alinsky.
Another example is today's high-rise public housing projects. Originally
conceived and carried through as major advances in ridding cities of
slums, they involved the tearing down of rotting, rat-infested tenements,
and the erection of modern apartment buildings. They were acclaimed as
America's refusal to permit its people to live in the dirty shambles of the
slums. It is common knowledge that they have turned into jungles of horror
and now confront us with the problem of how we can either convert or get
rid of them. They have become compounds of double segregation — on the
bases of both economy and race — and a danger for anyone compelled to
live in these projects. A beautiful positive dream has grown into a negative
nightmare.
Give this evil man a perusal.

Blizzards vs Bloggers
They say self-pity makes for bad cinema but does that translate to the blogosphere? Two blizzards plus another minor storm that dumped six inches of snow on my driveway in a span of one week has worn me out. I'll skip over some of the war stories right now. As this is being typed I am mustering the strength (I hope) to shovel the driveway one more time in hopes of getting my car out of the driveway and going to work. I already missed one day this week. Sigh.
Some things just can't wait. I do believe the Left is itching for civil strife, if not a civil war. This blog has not spent a lot of time refuting 9/11 Truthers because the Truthers were promoting the silliest conspiracy theory advanced in my lifetime. Not worth our time.
The 9/11 Truther Conspiracy now surrenders its court jester crown to the Putin Stole The Election Conspiracy. What is different about this fairy tale is that it is being promoted by the mainstream media, Democrat office holders and stalwarts and it is gaining traction with people who are not usually so gullible. I could discredit the semantic tap dancing in minutes but why bother? Lefties only love the truth when the truth is in their favor.
I am not surprised that the ruling class has continued its war against us long after the election. Ballots are for peasants and peasants must not be allowed to get uppity. I am surprised at the puppeteers' success at recruiting thugs and increasing the throngs of true believers. The Left is emboldened and they are ready to strike.
One reason the Left wants civil strife is because they overestimate their strength. They were shocked at the election results because Leftists only talk to Leftists and they were unaware that there were Americans who do not goose step to their drummer. If they want a fifth quarter rumble, they might be sorry what they wished for.
Do not underestimate the irrationality of the Left. These are pyrotechnic Peter Pans. Do not underestimate the danger they pose.
