I get burned.

Now Romney is stating that Bush and Paulson, not Obama, saved us from economic ruin. They did this through TARP. Giant moan of excruciating pain.

I reject the notion that the world and the country was on the brink of permanent economic collapse in 2008. Utter flim-flam! By extension, I reject the idea that Bush and Paulson and everyone who voted for TARP in 2008 saved the world. Pile it higher and deeper.

The Tea Party was launched out of frustration with both parties supporting TARP and other forms of extortion. Is Romney going to return us to the good old days of 2008?

The lesson here is not that Bono coasted on his work from the early 80's or that he suffers from chronic twit syndrome or that he is a Lear Jet Liberal. We already knew those things. The more serious lesson is that Republicans can NEVER, repeat NEVER reach out to the other side. Bush did that throughout his tenure and with each olive branch, the opposition hated him even more. Bush sold out the US taxpayer to accomodate Bono's pet project and poor George can't get a hug from a beautiful person.
