With that in mind, "The Washington Post" has published an editorial by Mr. Quote Quota himself, George F. Will, entitled, drum roll please...

You can find this if you like. I did not link. Perhaps I should have. Will praises Senator Bob Corker in citing whatever it is he is citing. Praise for Bob Corker is about as rare as opossum feathers these days. These words can only rise in value.

Is Will just another Arianna Huffington, Joe Scarborough, Frank Luntz or Steven Schmidt? Opportunists whose betrayal was all a matter of when, not if? In the case of Will, was there even a betrayal? What values did he ever share with the politically disconnected? What does he have in common with anyone on the wrong side of the Beltway?

This time around, we just might find a way to cope with our abandonment issues.

How The Washington Post Tried to Hack the Election

The myth that Russia tried to turn the election in favor of Trump only survives if you close your eyes tightly and ignore what the mainstream media did, or tried to do, to help Hillary and destroy Trump. Don’t take my word for it, let’s look at what the Washington Post actually published during the week that started on 7 October, 2016, which was the day the Wikileaks dumped the first batch of Podesta emails. Let me give you the overview statistics. During that week the Washington Post published headlines in which Hillary Clinton’s name appeared 57 times. Donald Trump, by contrast, was mentioned 194 times. On the surface it would appear that the Post was part of Trump’s publicity team. But when you look at the actual articles it is quickly apparent that the Post liked Hillary and hated Trump. In other words, there was a steady downpour of negative articles about Trump, which included calling him a racist and a sexist.

In the past six weeks, the Washington Post published two blockbuster stories about the Russian threat that went viral: one on how Russia is behind a massive explosion of “fake news,” the other on how it invaded the U.S. electric grid. Both articles were fundamentally false. Each now bears a humiliating editor’s note grudgingly acknowledging that the core claims of the story were fiction: The first note was posted a full two weeks later to the top of the original article; the other was buried the following day at the bottom.


The second story on the electric grid turned out to be far worse than I realized when I wrote about it on Saturday, when it became clear that there was no “penetration of the U.S. electricity grid” as the Post had claimed. In addition to the editor’s note, the Russia-hacked-our-electric-grid story now has a full-scale retraction in the form of a separate article admitting that “the incident is not linked to any Russian government effort to target or hack the utility” and there may not even have been malware at all on this laptop

The above link is an interesting article featuring information that the Dems have leaked elsewhere. They have stated that they will register ongoing conflict of interest charges against President Trump, whether COI exists or not. Repeat a lie often enough and a Leftist will believe it. Hey, it's already worked with Russian "hacking."


Interesting aside. I do like to tiptoe through the MSM garden from time to time when I can bear the stench of their fertilizer. A trend I have noticed for at least a few years now is that at even the most partisan expressions from Pravda-America invite comments that are oppositional if not insulting. NYT, La Times, USA Today, it does not seem to matter. The commenters are not buying the horse shit.

The above article is a prime example of MSM resistance. The Washington Post, in conjunction with MSN (Microsoft News) brings us article linked above. One would think that with that sort of lineage, the article would attract Leftist commentators. Wrong!

LOL, I miss the Enquirer. They were more honest than the Washington Post. I find the "Batboy" and "Martians give the president the secret to fix the economy" (two recurring Enquirer themes) more believable that what the Post prints.

John Batchelor vs.Donald Trump

I like the diversity of thought as well as the variety of style in fifth estate radio. John Batchelor is pompous and pedantic but I do appreciate his approach. He wants to do high brow conservatism. So there are discussions of things like space travel, the fall of the Neanderthal, dogs, history, Russia, Israel, Islamic terrorism and much, much more.

Batchelor's show is a series of interviews, four segments per hour. Certain guests, Malcolm Hoenlein and Monica Crowley for instance, are awarded more than one segment. Generally speaking the show is informative and fast moving.

The caveat of Batchelor is that he is GOP establishment all the way. He is perhaps the only person in talk radio who can be characterized that way. He was hostile to the Tea Party and even more venomous towards Donald Trump. Earlier in the day, Trump delivered a speech in Detroit that might be a game changer. If Trump stays on message he will likely win the White House.

Last night I listened to one hour of Batchelor's show. In the first hour he hosted Mary Kissel from "Wall Street Journal". WSJ also loathes Trump. It's a job requirement. Per usual she pointed out all the ineptitude of the Trump campaign. She also said Ryan is leading Nehlen by a margin of 80 to 14.  I guess we find out soon enough about that one.

In the second segment Batchelor brought on a "Washington Post" shill to discuss the execution of a recently-executed Iranian spy. No need to link this because it is all over the web and elsewhere. The WAPO hack had two objectives: 1. Exonerate Hillary. 2. Blame the viralization of this story entirely on Donald Trump. Mission accomplished with an assist to the host of the show.

Batchelor then brought on someone to discuss the merits of free trade. The guest expert delivered the day with arguments that only a Sanders-Castro idiot would not be able to understand. Unfortunately, Batchelor framed the entire interview with the "Trump is anti-trade" meme. More than a slight exaggeration as I see it.

Batchelor had a fourth segment where he discussed The Veteran's Administration and just how helpless Donald Trump would be to improve this leviathan. More hot air from Trump.

Yes, I appreciate the diversity of thought and style on fifth estate radio but the cryptic editorializing by the likes of Batchelor is creepy. As with the MSM, it is disingenuous. Listening to them (Batchelor or MSM)  one feels like one has been targeted by flimflam artists intent on selling them driveway pavement of extremely dubious quality. It is at times like this that I appreciate the honesty of the Limbaughs who put their cards on the table and who never try to hide their editorializing.

Not sure how these numbers might change if Comey recommends indictment for perjury stemming from her testimony in front of Congress. Also, should the FBI director recommend indictment for public corruption associated with the Clinton Foundation, the needle might move a bit.

An ABC/WaPo Poll reveals that 56% of Americans support Hillary's indictment vs. 35% support amnesty for Madam Secretary.

It gets worse for Hills and Company. 6 out of 10 Independents want her indicted vs. 9 out of 10 Republicans and even 3 out of 10 Democrats.

Rasmussen released a poll last week with similar results.

Why not bypass the MSM and release your editorials from your own site? That might not be a viable strategem for Harold Pudnik, but you, Governor, are no Harold Pudnik.

I propose that all Republican Party officials, office holders and candidates boycott the mainstream media at least through the 2012 elections. That is, they refrain from speaking with all members of the news media and they no longer advertise in the mainstream media. There was a time just a few years ago when adopting such a strategy would be political suicide. Now, failure to adopt such a strategy is political suicide.

Anyone who has read Bernard Goldberg's “A Slobbering Love Affair” or has viewed “Media Malpractice” or has just paid attention knows that media are stacking the deck for Obama. Even now, roughly 100 days into the Obama Administration, we know more about Joe the Plumber than we do Barack Hussein Obama.

We don't know what Obama wrote as an undergrad. We don't know the identity of hundreds of his donors. We don't know why a Chicago hospital would pay Mrs. Obama over $300k to fulfill the duties of a Diversity Director. We don't know much about Obama's relationship with Ayers and Dohrn and Rezko and Khalidi. We don't know much about ACORN but what we do know is pretty disturbing if you oppose voter fraud. We hear a lot about the collapse of this company or that but we don't hear much about Obama's close associates who played a significant role in the collapse of Fannie Mae.

Can anyone say with a straight face that Sarah Plain and Barack Obama were treated identically by the media? Even after the election they are trying to dig up dirt on Palin's family. Meanwhile, Obama's life is one long puff piece. His titanic budget is barely scrutinized.

To paraphrase Bernard Goldberg, if the referees of the Michigan-Ohio State football game decided that it would make for a better story if Michigan won and they called the game in such a way as to determine the outcome, there would be public outrage. But it would not just be the Ohio State fans who would be angry. The Michigan fans would be furious as well. People know full well that if referees determine the outcome of a football game, you no longer have football. If the referees of democracy determine elections, you no longer democracy.

So how would candidates receive exposure without appearing on “Larry King Live” or “Meet the Press?” Answer: Republicans need to form their own channels of communication on the Internet. Republicans need to move underground. Let the Democrats have the Associated Press fed newspapers. Let them have the alphabet networks, including Fox. If a member of the media elite wishes to speak to you, Mr. GOP candidate, about this or that, refer them to your website.

As an extension to the “no press” policy, GOP voters should boycott, banish or vote against any candidate who purchases newspaper ads or TV spots. Those candidates are cuddling up to the enemy. Worse, they are funding the enemy. Let the seal clubbers buy their own bats.

Of course the websites will have to sparkle. They have to look professional. They will have to be compelling. The mainstream media will not simply close up shop. They will dredge the websites in search of the smallest inaccuracy, the tiniest gaffe, the silliest blunder. They will need to contrast the ways of mere mortals with the ways or their messiah. When the mainstreamers lose their editing powers, they will work more diligently to find damaging material. They will still show images of Republicans on CNN so long as the image is a flattering portrait of a RINO—or an unflattering portrayal of a principled candidate.

To continue on the current course is to throw in the towel. Let us be reminded that the mainstream media did not just fix the presidential election, they fixed both presidential primaries as well. The biggest obstacle to change (Shhh. Obama has that word copyrighted but I want to use it just one time. Don't tell the White House.) would be the Idiot McCains who still think they can charm the news media. Note to all future Idiot McCains: These people are your enemies. They love John McCain now because he lost and lost graciously. He played by their rules even as they stacked the deck against him. They see a beautiful loser. We see a loser.

What would be the impact of a GOP media boycott? The first benefit would be a media event in and of itself. It might, maybe, possibly, force the media to confront their unfettered bias. It might open a dialog about the media coverage in the 2008 election. Maybe the sycophants would suspend their smooching long enough to participate in the dialog. We can dream, can't we?

Ultimately the impact would be financial. This would not be felt right away but by the November, 2010 it would get the accountants' attention. Even the suggestion of a media boycott would elicit tremors at newspapers and TV network affiliates. Station managers will not be heartened to learn that their favorite dupes have now invested in websites, dvd's and old fashioned mass mailings. Network affiliates count on GOP airtime purchases. If that money disappears they will spin excuses about the flat economy and Bush era economics that still hobble the industry. Newspapers are even more vulnerable. As well as the economic fallout from an advertisement boycott, the accompanying publicity will do nothing to upgrade newspaper credibility and might even hasten their timely demise.

The empire will strike back. They will conduct a divide and conquer strategy. “We like you, you Idiot McCain wannabe. Sit with us and we'll make sure you dust off your primary rivals. You are a regular guy and they are unwashed tea baggers. We love you.” But it will be a Faustian deal and Mephistopheles will take payment in November. Mephistopheles might be evil but he is not stupid.

Yes, there will be pitfalls in a media boycott but it must happen if the GOP is to regain any credibility. While the Republicans were farming players, the Democrats were farming referees. 2008 might be the high water mark of the elitist media but it is also the advent of a new style, form and structure of politics. The game will still be played, but it will be played without referees. We will be returning to the sandlots.

In the sandlot game everyone can play. Everyone except the referees.

When this once-great newspaper goes belly up, I for one will shed no tears. It might be fun to remember The Post in her prime and banish from the mind's eye the feces smearing/bed wetting/house fire setting Alzheimers case she has devolved into in her old age. Is Dr. Kevorkian in the house?

Excerpts: "But Obama deserved tougher scrutiny than he got, especially of his undergraduate years, his start in Chicago and his relationship with Antoin "Tony" Rezko, who was convicted this year of influence-peddling in Chicago. The Post did nothing on Obama's acknowledged drug use as a teenager." [The ombudsman could have also mentioned Ayers and Dohrn and ACORN, mysterious campaign contributions and the Fannie Mae debacle.]

More from the Post: "One gaping hole in coverage involved Joe Biden, Obama's running mate. When Gov. Sarah Palin was nominated for vice president, reporters were booking the next flight to Alaska. Some readers thought The Post went over Palin with a fine-tooth comb and neglected Biden. They are right; it was a serious omission."
