My Email To Sam Vaknin Concerning Obama Surrendering The Reins Of Power

Now that it is established that Obama is taunting and poking Russia in the run up to a close election that could spell personal disaster should his party's candidate loses, it might be good to re-examine the personality of a man who would treat the fate of the world in such a frivolous manner.

We explored the personality of BHO before.  Leading up to that article, this writer contacted Sam Vaknin, a professed narcissist who writes and lectures extensively on the subject. I did ask permission from Mr. Vaknin to publish his response but I do not think he would mind, either.

November 2, 2014:

Mr. Vaknin:

I blog at http://obotomy.blogspot.com/ Post Obotomy Syndrome. I have embedded your Youtube videos on occasion and I appreciate your insights into malignant narcissism.

Conspiracy-inclined people tell me that Obama will not leave office at the end of two terms. They believe that he will either illegally clutch and hold the reins of power or he will initiate chaos in the form of war or terrorism or possibly even start a civil war.

I used to dismiss these fears but I no longer do so. A man who cultivates his own deification has a sense of grandeur few of us can understand. This man's addiction to adulation is frightening. When a crisis emerges, he performs fundraisers or pep rallies. He cannot even briefly give up the adoring crowds, the flash bulbs, the attention.

Also concerning is Barack Obama's possible inability to separate fantasy and reality. To lie and deceive on such a constant basis when he knows his lies will be discovered suggests something other than a moral shortcoming. Does he believe that his speech creates and defines reality?

You said there is danger when a malignant narcissist's internal world collides with reality. Do you see a soft landing for America? Do you see a routine transfer of power and an ex-president satisfied with his scaled down status? I respect your opinion on these matters.

Mr. Vaknin responded the same day. I am hihglighting Mr. Vaknin's comments and I am printing the email verbatim with all its many links.

Thank you for your kind words, William!Above all else, narcissists are cowards. No risk of Obama clinging to power. The risk to rewrd ratio is too daunting.

Obama In A Word Revisited

OK, so Obama In A Word is not playing out to be this decade's Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon but it is still challenging and thought-provoking. In my initial post on this subject I stated that "narcissist" best described our 44th president. This snap judgment came on the heels of SOTU and the announcement that he would take his proposals on the road to sycophantic fans but first the president would meet with YouTube stars in a desperate effort to keep the spotlight on himself. We had not seen a lot of our president since he went to Vegas to "sell" his executive orders on immigration to a city that hosted the Latin Grammies. See a pattern here?

In a prior post http://obotomy.blogspot.com/2014/11/revisiting-personality-of-barack-obama.html I stated that the one word that describes Barack Obama is "grandiose." I would like to reassert that choice is the best one word description. Yes, BHO is narcissistic but his grandeur is the father of his narcissism. We would all be better off if he were just an empty suit. Unfortunately, the grandeur is at work even when the cameras are pointed elsewhere. I don't recall who said that a man who believes his own bullshit is a dangerous man but I have to endorse that crudely-stated aphorism. Barry Soetoro has created an all-powerful persona and that persona believes in his own divinity with every breath he takes.

In summary, "grandiose" describes Barack Obama more thoroughly than "narcissistic." I felt the need to clarify my contradiction without sounding like one of those blowhards who falls back on quoting himself. Speaking of which, did anyone else endure the SOTU all the way to its conclusion? How do you wrap up a rambling pile of nonsense and insults and self-praise? You quote someone famous if not infamous. Who did Barack Obama select for this epiiog? Himself of course! Shakespeare, Aristotle, Lincoln, Jesus...Nix! The president quoted Barack Obama.

Grandiose or narcissistic? Grandeur or narcissism? Stuffed suit or empty suit? These are the sorts of questions that will follow Barack Obama into history.

Narcissism Part I

OK, we are posting out of order here but the material is mostly non-sequential in nature. You don't miss much by watching Vaknin's videos out of order.
I wish a non-Larouchian had broken this story but I will take truth where I can find it.

I am not particularly pleased that Lyndon Larouche has found acceptance in Eastern Europe. David Duke is also a rock star over there. I thought these were chess-playing geniuses whose brilliance was hidden from the world by the Great Red Cloak.

The comments at Youtube are interesting. I can't get enough of this stuff.

I made the Chauncey Gardner comparison first. http://obotomy.blogspot.com/2010/01/too-early-for-shrouding-but.html. Can't blame anyone for plagiarism though. According to the stats, no one read the original post anyway.

Vaknin claims to have watched over one thousand hours of Obama (Better man than I) and to have deeply studied his actions. He seems to have nailed his personality in all of its chilling detail.

The Return of Sam Vaknin

Well, I guess Obama won't get the Larouchian vote.

Am I in "The Twilight Zone?" This is heavy stuff and in my opinion, highly credible. Yet, it gets fewer than 10 views/day on Youtube. Please take the time to watch this video.

Retro Thursday: Israel Talk Radio Analyzes Barack Hussein Obama

I was going to post this on Tuesday but Blogger posted it on Sunday. Can't put the toothpaste back in the tube, can we now?

In fairness, the narcissism rap is tough for any politician to defend against. One Youtube commenter said "this describes every politician." To some degree, this commenter is correct. One thinks of Bill Clinton's troubled childhood and his ultimate adult personality. Or Ronald Reagan who became an actor for crying out loud and a man who readily admitted to hamming the spotlight. So perhaps, it's just a matter of degree?

I don't think it's just a matter of degree. From the onset of his campaign, Obama packaged and sold transcendentalism. From the fainting spectators to the "Obama Halo" to the goofball mantra of "Hope and Change," and dozens of points in between, it became evident that this guy had a sense of grandeur and his supporters were largely cult bait.

Obama would confirm his unusual narcissism with each passing day of his presidency. There were a few brave souls in the audience who pointed out that the emperor wore some silly ass threads. Vaknin was one of them.
