This blog has served its purpose nicely but it is, after all, a blog. The golden age of blogging was followed by an era of social media. The social media age has probably crested. Epochs, trends, life cycles, ages and eras grow/blossom/die swiftly in the digital era (or digital epoch. Or digital age.)
I have wanted to do an aggregate site that is unlike any other aggregate site. For reasons innumerable, I reject Twitter as a method of communication. Even when I tweeted on a regular basis, I always asked myself, "Why?"
The premises of social media might be sound but unfortunately, there is a Dorsey or a Zuckerberg or Wojcicki at the top of every ladder, ready to pull the plug on dissidents. Informational warfare is both metaphorical and literal, but it has evolved into more the latter than the former. I can list dozens of people who have been banned, shadow-banned, defunded, and otherwise mistreated by BIG TECH. I do not care to repeat their mistakes.
My hesitation to attempt lofty things with a blog is due in part to the limitations of the blog format and in part to the immense power exercised by the blog hosts. With that said, let me show you an amazing blog listed in our blogroll.

Note: there is a difference between blogger and blogspot but both are owned and operated by Google.
Blogger was founded in 1999 by Pyra Labs and acquired by Google in 2003. By 2006, every account was hosted on Google’s servers, making the platform a lot more reliable.
Blogger or BlogSpot?
Before we go any further, let’s clear up any confusion regarding the terms Blogger and BlogSpot.
Blogger is a free publishing platform, while BlogSpot is a free domain service provider.
They’re both owned by Google and are used together on the Blogger platform.
- Try entering the URL: blogspot.com
- And you’ll end up at this URL: blogger.com
When you create your blog on Blogger, you’ll automatically get a BlogSpot domain. But you don’t have to use the BlogSpot domain; you can also add your custom domain:

A few comments about Doug Powers, directorblue blog. He runs a daily aggregate site with roughly 36 links. For me, it long ago replaced the morning paper. It is my the third or fourth site in my ritual Internet perusal.
Directorblue seems to overcome what I view as limitations of the blog format. Kudos and respect.
I want to differ from directorblue. He follows the designated news cycle and I would like to piper the throngs away from the news designated news menu, the 4 AM talking points.
Directorblue focuses almost entirely or the collective (tribal conservatism) where I would prefer to put more emphasis on the individual and individualism.
Despite his gallant advancement of truth, directorblue is, like Fox News, a sanctioned dissident. Directorblue has avoided the wrath of Google because he avoids a,b,c and d (as well as o,p, _, s, t.) Big tech censorship covers a lot of ground these days. There are topics I would like to refute but even the refutation of taboo topics can get you banned by Big Tech.
Back to this blog's plans. I have delayed starting the new website until I have my ducks in a row. Damn waterfowl just don't choreograph the way they are supposed to. I felt like I was at a crossroads once more. The time had arrived to start the new project but the green light just would not illuminate.
Given that the presidential election is just a month away, I feel that I have to be active with this blog. I want to promote a pro-truth, antimedia perspective while I also attempt to iron out wrinkles with the new project. This blog will be a little bit disjointed at times, but the reader has grown accustomed to that.
