Barack Obama should be facing impeachment for his use of the IRS to squelch political dissent. Then there is the Beghazi thing and the Fast and Furious thing and things labeled "phony scandals."
The Administration is scared of truth seeing the light of day. They have DOJ and The Senate in their pocket. By the way, this is a departure from the norm. Political parties have not always obstructed justice for party leaders but this is not your father's Democratic Party either. But truth is, Eric Holder and Harry Reid have obstructed justice.
Which brings us to the lower House of Congress. I am not certain that the Chicago Mob hasn't infiltrated the GOP-held Congress. They seem to have corrupted The Supreme Court, so why not the GOP? And let's not even mention the news media.
Assuming the House GOP has not been blackmailed or bought off, it is the only vehicle for finding truth. The thugs might have gotten to Cantor and Boehner but I don't think they have compromised Chaffetz or Jordan or Gowdy. Yet, Congress can't seem to get into gear with any of the "phony scandals." There is always an Obama-induced cog in the wheel. A new war or a new budget crisis. What is going on?
The Administration is confident but scared. Things are great but if the "phony scandals" cannot be swept under the rug, game over. The Administration seems to want to run out the clock. Keep Congress fighting fires and win the House in 2014. Truth will forever be occluded.
We are witnessing the machinations of evil. The slow motion death of America. The slaughter of truth and the mutilation of her ravaged corpse. Hope and change and run out the clock. Is the budget fight just one more tactical conspiracy?

What Happened To All The Phony Scandals?
I know Boehner and Cantor have mounted an Obamacare fight but did they take a dive on Benghazi and the IRS Scandal?
The IRS Scandal is now 144 years old and Congress seems to have lost interest http://taxprof.typepad.com/taxprof_blog/2013/09/the-irs-26.html#more
Benghazi has had its one year anniversary and Congress has nothing to say on the matter? The excuse had been a six week recess but recess is over. What's the excuse now? I remember the tough talk from Jason Chaffetz and others last summer? Where are they now?
I am beginning to wonder if the budget battle is all a diversionary tactic.

Yet Another Phony Scandal? The DEA Mines Data With The Best Of Them
WASHINGTON, Aug 5 (Reuters) - A secretive U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration unit is funneling information from intelligence intercepts, wiretaps, informants and a massive database of telephone records to authorities across the nation to help them launch criminal investigations of Americans.
Although these cases rarely involve national security issues, documents reviewed by Reuters show that law enforcement agents have been directed to conceal how such investigations truly begin - not only from defense lawyers but also sometimes from prosecutors and judges.
The undated documents show that federal agents are trained to "recreate" the investigative trail to effectively cover up where the information originated, a practice that some experts say violates a defendant's Constitutional right to a fair trial. If defendants don't know how an investigation began, they cannot know to ask to review potential sources of exculpatory evidence - information that could reveal entrapment, mistakes or biased witnesses.

The Next Phony Scandal: Extortion 17 or What Happens When The Kooks Have More Credibility Than The Orthodox Media
I predicted that widespread voter fraud would be the next phony scandal. That phony scandal will still have its day, trust me. It has temporarily been pushed aside by Extortion 17.
Insert truckload of disclaimers here. I am not a Michael Savage fan. I do not find him enlightening or entertaining. He prides himself on being a radio guy who grasps the medium better than TV babies could ever hope to understand. From my perspective he is challenged by the theater of the mind and the rudiments of talk radio more than his rivals. However, I do respect Savage for his refusal to buckle under to the jihadists and I respect that he posts beheadings on his website. Someone has to tell it as it is.
Those of us with an insatiable thirst for knowledge and who do not trust the media dogmatists and who find themselves in long commutes will sometimes fall back on talk radio. Given the amount of chatter I listen to, it surprises me how few of the practitioners I respect. Like many, I bite the bullet and when the lesser disliked radio host goes to commercial and I have had met my quota of NPR deception, I listen to Michael Savage.
Michael Savage might be a lousy talk radio host whose values are foreign to me, but he is courageous. He is stubborn. He is determined. He is relentless. Michael Savage is dog shit on the bottom of a perforated sneaker. Just try to get rid of this guy. Good luck.
Michael Savage has trumpeted the suspicious tale of Extortion 17. I was at first dismissive but I took the bait and I visited sites that I respect to get their perspective. I thank Michael Savage for prodding me along.
With other administrations, I would dismiss this subject outright. The Obama Administration is different. Their deception is surpassed by their duplicity. Their duplicity is surpassed by their audacity. Their audacity is surpassed by their malevolence. Their malevolence is surpassed by their ambition. I no longer put anything past these people (Excuse me. I meant to say these folks.) Extortion 17 conspiracies are as plausible as anything advanced by this administration.
To summarize, Extortion 17 was a Taliban ambush on a transport helicopter that killed 38 allies, including 15 members of Seal Team Six. Tomorrow, August 6, 2013 will mark the two year anniversary of this tragedy. Below are two links that raise some disturbing questions about this disaster.

Why I Love The Blogosphere: Day By Day Account Of IRS Scandal
It is a full time job to monitor all the phony scandals emanating from DC. Staying on top of just one scandal is difficult in and of itself. But it can be done, as TaxProfBlog shows us.
I had not heard of TaxProfBlog until this morning. What a grea discovery. Thanks to Glenn Reynolds for the link. CBS could provide this sort of detailed coverage but they do not. ABC could provide this sort of detailed coverage but they do not. Fill in the blank could do this but they do not.
Part of the MSM's sloth could be attributed to ideology and some of it is just well, sloth. The blogospere is as much about hustle as resources or access. TaxProf is proof of that assertion.

Obama Doubles Down On Phony Scandals
I am saying this with the utmost seriousness. With other speakers it can become a parlor game to spot the falsehood. With Barack Obama it is a parlor game to identify the true statement. A needle in a haystack exercise that can be downright laborious.
Right out the gate we can overlook the sitting US Senator who inherited the mess BS.
You saved the auto industry? I disagree.
Took on a broken health care system? Agree. You did take it on. If that is the depth of your claim, we can award one Non-Pinnoccio.
Invested in new technologies to reduce our addiction to foreign oil? Rephrased: You lined the pockets of political contributors and INCREASED our dependence on foreign oil (unless you call killing our access to Canadian oil decreasing our dependence on foreign oil.) The domestic oil industry has slightly decreased our dependence on foreign oil with zero help from you.
The tax code was skewed in favor of the wealthy. BLATANT FALSEHOOD. Tell us what tax burden the top 1% or the top 5% or the top 10% or the top 20% or top 50% shoulder. Each answer is politically incorrect. Each answer contradicts the president's assertion.
"Health care costs are growing at the slowest rate in fifty years." Really? Am I going to take the bait and fact check that statement? I suspect that it is false but I do not have the time or stamina to fact check every drop of a tsunami of duplicity.
"And our deficits are falling at the fastest rate in sixty years." No matter how you cherry pick the statistics, this statement is false.
We are at just 0:58 in the speech and the president has already delivered a Nixon-month of deception.
At 1:42 the recycled slogans are again paraded before us. We took our eye off the ball. "...an endless parade of distractions, political posturing and phony scandals..." Here's the cyanide pill in the pig dung Cracker Jack box. This statement was a taunt. To those of you who are offended by the death of four good Americans and the ridiculous Youtube explanation for the attack and the ongoing cover-up, here is the president's middle finger just millimeters from your nose. If Barack Obama's essence could be reduced to six seconds of monologue, this would be it, folks. This would be it.
This shows Obama's effort to polarize. Our country's ever-deepening divides are orchestrated by the president. The rancor is less a case of evolution and more a case of intelligent design. Our republic has survived a lot but I am not sure it will survive a president who mocks and taunts the populace.
The teleprompter runs for almost another three minutes. Feel free to watch it and have fun spotting the hidden accuracies (if there are any.)
