Another Curve Ball: Joel Gilbert Interviews Malik Obama

Truth does not always arrive in an EZ-open container. In an era of media somnambulance it seems we are always fumbling through the kitchen drawer in search of a functioning can opener.

Recently this blog reported on the discrediting of Obama biographer Joel Gilbert.

An internal search for "Malik Obama" will bring up five previous posts as well as this one. Malik Obama has made appearances on terrorist watch lists and his non-profit agency was fast-tracked at the IRS with an assist from living legend Lois Lerner. It has been rumored that less than six degrees connect Malik Obama to the self-radicalized lone nut purveyors of workplace disorder, Zhokar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

Chlorine is toxic and sodium is deadly. Merged in a compound these elements form an essential nutrient. In this salty interview, Malik Obama reveals a half-brother is who is cold, impersonal and a pinchfist with his own dimes. Maybe we shouldn't close the book on Gilbert just yet.

Book Review: "Do As I Say (Not As I Do): Profiles In Liberal Hypocrisy by Peter Schweizer

This guy hits a nerve with the reactionary Left. I plead fair use to lift this copyrighted review from "Publishers Weekly" via Amazon.

Note the Left gets quotation marks. Is that because it is a fictitious entity? And the summary statement that this appeals to ad hominem blogggers. Should I take that statement personally? If this annoys "Publishers Weekly" it can't be all bad. 

And the 78 1-star reviews from Occupy Amazon is yet another ringing endorsement.

Working with a broadly inclusive pantheon of "the Left" that places Ralph Nader and Barbra Streisand on equal footing with Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton, Schweizer (The Bushes: Portrait of a Dynasty) suggests that liberalism's heroes conduct their lives in ways that prove their philosophy to be "ultimately self-defeating, self-destructive, and unworkable." While acknowledging that conservatives can be high-profile hypocrites as well, Schweizer employs a double standard, arguing that "when conservatives betray their publicly stated principles, they harm only themselves and their families," but when liberals misbehave, they harm their principles first and foremost. Sometimes his research uncovers significant contradictions, as when Schweizer points out that Noam Chomsky, who tends to demonize the military establishment, wrote his first book, Syntactic Structures, with grants from the U.S. Army, the Air Force and the Office of Naval Research. But many of his charges are egregiously hyperbolic, as when he suggests that Cornel West is a "segregationist" because he bought a home in a largely Caucasian suburb. Schweizer clearly knows the limitations of his argument, since he backpedals from many of his most damning statements in his closing remarks. For all its revelations, in the end, this volume reads less like a critique of liberal philosophy than a catalogue of ammunition for ad hominem bloggers. (Oct. 25) 

Even if you are in tune and disgusted with the anti-gun crusaders who employ private armies, jet-setting green warriors, Warren Buffets and Barack Obamas advocating for increased taxes because they pay taxes at a lower rate than their secretaries and then doing back flips to assure that they pay taxes at a lower rate than their secretaries, this book will open your eyes. 

Ralph Nader and Michael Moore have succeeded in creating public personas that could not differ more from their high on the hog lifestyles. Green advocate Barbra Streisand goes shopping in an RV because she will not use a store--even an upscale store--restroom. The Kennedys have more oil than J R Ewing...If you love ad hominem attacks, this book is full of them. 

"Do As I Say..." is an ad hominem-loving blogger's dream. Written in 2006, it is still valid and fresh. 

I can't wait to read "Clinton Cash...." which will come out May 5. In the meantime, there are plenty of ad hominem attacks to warm the soul. Peter Schweizer is great.

Assessing Societal Damage Inflicted By Cheesy Propaganda Emanating From "Dragnet" and "Law And Order"

Remember the "Dragnet" episode where the baby drowns in the bath tub because the parents are high on marijuana? Young people will watch this episode and ask, "Is this a comedy?'

No, it was not a comedy. It was hard hitting, realistic drama brought to the small screen. This wasn't your father's favorite western. Oh no, this was real life.

There were other episodes where drug users were just as clownish. No, the series doesn't hold up very well, as least not for dramatic effect or edification. "Dragnet" reruns are unintentionally campy (if that is not a contradiction in terms.)  Yet, drug laws were made by people whose only knowledge of the subject came from Jack Webb.

I remember reading a poignant essay in the 1970's about the drip drip drip impact of "Dragnet." It was a cautionary tale about propaganda. Sadly, "Dragnet" had a huge cultural impact despite its silliness.

The second run of "Dragnet" only lasted four years (An earlier version of the show ran for eight years but it was light on social and political commentary.) "Law And Order" ran for 20 seasons, is perhaps the most popular rerun in history and spun off four other series: "Law And Order: Special Victims Unit", "Law And Order: Criminal Intent", "Law And Order: Trail By Jury", and "Law And Order: LA" Depending on the standard used, it is perhaps the most successful TV show in history.

To say I watched "Law And Order" is like saying I watched the weather. Sadly, someone close to me loved the show. I had a job where I supervised the people who supervised group homes and staffed apartments for an array of serviced populations. I would show up to check the books and receipts and "Law and Order" was often (seemed like always)  playing in the background. It was popular with both resident and staff alike.

I would later work at a small mental health/detox establishment. One of the most popular shows was, drum rolls please..."Law And Order..." in all of its many variations. Staff made two "rule of thumb" observations about viewers of "Law and Order". One, viewers of the show usually viewed the show to the exclusion of all other shows (and it was seemingly rerun ALL OF THE TIME.) Two, clients who preferred to watch "Law And Order" usually did not do well in treatment. Make of that what you will.

There has probably never been a TV show with the broad appeal of "Law And Order." Critics loved it and it was viewed by artists and intellectuals as well as folks on the left side of the Bell Curve.

I am perhaps the only person I know who dislikes "Law and Order". It is cheesy, formulaic, stupid, and predictable. The stories are "ripped from the headlines." I am not big on wise ass government agents and I will skip over the pain inflicted by Ice-T, an actor challenged not just by the English language, but by language itself. More insidious than the steady stream of hokum is the overt propaganda and its damaging effects on society.

Good vs. Evil is a hibernating formula as Authority vs. Evil carries the day. There but by the grace of Munch go I. The lead characters threaten and intimidate innocent people. They bring charges against people knowing the charges won't stick because they are not guilty of said charges and this is advanced as the morally correct course of action.

"Law And Order" aggressively promotes a politically correct agenda. PC slaps you in the face, PC over the head, PC up the nose, and PC down the throat. Consensual is consensual but don't you feel a little bit violated after watching that show?

One of the first times I saw "Law And Order" was in 1992. From IMDB: A teenage drug addict claims that a nun molested her at a treatment house, but the investigation leads an accusation of rape involving the chief executive of the facility.

Because other women fled the shelter and met with untimely deaths, they decided to pursue murder charges against the chief executive. It was almost a commercial for the welfare state. Without treatment on demand, shelters and whatever else we feel like funding, women will die of AIDS and drugs and the hazards of the street. In other words, if you take a NIMBY approach to addiction treatment, there is blood on your hands as well. Worse yet, it was presented as noble and forthright and caring to bring homicide charges against the rapist for frightening the poor women enough to exit his shelter.

This isn't a scholarly study so maybe my observations are skewed. However, it did seem like rich white men accounted for most of New York's crime and it seemed like if it was mentioned that a character was Christian, he was up to no good. Gay men are often the victims of hate crimes and gay witnesses fear discrimination should they testify. In one episode a young gay man is murdered and his father, a Jerry Falwell prototype, is woefully insensitive to his son's demise.

One of the spin-offs, "Law And Order: Special Victims Unit" seems to have but one theme that is repeated over and over and over: Privileged white kids get away with sexual assault because of their wealth and status. Which brings us to current events:

Quoting "New York Times" via Ann Coulter concerning the discredited University of Virginia gang rape story: "The New York Times' Charles Blow wrote a column on the CJR report, suggesting that although this "one particular case" of a fraternity gang rape had been "shown to have flaws," the "overall condition that it illustrated holds true." 

How does Mr. Blow know about the overall condition so well?  I cannot prove it but I suspect it's the drip drip drip of "Law And Order." I bet Mr. Blow has watched many an episode of that celebrated show. I bet too, the editors of "Rolling Stone" are fans of the show including Sabrina Erdely. For that matter, the esteemed members of "Columbia Journalism Review" have probably watched the show and its spin-offs many, many times.

Let's recall once more the false rape accusations leveled against the Duke lacrosse team in 2006. Briefly, the prosecutor would be disbarred, the accuser would be convicted of murder, the lacrosse coach would get fired, players would be publicly shamed and would strike back with lawsuits against the school and city...

And yet, students and faculty and media were convinced of the lacrosse players' guilt. Why? The drip drip drip of "Law And Order"? 

In assessing the probability of a woman being raped on a college campus, people who should know better--government officials--greatly overstate the frequency of the crime.  Once more, "New York Times" via Ann Coulter: 

"Always the last to know, Blow also defended Obama's nonsense claim that 1 in 5 college women will be raped by citing a Washington Post "Fact Checker" from May 1, 2014, which merely called the figure "problematic" -- a resounding confirmation of the statistic, as far as Blow was concerned. 


Unfortunately for Blow, about six months after the Post's fact check, that rating got downgraded to "utter B.S.," when Eric Holder's Justice Department released a study of nearly the past decade of crime statistics, finding that 0.61 percent of college students are victims of sexual assault, not 20 percent. That makes it .03 in 5, not 1 in 5. "

How do people like Charles Blow and Barack Obama miss so badly? By a factor of 33!!! I suspect they watch "Law And Order"

In Praise Of Jack Cashill and "American Thinker"

With Thomas Sowell and a handful of other columnists or videographers,  I don't often link to them because the temptation is to link to every word they utter. If Sowell were a baseball player his bating average would be about 800. His greatest hits album would be his bibliography. He is that consistent.

Jack Cashill and "American Thinker" are consistently challenging mainstream attitudes and mental habits that do not involve thought. As such, I rarely link to "AT." It's required reading.

The identity of Barack Obama is the next generation version of the JFK assassination. A riddle wrapped inside a mystery...and Jack Cashill is Robert Blakey.

The Left's Index is huge. They won't touch unsanctioned authors and they especially avoid books about Obama's identity (what do they read?) OTOH people like Cashill read Remnick, Marannis, Obama and Ayers.

In going out of his way to establish his blackness, Obama is more concerned with advancing resentment than resolving potential racial strife (Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Henry Louis Gates;) His black identity has been cultivated as shown by his not knowing how to pronounce W. E. B. Du Bois's name. Cashill suggests that Obama was tutored in his black anger by that Masai warrior who goes by the name of William Ayers.

Will Hillary Run On Or Away From Obama's Record?

President Hillary seems anything but inevitable. Even the Dems love to bash The Hildabeast. I for one have sympathy for Hillary and for most Democrats.

Like it or not, Barack Obama will be on the ballot for a long time to come. So too, will his minions: Jonathan Gruber, Lois Lerner, Marie Harf to name a few. Obama's record, his achievements if you will, has never been popular. The president won reelection in 2012 by herding millions of blissful idiots whose depth of understanding was "Obama good. Romney bad." The idiots disliked Obama's policies even though they were unable to relate them to Obama. At times, Obama ran against his own record. Change had come to America.

Hillary does not have the idiot appeal Barack Obama has. No one does. Celebrities will not call her, "Lord God and Savior." She will have to face the music on Isis, Yemen, Benghazi, a Middle East and Africa that have grown less stable under her watch. Unlike the Pampered One, she won't be allowed to run away from her past.

Should she sell her State Department tenure to a nation of short-memory voters, Hillary will then have to comment on Obama's domestic policies. The ACA, tepid growth, and colossal debts (with nothing to show for them) illegal immigration, civil unrest and the pervasive atmosphere of discord that only an Alinsky-soaked community could orchestrate...will Hillary stand with Obama on these landmarks? Maybe she will blame Bush.

If they don't shoot themselves in their many feet planted in their many mouths, the millipede GOP will win the White House. It is theirs to win and lose. Barack Obama casts a long shadow and unfortunately for Hillary she is but one more damaged collateral. Shifting metaphor, Hillary and all other Democrats have been dealt a terrible hand but there is still hope the Republicans will discard a winner. In other words, it will probably be a close election.

Treat an Obama worshiper like a crackhead. Tell them you love them and care about them but until they can curb their idolatry and the willful self-delusion that accompanies cultism, you cannot associate with them. Holidays will be less stressful without the blanket charges of racism leveled against infidels.

If they can put down the Kool-Aid, welcome them back with open arms. You might introduce them to Judeo-Christian principles even if you are not particularly religious. Theological beliefs inoculate a person against manipulative leaders and The First Commandment serves as mosquito repellent to protect even the most succulent cult bait.

But what if I have Obamacists in my family? Get a new family. It will be worth the effort. Would you allow a practicing heroin addict in your home, even if he was once a loving brother?

A heroin addict will empty your bank book and max out your credit cards but they are not as spiritually draining as Obamacists. There is a refreshing honesty present in all junkies. They want to get high and they will do whatever it takes to get there. There is no pretense of enlightenment or better taste or superior judgment. They are never smug. Whatever else might be said about Opioid-Americans, they will not pass legislation in secret that raises your insurance premiums and restricts your choices in health care and forces you to pay for things you find immoral, repulsive and inhumane. Their evil has limits.

There is a part of the cultist's psyche that says, “Wait a second. Hold on a minute. Don't go to Jonestown.” The cultist must train himself to silence that voice. Theirs is a path of deliberate self-delusion. It is self-delusion as a chosen lifestyle. It is maintaining this constant self-delusion that allows for religious bliss, a bliss he has never known. The delusion that the community organizer is a god incarnate must be constantly reinforced. Doubt must be silenced. We must awaken the Doubting Thomas in our cult bait brothers and sisters. If they hit the Saint Thomas snooze button, let them slumber without us.

From Sarah Palin to Larry Sinclair, from Dr. Ben Carson to Wayne Alan Root, from James Rosen to Sharyl Attkisson, we witness bad things happen to those who mock the cult leader. Bad actions for a good cause is a credo that is embraced from top to bottom in Jonestown. Does that evil lurk in the hearts of every Obama worshiper? Maybe not. But why take chances?

If you shun a practicing Obamacist, do tell them you like them, even though you are cutting them out of your life. They live in a world where like and dislike are paramount. It is safe to say that social approval means more to them than it does to you.

I used to dismiss outright the conspiracy sub-theories that stated that Barack Obama would not leave office after his second term as president. He would inflict some sort of emergency, some sort of pandemonium, that would allow him to temporarily suspend the electoral process. I no longer dismiss those ideas.

Barack Obama is addicted to adulation and luxury (Dick Morris circa 2008 stated that the perks of the presidency are worth about $50 million/year. Barack Obama likes to live large and his extravagant lifestyle has certainly exceeded Morris's estimate). He also loves chaos. That cannot be underestimated.

Please remember too, that President Obama's stranglehold on the Department of Justice has successfully impeded criminal investigations that might implicate high level officials. Chief among these is the widespread, ongoing abuses of the Internal Revenue Service. Faulty hard drives and foggy memories will not stop a determined attorney general who believes in the rule of law and the premise of justice. Our president's third term might extend until such time that the statutes of limitation prevail.

If asked to do so, Obama's followers would drink cyanide for him. They poured out in 2012 to re-elect one of the worst incumbents in American History, a man they love deeply and know superficially. They gave their time and money and votes to their deity and they will support him again and again and again. We are in Jonestown now.

Deprogramming is coercive and we cannot deprogram tens of millions of people. We must treat Barack Obama with kindness and respect but we must humanize him. If we could politely lead him to the deck of the Battleship Missouri and humbly request that he renounce his divinity to his countrymen....it ain't gonna happen!

Therefore, we must take it upon ourselves to humanize Barack Obama. Treat him with respect and kindness but finally, finally, finally let us discover who this man really is. Does he really have the highest IQ of any president? Then what is his IQ? What classes did he take as an undergraduate? Who were his professors? Did he write any papers? Why was he invisible at Columbia? Who financed his education? Why in the world would his family introduce a formidable teenager to Frank Marshall Davis? There are about a million loose ends here.

We are not in Kansas, we are in Jonestown. Reciting, “There is no place like home,” is not going to get us anywhere. The cult leader must be humanized once and for all. The wizard is not the man and the man is not the wizard. We must expose the abracadabra. Some will loyally divert their eyes but we must stand resolute. Only when the wizard is humanized will our country heal.

We must ask the question: Who is Barack Obama?
