The first item, from the New York Post , Involves two State Department employees who were shot outside a strip club in Venezuela.
Two officials from the US Embassy suffered gunshot wounds early Tuesday during an altercation at a strip club in Venezuela's crime-ridden capital, police and US State Department officials said. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening.Another example of "smart diplomacy" brought to State by Hillary Clinton? With employees like this who needs terrorists? By now most Americans have come to expect Secret Service agents to drink and cavort with strippers and prostitutes in far off lands but the two offenders in this case are under the supervision of John Swiftboat Kerry, who if memory serves me correctly, served in Vietnam.
The circumstances of the shooting were unclear, with conflicting reports over whether it happened inside or outside the Antonella 2012 nightclub.
Police said the two US officials were shot following a brawl inside the club, which is in the basement of a shopping center in the upper-middle-class Chacao neighborhood. A woman who works at the club said the two men got into a fight with each other.
The second item is genuinely disturbing and creepy. The worrisome case of Ibragim Todashev once again calls into question the veracity of the FBI. The FBI has not always been truthful and forthcoming. The shooting of Vicki Weaver at Ruby Ridge while she was holding her infant was wanton killing if not technically murder. The FBI has been corrupted by organized crime as in the case of James "Whitey" Bulger. Without getting into the details of the case suffice it to say government informants were identified and then allegedly rubbed out by Bulger and his cohorts. Innocent men were allowed to be framed for murders committed by Bulger's gang.
If the FBI is innocent of any wrong doing in the Ibragim Todashev case it has a strange way of making that argument. First it was reported that Todashev was one the verge of confessing to and implicating Tamerlan Tsarnaev in a triple homicide when he "exploded and leapt at" the agents and was shot to death. Another version says he was armed with a sword although I suppose one could explode and leap with a sword. The autopsy report has been sealed until the follow up investigation has been completed but the family, which did get the body, claims Todashev had been shot 7 times! One thing is certain. The FBI made several conflicting statements surrounding the shooting and has since remained silent citing the "ongoing investigation" bullshit that has been drug out from Fast and Furious to Benghazi, from IRS targeting to the AP phone records seizure. It's always an ongoing investigation right up until it looks like a felony and in this case it may well be felony murder.
