David Horowitz: Charlottesville Is Fake News

What "Unite the Right" actually demonstrated was that the assortment of neo-Nazis, pro-Confederates, and assorted yahoos gathered under the banner of the "Alt-Right" is actually a negligible group.
This supposed national show of strength actually attracted all of 500 people.
Compare that to the tens of the thousands who can readily be marshaled by two violent groups of the left — Black Lives Matter and Antifa — and you get an idea of how marginal "white supremacists" are to America's political and cultural life.
Yet "white supremacy" and its evils became the centerpiece of all the fake news reporting on the event, including all the ludicrous attacks on the president for not condemning enough a bogeyman the whole nation condemns, and that no one but a risible fringe supports.
Talk about virtue signaling!

I never heard of Lauren Southern before. It amazes me how many free-thinking blogger and v-loggers are out there.

Beyond Fake News: Maddow Blames Venezuelan Riots On Donald Trump

This story could use a few elves and unicorns and dragons and wizards to prop up its credibility. We accept that the Maddows twist the news to their liking but even in the silliest Putin-stole-the-election-from-Hillary falsehood, there are a few basic facts to distort. Here, Maddow resorts to promoting pure and absolute fantasy. It is a stark reminder of just how indifferent to truth the Left shall ever be. Frightening.

Sadly, most Leftists are brain dead zombies who want to be deceived by the likes of Maddow.

The Left's Politicization Of Absolutely Everything

There used to be indoctrination safe spaces. Sporting events, popular music, movies, the weather including day to day climate change to name but a few political-free zones. Times change.

Now, an event as innocuous as Super Bowl champions visiting the White House is politicized by CNN, NYT and as I first heard about this, MSN. Maybe this does not qualify as overt bearing of false witness. Maybe this should be filed under "half-truth." Maybe the echo chamber just honestly got the story wrong.

NAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! Just more fake news.

Understatement? 89% Of Trump News Coverage Is Negative

As President Trump approaches the end of his first 100 days in office, he has received by far the most hostile press treatment of any incoming American president, with the broadcast networks punishing him with coverage that has been 89% negative. The networks largely ignored important national priorities such as jobs and the fight against ISIS, in favor of a news agenda that has been dominated by anti-Trump controversies and which closely matches what would be expected from an opposition party.

Brace Yourself For The Media Counter-Attack

In 2008, Spike Lee appeared on a TV show (was it "Morning Joe"?) to pronounce the significance of Barack Obama's arrival BB: Before Barack. AB: After Barack.

What seemed like brain dead blather would turn out to be strangely prophetic. Barack Obama changed America and not in a positive way. The change Obama promised would be destruction such as we had not thought possible.

Barack Obama's one lasting accomplishment is the extinction of civil discourse. He did this largely by co-opting corrupt and corrupting and further-corruptible news media. Make no doubt about it, these were not Vestal Virgins that were defiled. These were whores with price tags and shrewd agents. Obama paid the tab and to this day, he still weaponizes the press.

The revelations that a sitting president engaged in an ongoing, open-ended surveillance of a political rival based on spurious evidence would--in an era not that long ago--result in shock, outrage and ultimately the turning of the screws of justice. That was Before Barack. After Barack the media loyalists work overtime to spin the scandal in favor of the most corrupt president this country ever produced.

False news is now the norm. We have already addressed the bogus Putin Stole The Election From Hillary narrative. In another era a real reporter like Peter Schweizer would shut their lying mouths:

Bill and Hillary Clinton received large sums of money directly and indirectly from Russian officials while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State. Bill Clinton was paid a cool $500,000 (well above his normal fee) for a speech in Moscow in 2010. Who footed the bill? An investment firm in Moscow called Renaissance Capital, which boasts deep ties to Russian intelligence. The Clinton Foundation itself took money from Russian officials and Putin-connected oligarchs. They also took donations from:

Viktor Vekselberg, a Putin confidant who gave through his company, Renova Group

Andrey Vavilov, a former Russian government official who was Chairman of SuperOx, a research company that was part of the “nuclear Cluster” at the Russian government’s Skolkovo research facility

Elena Baturina, the wife of the former Mayor of Moscow, who apparently gave them money through JSC Inteco, an entity that she controls

Then there is the glaring fact that the Clinton Foundation also scored $145 million in donations from nine shareholders in a Canadian uranium company called Uranium One that was sold to the Russian government in 2010. The deal required the approval of several federal government agencies, including Hillary Clinton’s State Department. The deal allowed Rosatom, the Russian State Nuclear Agency, to buy assets that amounted to 20 percent of American uranium. Rosatom, by the way controls the Russian nuclear arsenal.

Equally troubling: some of those donations were hidden and not disclosed by the Clintons. President Obama required the Clinton Foundation to disclose all contributions as a condition of Hillary Clinton becoming Secretary of State. But that did not happen. The only reason the hidden donations ever came to light is because we uncovered them by combing through Canadian tax records.

Obama has ushered in an era of post-factualism. They tell us that Jeff Sessions perjured himself when clearly he did no such thing.

We are told that Sessions needs to recuse himself from investigating Russian influence and then told that his recusal is an admission of guilt.

We are told that Obama's spying on Trump could only have resulted from probable cause and therefore Trump is guilty of unending criminality.

We are told that President Trump has served up unfounded claims that President Obama spied on him and we click to other sites that lay out detailed timelines for the "investigation."

Many of us thought the Obama-IRS scandal would be a high water mark in a tsunami of corruption. We also thought the Susan Rice Benghazi string of falsehoods might unravel what really went on at that backwater consulate. No and no. We cannot assign all the credit to Anderson Cooper and "The New York Times" but let's hope Barry and Hillary both sent them fruit baskets. The cover-ups could not have happened without you, Coop.

Ya'all ready for some spin? The world might view members of the American news media as overpaid simpletons and lazy fabulists but they will work diligently to defend their overlords. Brace yourself for their counter-attack.

The "New York Times" Now Infamous Sensationalistic Headline

Trump Campaign Aides Had Repeated Contacts With Russian Intelligence

WASHINGTON — Phone records and intercepted calls show that members of Donald J. Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and other Trump associates had repeated contacts with senior Russian intelligence officials in the year before the election, according to four current and former American officials.

American law enforcement and intelligence agencies intercepted the communications around the same time they were discovering evidence that Russia was trying to disrupt the presidential election by hacking into the Democratic National Committee, three of the officials said. The intelligence agencies then sought to learn whether the Trump campaign was colluding with the Russians on the hacking or other efforts to influence the election.

The officials interviewed in recent weeks said that, so far, they had seen no evidence of such cooperation.

The Bad News Is The Clintons Control The Media. The Good News...

Is that most people don't believe the media anymore.

1. Gallup  tracks the ongoing decline of dinosaur media.

2. American journalists no longer gathers news. They filter news and they are proud of their work.
Compare and contrast the roles of MSM with Wikileaks, DC Leaks, Judicial Watch or Anonymous.
Simply put, the new outlets want more news, the old outlets want less news. In "Fahrenheit 451" firemen
are deployed to burn books. A similar irony now exists with journalism. Traditionally, we think of                  reporters as people who tell us something we do not know. In the case of Wikileaks or Judicial Watch,
reporters are dispatched to discredit the purveyors of information. "They have right wing ties." "Russia is
     behind this outbreak of news."
Fiction cannot compete with reality. Arson-engaging firemen is not quite as absurd as news-suppressing
     journalists.

3. The most significant stories are ignored by the American journalism gild even after they are exposed by                others. To list but three:

A.) Russia is preparing its citizens for nuclear war with the US. Comment: To cover this development is to
expose the shortcomings of the Obama Administration and the Clinton State Department.
B.) Voter fraud is widespread. Comment: Wholesale voter fraud is being performed by the Democrats
and in their unending loyalty to the Democratic Party, the media will not touch this.
C.) Starvation and chaos in oil-rich Venezuela. Comment: Covering this story could cloud the pipe dream
           of Bernie Sanders' socialist paradise.

3 suppressed stories. We could probably come up with 300. That's why we have a blogosphere.

4. This point is related to the three above but bears mentioning. Even for domestic news, foreign outlets
provide information American outlets will not touch. The British tabs, "Russia Today", "Al Jazeera",
"Canada Free Press" to name but a few stars that sometimes shine. Thank you, DARPA.

5. Donald Trump has pledged to fight the corporate media establishment. At last! No other
Republican--or anyone else for that matter--has had the gonads to fight this multi-headed monster.
Only Trump has identified big media as enemy and is willing to fight them for us.
    This is Yuge!

"Bob Schieffer Retired." "How Can You Tell?"

Our esteemed Fourth Estate took a break from their seven year siesta to pay tribute to a departing colleague. The chorus of snores will continue without the grating of one their finest somnambulists. Bob, we hope your retirement is as restful as your working life. This yawn is for you.

NY Post Headline: "Deleter Of The Free World"

The Hillary saga has a lot of facets and once more, it is hard to observe without feeling frustrated.

Let me go on record saying that I like Bill Clinton and to a lesser degree, I like Hillary. That is not to say that I would ever vote for either of them or that I approve of deleting evidence or obstructing justice or compromising national security but....Hillary, like the Tea Party, like True The Vote, like Herman Cain, like Sarah Palin, like Ted Cruz, is a victim of corrupt news media who have sworn their allegiance to Barack Hussein Obama.

Even if Obama were a good president (by any measure he is one of the worst, if not the very worst) or a good politician (Nope. He's had every deck stacked for him) or even if he did not display a fungal personality, Barry would still be resented as the recipient of grossly favorable treatment. Barry will always be the teacher's pet. The president is every bit as responsible for the email irregularities as is his secret(ary) of state as his appointee. The classroom smirks as Brilliant Barry is given yet another gold star for dutifully monitoring the news and that sassy pants Hillary is made to stand in the corner.

The Associated Press is filing a FOIA on Hillary's emails. Really? Why now, as opposed to shortly after the Benghazi massacre? Puzzles the mind. Did the AP file a FOIA on Lois Lerner's emails? I don't remember them doing so. I don't remember any dinosaur news agency filing a FOIA on anyone who had anything to do with this administration. The press has had a six year siesta through the Obama years.

The MSM are not defending Hillary. Pile on! Pack journalism is alive and well. There are a lot of ways to read this. Waking up...seeing the light...integrity reborn...But's it's the same ole same ole. Protect the pampered prince at any price.

99.99% of the press are either too enamored with or too intimidated by Barack Obama to ever report anything unfavorable (or as Brian Williams labeled it, "divisive") about The One. Their commitment has not wavered. If that means throwing Hillary under the bus, so be it. Yes They Can!

Once More, The Media Is The Message

I guess the media are the message or the messages. One of the most common English language errors is to use the plural noun media as a singular noun. Occasionally you will get a double plural, "medias" (as well as the less frequent agendas or datas). We can excuse people confusing media as a singular noun because news people are a giant senseless mob. Sad but true.

I will watch the Super Bowl later today. I did not watch most of the regular and post season mostly because I was sick of the news mob interjecting themselves into the story. Spectator sports work because they sell escape. If the know-it-alls treat the events as forums to expound on the virtues of gun control or the evils of domestic violence or the tragedy of head injuries, something is lost. As high minded as these platitudes might be, they certainly destroy the escapist entertainment.

There was a time when sports reporting was the last refuge of good journalism. If you wanted to know who what when where, the sports guys delivered. Hubris set in and the Bob Costas's of the world insisted on being recognized as oracles at large. They would sanction personnel and policies much as their big brothers in news media were doing. It was time we all bowed down to our superiors.

People can talk about left vs right, conservative vs liberal, Tea Party vs Establishment, etc. Still it does seem like it is often the media vs the people. Andy Rooney's summary of the 2004 presidential election will live on in infamy. "Half of the media liked John Kerry. The other half hated George Bush."

I have ignored most of the Deflategate scandal because it does not rise to the level of a real scandal. Indianapolis did not lose by 38 points because footballs were deflated to the degree that they could not even recognize the deflation. And the Patriots outscored the Colts 28-0 in the second half with fully inflated balls. Facts just do not matter any more.

The sports media generated a witch hunt and then experienced a collective Midol moment when the lynch mob was not activated. They are the rightful shapers of public opinion--all opinion--and Tom Brady is the latest Chris Christie. Ultimately, the news mob was thwarted. I would be cheering on the Patriots today even if I did not live in New England. Screw the news mob. Je suis Belichick!

The Media Political Complex

Journalists: If You Can't Beat Them, Buy Them

We can speculate about The Fourth Estate's motives and loyalties and our conclusions can be dismissed as partisanship but two facts scream bias. 1. The Obama Administration has hired a record number of mainstream reporters to work for them. 2. The Obama Administration has employed at least four relatives of high level news people.

Let's examine the second statement first. David Rhoades is the president of CBS News. His brother, Ben Rhoades is a White House national security battle.

Virginia Mosely is a CNN Vice President and Washington Bureau Chief. She is married to Tom Nides, a Deputy Secretary of State in the Obama Administration.

Former White House Press Secretary, Jay Carney, is married to ABC News senior national correspondent, Claire Shipman.

Another president of a network news division, Ben Sherwood of ABC News, is the brother of special adviser to Barack Obama, Dr. Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall.

In the old days, we would call this graft. This behavior might be legal but it is highly unethical. Whatever credibility the Fourth Estate might have had left in its account, it has squandered it in the Obama Administration.

Not quite as egregious is the Obama Administration practice of hiring journalists on a scale never before seen. That practice has a long tradition and I am not of the opinion that reporters should be blackballed but the Obama Administration exceeds with excess.

On May 5, 2009 Ed O'Keefe of 'TheWashington Post” wrote an article on the bumper crop of administration jobs awarded to news people. Eleven lucky recipients not counting David Axelrod, who is a former reporter at “Chicago Tribune.” One of the mentioned was a Bush Administration holdover, Geoff Morrell.

Warren Bass: Former deputy editor of The Post's Sunday Outlook now serves as an adviser and speechwriter for U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice.

Rosa Brooks: The former Los Angeles Times op-ed columnist now advises Michelle Fluornoy at the Defense Department.

The aforementioned Jay Carney: The former TIME Magazine Moscow bureau chief and campaign chronicler (and husband of ABC's Claire Shipman) now serves as communications director for Vice President Biden.

Linda Douglass: Former Congressional correspondent for CBS and ABC and writer/editor at “National Journal” left journalism last year to serve as traveling press secretary for the Obama campaign. She'll help guide the administration's communications efforts during this summer's battle over health care reform, working out of the Department of Health and Human Services and the White House.

Peter Gosselin: The former “Los Angeles Times” reporter now writes speeches for Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner.

David Hoff: The “Education Week” reporter and blogger started yesterday on the communications staff at the Education Department.

Beverley Lumpkin: A former Justice Department reporter/producer for ABC and CBS, she left journalism, worked for the Project on Government Oversight and joined DOJ last month as press secretary, turning sources into colleagues.

Geoff Morrell: A holdover from the Bush administration, the former ABC newsman became spokesman for Defense Secretary Robert Gates in 2007.

Rick Weiss: Former Washington Post science reporter left for the Center for American Progress and now serves as communications director and senior policy strategist for the White House Office of Science and Technology.

Jill Zuckman: The former Washington correspondent for “Chicago Tribune” works with Ray LaHood as communications director at the Department of Transportation.

Dr. Sanjay Gupta: The CNN/CBS reporter and Atlanta-based neurosurgeon threw his hat into the ring for the surgeon general job, but eventually withdrew because of the "timing."

The previously mentioned David Axelrod: President Obama's senior adviser once worked as a Chicago Tribune reporter.

On February 17, 2012 Paul Bedard of the“Washington Examiner” listed 19 reporters and news executives who had gone to work for the Administration. Bedard reported that to be a record number of news people hired by an administration.

Records are made to be broken. On September 12, 2013, Elspeth Reeve reported at The Wire that the Obama Administration had hired its 24th journalist, former “Time” managing editor, Rick Stengel.

The following list is from Reeve's column. We will omit Hoff, Zuckman, Weiss and Douglas.

Douglas Frantz, decades-long media hack at “New York Times” and “Los Angeles Times” went to work for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in 2009. In May, 2012 he went to work as “Washington Post” national security editor. In September, 2013 he was employed by the State Department.

In January 2013 “Boston Globe” online politics editor Glen Johnson went to work for Secretary of State John Kerry as a senior adviser.

Former “The Washington Post” Federal Diary columnist Stephen Barr went to work for the Labor Department as senior managing director of the Office of Public Affairs in February 2012.

Shailagh Murray of“The Washington Post” became the Vice President's communications director in March 2011.

Rosa Brooks of “Los Angeles Times” was counselor to undersecretary of defense Michele Flournoy from April 2009 to July 2011.

Former “The Washington Post” film critic Desson Thomson went to work as a speechwriter for the U.S. Ambassador to UK, Louis Susman.

Roberts Baskin, TV journalist and Cneter for Public Policy administrator went to work at HHS in August 2009 as a senior communications adviser.

Washington Post Outlook section deputy editor Warren Bass was hired by then-UN ambassador Susan Rice as director of speechwriting in 2009.

Former CNN senior political producer Sasha Johnson became a spokesman for Department of Transportation in May 2009. she later became chief of staff for Federal Aviation Administration.

“New York Times” reporter Eric Dash went to work for The Treasury Department's public affairs office in 2012.

MSNBC producer Anthony Reyes also went to work at The Treasury Department's public affairs office in 2012.

Aneesh Raman left CNN to work for Obama's campaign in 2008. He would later be employed as an Obama speechwriter.

CNN national security correpondent Jim Sciutto went to work for U. S. Ambassador to China Gary Locke as chief of staff from 2011 to 2013.

“San Francisco Chronicle” reporter Kelly Zito went to work for the EPA's public affairs office in August 2011.

Samantha Power went from reporter to working for Senator Obama to working for president Obama to ambassador to the United Nations.

Not mentioned in any of the articles listed above are the graduates who went to work in media. Robert Gibbs was hired at MSNBC before founding The Incite Agency. His successor, Jay Carney ended up at CNN. Peter Gosselin went from “Los Angeles Times” to speechwriter for Timothy Geithner to Senior Healthcare Analyst for “Bloomberg Government.”

The miasma of Ted Baxters serving the Obama Administration was rationalized by a poor economy and mainstream media's vanishing audience in both print and electronic media as well as the opportunity to participate in the highly noble mission of creating the most transparent administration in US History (insert laugh track here.) But it does seem in the examples of Gibbs, Gosselin and Carney, that old media has plenty of opportunity for Obama loyalists.

Beck Nails The Government Shutdown Fiasco

I generally shy away from Glenn Beck and Fox News and outlets that already have an audience. But I am doing two Beck posts in one week. This is a wonderful summary of the pain and misery Obama and the Democrats inflicted on innocent people. Still, the press served as the Dems' loyal puppets.

Obama is a bully, a thug and quite possibly, a sociopath.

CAN WE GET THE PRESIDENT ANOTHER NOBEL PRIZE?

Networks Blame GOP For shutdown 41 Times. Dems 0

Republicans never expected to get a fair shake in the Big Three networks' coverage of the 16-day government shutdown, but the final tally of stories blaming the GOP is stunning: 41 stories blamed Republicans and zero blamed Democrats.
Nightly, 20 million Americans heard “a version of the shutdown story that could easily have emanated from Barack Obama's own White House,” said the new report from the Media Research Center.
The report, provided to Secrets, found that a total of 41 stories blamed Republicans for the shutdown. None blamed the Democrats. Another 17 blamed both sides.
In addition, those interviewed by the night news broadcasts by ABC, CBS and NBC whacked the Republicans by a six-to-one ratio, said the report.

Media Monday: Stop The Presses: MSNBC Plays The Race Card!!!

Is there a focus group in the house? We know that Obama loves to play the race card and he plays it by proxy. I contend that the blanket charge of racism for all who might happen to disagree with the president has hurt, not helped, Obama.

Americans don't like to be called racist (especially those who are not racist)and the president's lap dogs love to use that term. But don't they realize how weak Obama looks when they use this tactic? He comes across as the biggest pansy this country has ever produced. "Wahhh. If you point out my unending ineptitude, my butt buddies will call you racist. Wahhhh."

It's bad enough that the brown-lipped media continue their one trick pony routine but it makes the candy-ass-in-chief look even weaker than he would already look. If Mr. Civility wants to call his opponents racists, then he should grow a set and speak his mind. But Mr. Sniveler would never do anything so bold. He will let his bullies (such as they are) do his fighting for him.

Poor baby!

ONE MORE TIME!!!
