Oh, If Only That Gallant George Will Would Come Crawling Back To Us

In the battle between isms and principles, isms usually win. The Trump phenomenon might be as rare as rivers flowing backwards. In this case, Conservatism lost out to conservative principles. The catty Never-Trumpers just cannot get over this horrid indignation.

With that in mind, "The Washington Post" has published an editorial by Mr. Quote Quota himself, George F. Will, entitled, drum roll please...

Vote against the GOP this November

You can find this if you like. I did not link. Perhaps I should have. Will praises Senator Bob Corker in citing whatever it is he is citing. Praise for Bob Corker is about as rare as opossum feathers these days. These words can only rise in value.

Is Will just another Arianna Huffington, Joe Scarborough, Frank Luntz or Steven Schmidt? Opportunists whose betrayal was all a matter of when, not if? In the case of Will, was there even a betrayal? What values did he ever share with the politically disconnected? What does he have in common with anyone on the wrong side of the Beltway?

This time around, we just might find a way to cope with our abandonment issues.
