This could get worse than embarrassing.
Walid Shoebat reports that Malik Obama, half-brother to President Barack Obama is quickly becoming a person of interest in Egypt relative to his relationship to the Islamic Da’wa Organization, a Sudanese offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood. Having the president's half-brother on the terrorist watch list is not exactly what the administration needs at this time. This is a little beyond Billy Carter's taking a leak on an airport runway. Shoebat quotes Youm7, an Egyptian privately owned daily newspaper.
This news comes after an Egyptian newspaper claimed Barack Obama was a secret member of the Muslim Brotherhood. It was reported here on an Al Jazeera blog post.
“Dr. Ahmed Nabil Ganzory, in his capacity as lawyer and agent for Dr. Sadik Rauf Obeid, and resident in the United States of America, filed a complaint with Egypt’s Attorney General Hisham Barakat, against Malik Obama, accusing him of supporting terrorism in Egypt and for his involvement in managing the Islamic Da’wa Organization (IDO). The complaint also asks to include Chancellor Tahani Al-Jebali to substantiate claims against Obama…Damn! I wonder if he is on the US no fly list. If so maybe he can hitch a ride on Air Force 1.
Complaint No. 1761 for the year 2013 reported to the Attorney General asked the Egyptian High Court to consider the suspicious activity of a group called the Islamic Da’wa Organization (IDO), which is owned and managed by Malik Obama. This group is now being investigated by international bodies and the attached evidence proves beyond a reasonable doubt that a close link exists between Malik Obama and some of the most notorious characters already wanted for their involvement in terrorism, as is consistent with the pictures and reports attached…
The complaint also asks the court to bring in Malik Obama – a resident of the United States – to be questioned in regards to the terrorist groups in Egypt, whether by inciting or participating with or in any form of support punishable by law. It seeks permission to declare Obama a defendant in his right outside Egypt diplomatically, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In the case of non-appearance and compliance for the investigation, the complainant requests monitoring [Mr. Obama] by including his name on all Egyptian airports and ports, and take the necessary legal steps.” {emphasis ours}

ABC reports same story - 3 later
Not only is the mainstream media corrupt; it is abysmally incompetent. Here Diane Sawyer begins with a current story, a 130 car pile up in England and then moves on to report on a 2010 story of a Chinese traffic jam contemporaneously.

Storm Troopers at Walmart
If you find this picture appalling don't be angry with the workers who are exercising their right to strike. Do not be angry at Walmart for not caving to their demands immediately. The object of your anger should be the municipality that dispatched this brigade of storm trooper to meddle in a private labor dispute and the imbecile chief of police who allows his officer to intimidate innocent strikers.
In bygone days strikes lasted month and sometimes years. The United Mine Workers, the United Automobile Workers, the United Steelworkers, and the Railroad Brotherhoods had it well within their power to inflict damage on the entire economy. Aside from federal mediation services and court injunctions governments, both local and federal, let strikes run their course. That is the way a free county operates.

John Kerry's Mythical Muslim Moderates
John Kerry is lying. There may be a few moderate, pro Western Muslims fighting the Assad regime but the revolution is infested with anti Christian jihadists. Jihadists who have beheaded priests one of which is caught on video. Furthermore when rebel forces speak publicly it is often through a spokesman, one Louay Safi that the US military has cut ties to. Thirteen members of Congress asked the Defense Department to "stop any lecturing by Louay Safi or the Islamic Society of North America, ( ISNA ) affiliated speakers."
Safi used to wok on US military bases, lecturing on Islam until the Fort Hood massacre. He then became the subject of a criminal investigation. The investigation produced a report that has never been made public but the Dallas News has released this summation.
1) On a wiretapped 1995 phone call, Safi and a terrorism suspect mocked a U.S. order that banned dealings with foreign terrorist groups. They also said that Jews controlled the White House. The suspect, a Florida professor named Sami al-Arian, later pleaded guilty to conspiracy. Prosecutors named Safi an unindicted co-conspirator in that case.
2) In early 2002, counter-terrorism agents raided the International Institute of Islamic Thought and related entities in the Washington, D.C., area. Safi was research director for the institute, which funded al-Arian. A man who'd worked for one of the institute's affiliates was later convicted on a terrorism charge.
3) Safi denounced the raids as a "campaign against Islam." That's jihadist rhetoric, experts say. Similar language was later used by Fort Hood killer Nidal Hasan and a radical imam he corresponded with before the massacre. (The imam, Anwar al-Awlaki, once led an ISNA-affiliated mosque outside Washington. He left the U.S. after the FBI questioned him about his dealings with some of the 9/11 hijackers. The government later tied al-Awlaki to other al-Qaeda plots and killed him in Yemen.)
4) In 2004, Safi became a top staffer at ISNA, the nation's largest Muslim group. It was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the government's largest terrorism financing case: the successful 2008 prosecution of Richardson-based Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development.
Safi and his employers were never criminally charged. They have denied wrongdoing and publicly denounced terrorism. U.S. officials from both major parties have consulted ISNA for years, calling it a partner in the fight against extremists. Muslim leaders' mere association with radicals doesn't necessarily signal support for them, intelligence experts say.
This ISNA is the same ISNA that Obama is proud his administration is partnering with.
A little research shows Obama and Valerie Jarrett have twice met with ISNA leaders in spite of the organization's indictment for terrorist funding. ( It's good they didn't have to meet with Rahm Emanuel or David Axelrod as Safi had publicly said the White House was run by Jews). One can bet this cozy relationship won't be mentioned at any of the classified Congressional briefings Kerry and Obama are using, probably in vain, to build support for going to war against Assad. And going to war with Syria is exactly what the resolution that was voted out of the Senate committee Wednesday means, “it is the policy of the United States to change the momentum on the battlefield in Syria.”
Long after we are dead some historian is going to make a big name for himself when he confirms treason in the White House.

Once again Oberlin College looks stupid
In an earlier post I asked
Why Isn't Oberlin College the Laughing Stock of the Country? May I repeat the question? In my first post I pointed out that the liberal, liberal arts college had been duped into thinking it was a hotbed of Klan and Nazi activism. The administration learned early on the source of offensive signs covertly post on campus was two students, one of which was an Obama activist. The administration chose not to reveal this to the student body which continued with inane demonstrations against imaginary hate groups. Caught up in the frenzy, one coed described her sighting of a Klansman which turned out to be another coed wrapped in a blanket.
Now it has come to light that since the 1970's the college has maintained a secret " No trespassing " list. Only the campus cops and the town of Oberlin police department knows who is on the list. Members of the Oberlin community not affiliated with the college describe the college as a gated community.
"I've been on that list for two years, and I couldn't believe what I received in the mail," said Shane Brendes, a 1996 Oberlin College graduate. "I was put on the No Trespass list and banished without knowing what the charge was. How could I defend myself?"
"But I still have not been given an explanation of what I did," he said. "This breaks my heart. . . . I feel like I'm living in the Soviet Union."
Through his attorney Brendes learned that someone was afraid of him but did not learn who the person was or why.
Oberlin resident Miko Israel, who said he is originally from Brooklyn, N.Y., agreed with Brendes and other speakers, saying that although he has not been on the No Trespass list, he has been hounded by campus security officers several times for what he said were no solid reasons and treated as if he were a criminal.
To make matters worse the list was never purged so a person could have easily been on the list for a quarter of a century without ever know he was on the list or why. Imagine being arrested for trespassing at your 25th class reunion.

Almost a year since four Americans were slaughtered in Libya, we still don't know the details of events of that terrible evening. A lot of dots have not connected themselves. What do we know?
We know that there has been a detailed and to date successful cover-up. We cannot pinpoint the president's involvement, lack of involvement, indifference or for that matter, the company he kept as Americans died. We also know that the president and all of his administration lied--there is no other word. Journalists will not use that word but the falsehoods were intentional and unusually sinister--to the world about the motives and nature of the attack. There was no spontaneous mob and the non-existent mob was not motivated by a Youtube video. But the administration lied and repeated the lie every chance they got.
This administration has zero credibility. No administration has lied so frequently or so boldly as The Obama Administration. It might have been different in places like Yugoslavia but in the good old USA, no political body had ever successfully hijacked the national press. Not until Obama came to town. Obama was given a license to deceive and he his administration is emboldened with each passing day. The Benghazi cover-up was a series of lies the media helped advance but we could list dozens of other topics where the news media facilitated the administration's duplicity. Now, they want us to rubber stamp yet another war. I think not.
I for one retain doubt that Assad has used chemical weapons but if he has, it is not a red line. Putin called John Kerry a liar regarding his comments about Al Qaedah. I don't know if Kerry is bearing false witness now but what difference does it make at this point? This administration has lied so habitually that it becomes a waste of time to sort out the nuggets of veracity. Kerry has joined an administration he knows to be rotten to the core. Beware the company you keep.
Putin is blaming the chemical attacks on the Al Qaedah-backed rebels. By any measure, Putin is more truthful than Obama. This administration has exhausted its quota of lies but now we are asked to participate in this wag the dog publicity stunt. I can't believe we are even taking this request seriously.

To be honest, I'm something less than enthusiastic about McConnell but he, unlike Boehner, will not be aiding Obama on the Syrian issue. I don't view Kentucky politics so much in personalities as I do a political metamorphosis from blue to red as the last of the New Deal coalition fades into history. While Obama was winning the last election nationally he lost by 16 points in the Bluegrass state. In the process the Democrats lost one of their two remaining congressman.
Actually, running against McConnell is a high risk proposition. He keeps some pretty savvy operatives on his staff. It's not just losing an election it's more like losing a career. The present Governor, Steve Beshear is the only opponent to lose to McConnell and run for statewide office again. Alison Lundergan Grimes, the daughter of a former Democratic state chairman is a legacy politician who is where she is by virtue of her parentage. And she would rather run against McConnell than Bevin? Gimme a break!

Tech Savvy John McCain Can Listen to Kerry While Playing Games on His iPhone
Maybe you think Senators should pay attention to critical hearings before deciding to send the country to war. Maybe again, you feel it is just plain good manners to listen to boring people such a John Kerry who admittedly does not have eloquence of say, a Joe Biden. Senator John McCain evidently heard all he needed to know at today's Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. To ward off the tedium of listening to Secretary Kerry, McCain whipped out his iPhone for a brisk game of online poker.

DEA has a larger phone database than NSA
AT&T has been very modest about its role in crime fighting. In fact it has never mentioned it but the telecommunications giant has been working hand in glove with the DEA. The company has a database that dates back to 1987. For at least 6 years AT&T has been partnering for a drug free America in a secret program known as the Hemisphere Project. The government pays the company to embed employees in the DEA and although it does not own the actual database it has very rigid control over it. Not only does the DEA investigate drug crimes, it happily shares its information with other agencies including the IRS not to track terrorists but to ensure accurate 1040 forms. Forbes has a good account of that skulduggery.

Nor does AT&T enjoy protection from tort suits that may arise as more be comes known. The DEA has produced a Power Point presentation apparently to train new AT&T employees who have been drafted into the war on drugs. Many of the "success stories" of the DEA are petty criminals with no connection to drug dealing or even drug use as in the example below.
