This is a good documentary. I give more credibility to Schiff and Walker than to Celente. And I believe derivatives are at best, a triviality in the downturn of 2008 (I never endorsed the term 'meltdown.')
Everyone except the Kool-Aid Kids know a day of reckoning is coming. I am sorry to say that I am not as prepared as I should be but then again I have less to lose than a lot of people--like pensioners for instance.

The Left's Aversion To Debate
This is classic. Leftists hate to exchange ideas. They hate discourse. They would rather silence dissent by shouting them down or in this case, cutting one's microphone.
We have to dispense with the idea that leftists are just like us, they just propose different solutions to problems. The problem is that Leftists are inherently authoritarian. They are bullies. They are thugs. They are cowards. Facts scare them. Truth scares them. Truth-tellers will not be tolerated.

I could post dozens, even hundreds of videos of Peter Schiff. He is a lonely voice of truth. Like all great teachers, he emphasizes the WHY. He can justify his predictions in the realm of empiricism. Peter Schiff is a hero.
In typical leftist/Aliknsky fashion, Youtube sites have popped up that diricule the man. They ridicule but they never, ever refute. That is not in their repertoire.

Peter Schiff vs. Dick Morris
Should America survive the next four years--and I am not certain our country will remain intact--the dominant political discourse will be social conservatism vs. fiscal conservatism. Liberalism as it has traditionally been defined, is a vanished species. Ficsal vs. social.
This is a harbinger. A portent. Coming attractions. This ain't Foxnews and this ain't Sean Hannity giving his favored guests a Lewinski. Dick Morris gets asked a few tough questions and he turns tail and runs like a pansy.
A lot of us have played along with the Morrises because Obama, et al, have upped the stakes in destruction and ineptitude. The enemy of my enemy is...ugh! Dick Morris.
I'll try to be unifying until after the election.

Is George Soros Behind The Ongoing Attacks On Peter Schiff?
Wonder what George Soros' Open Society Funds? Here is a nice overview.

Certain characteristics run through Soros' creations like thread through a tapestry.
1. Astroturf surface: Open Society does want to reveal itself as an 800 pound octopus. They fund smaller organizations that try real, real hard to look like a warm and cuddly grass roots organization.
2. Routine misinformation. We examined the Robert Reich falsehoods advanced by moveon.org in a previous post. That is par for the course with most things Soros.
3. A high degree of personal attacks, insults and character assassination. The Left applies the Alinsky Model routinely because the facts are rarely on their side. Thus, they cannot argue substance. Attack. Attack. Attack. Truth be damned.
Do the ongoing series of attacks on Peter Schiff lead back to George Soros? I don't know. There is no smoking gun but there is definitely some astroturf getting installed. The following youtube site is called the SchittReport in honor of TheSchiffReport.

The site posts dozens upon dozens of videos bashing Peter Schiff. Under "Other Channels" they list SchiffNemesis that has uploaded 10 videos. They also list AntiSchiff, a channel with 120 uploads and "The Schitt Report Too" that has uploaded 60 videos.
The channels pretend to be run by individuals but this seems to be a group effort. A lot of similar "style" is consistent throughout the channels. Their collective output suggests a group effort. Most lefties are, what is the right term? Willfully blind? Deliberately ignorant? Most of the OWS crowd have no idea who Peter Schiff is and they don't care to be enlightened.
It is suspicious that unrelated individuals who have no political agenda comb through every word of Peter Schiff, as well as every word of anyone who disagrees with Peter Schiff, spend a hell of a lot of time splicing and producing youtube videos loaded with off the shelf insults that do not necessarily fit the subject at hand and they do it all for recreational purposes. Something is wrong with the picture.

Peter Schiff For Senate
All of my life I have witnessed the best minds adamantly refusing to get involved in politics. People like Milton Friedman, Thomas Sowell and Walter Williams to name three. For whatever reason genuine intellectuals refuse to get involved.
But now there is Peter Schiff. He is an economist but not an economist in the academic sense of the term. In other words, he has had to put his money where his mouth is. He has apparently profited handsomely from his understanding of monetary policy. Now, he is running for the Senate in Connecticut.
Why do I respect Peter Schiff? Because he understands economics. Perhaps the most serious flaw in our republic is that we allow people with no understanding of even the rudiments of economics to hold office. We have lawyers by the truckload. Lawyers with little, if any, economic IQ. Sadly, we have very few economically astute legislators from any profession.

This guy seems like Nostradamus now. What impresses me is that he justifies everything he says. There is no mysticism or sixth sense or "I'm an expert. You won't understand." There is a clarity to his logic that is missing in the public discourse. Get acquainted with him!
