Will Ryan Win His Primary?
We reported on a suspicious poll that had Paul Nehlen closing in on Paul Ryan. This poll
from AMP Calypso had Nehlen up 5.
I can't vouch for AMP Calypso but let's face it, Ryan seems more like a weasel with each passing day. His reputation has taken a series of self-inflicted hits. He ain't what he used to be.

WisconsinWatchdog.org Covers Cheese State Thugocracy In Detail
I love the blogosphere. News that would get swept under a massive rug yesterday is now illuminated.
To date WisconsinWatchdog.org has filed 197 reports on John Chisholm's reign of terror.
I don't know M. D. Kittle but he is one persistent journalist. Check it out.

Thugocracy In The Cheese State
THEY CAME WITH A BATTERING RAM.” Cindy Archer, one of the lead architects of Wisconsin’s Act 10 — also called the “Wisconsin Budget Repair Bill,” it limited public-employee benefits and altered collective-bargaining rules for public-employee unions — was jolted awake by yelling, loud pounding at the door, and her dogs’ frantic barking. The entire house — the windows and walls — was shaking. She looked outside to see up to a dozen police officers, yelling to open the door. They were carrying a battering ram. She wasn’t dressed, but she started to run toward the door, her body in full view of the police. Some yelled at her to grab some clothes, others yelled for her to open the door.

Wisconsin's John Doe Investigation
If the GOP does not retaliate in kind, we can go ahead and shroud them.
The news is full of references to an ongoing John Doe investigation concerning the activities of persons connected to Gov. Scott Walker while he served as Milwaukee County executive. John Doe, in this context, does not refer to a person; it is a legal proceeding.
The John Doe proceeding is an institution sanctioned by long usage since Wisconsin’s territorial days.1 The provisions of Wis. Stat. section 968.26 currently define the scope of a John Doe proceeding in Wisconsin, which is intended as an independent, investigatory tool to ascertain whether a crime has been committed and if so, by whom.

Mr. O'Keefe says he received his subpoena in early October. He adds that at least three of the targets had their homes raided at dawn, with law-enforcement officers turning over belongings to seize computers and files.
Mr. O'Keefe and other sources say they don't know the genesis of the probe, and Mr. Schmitz declined comment. The first public reference appeared in an October 21 blog post by Daniel Bice of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Mr. Bice is well known for his Democratic sources.

Walker Supporters Subpoenaed And Harrassed
In the wake of the recall and Walker’s further efforts to cut state spending and balance the state’s budget, unions and Democrats are still angry and are now using a special prosecutor to target and harass many of the larger supporters of Scott Walker. The special prosecutor was appointed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office.
Francis Schmitz, a special prosecutor has been issuing subpoenas against at least 29 conservative groups that supported Walker. The subpoenas demand all emails, memoranda, correspondence and communications that could be connected to the recall campaign of Walker. One of the subpoenas demands all information pertaining to the recall campaign including a complete donor list.

Kenosha, Wisconsisn Teachers Decertify Union
Teachers in Kenosha, Wisconsin have voted to decertify their union, putting a halt to the organization's ability to bargain with the state on behalf of educators.
Kenosha teachers took advantage of the opportunity to jettison the union after Governor Scott Walker's successful implementation of Act 10, a law that limits what unions can bargain for on behalf of members.

Wild Card Wednesday: Paul Krugman Fan Gets Laughed Out Of The Room
This is pure gold. Who does not believe in the dummying down of America? Public education does little more than indoctrinate. Our higher education system, once the envy of the world, has become a vast network of propagation. Things like facts and truth and verifiability just don't matter anymore.
But then our faith in the average person is restored with this video. These are just run of the mill cheeseheads. Wisconsinites who are appallingly average in appearance. Is there anything distinctive about these people? Anything at all?
But then, a speaker from the floor drops the name of Paul Krugman and the house breaks out in a fit of spontaneous laughter. They know of Krugman and they instantly express their opinion of him. We don't see the speaker but his voice suggests that he is taken aback by the crowd's reaction.
If you brought up say, John Kenneth Galbraith, at a town hall meeting in 1968, you would draw a lot of blank stares. Times have changed. In some ways, they have changed for the better.
