Obama's Political High Water Mark
The most underrated TV show in history might be "SCTV." One of the best story lines is when network owner Guy Caballero creates his own awards show and then rigs the outcomes. SCTV third bananas beat show biz luminaries for every award. When SCTV cleaning lady, Perini Scleroso, is given The Best Foreign Personality Award, Caballero (Joe Flaherty) realizes he has overplayed his hand.
Life imitates art. David Axelrod is Guy Caballero and Barack Obama is Perini Scleroso. For reasons never well articulated, Barack Obama was declared the Nobel Peace Prize winner on October 9, 2009.
If the Scleroso comparison sounds too harsh, let us remind ourselves that the Peace Prize nominations were sealed twelve days after Obama's inauguration. Twelve days of briefings and photo ops and unpacking moving crates. Perhaps Soros and the Ax Man should have waited a year before performing their magic trick.
The Kool-Aiders cannot understand the fuss. What's wrong with recognizing Barack's divine essence? Actions are overrated. Fundamentalism can be mighty ugly.
But not everyone who voted for the O Man is a fundamentalist. Some of his supporters were independents who for some reason thought that Obama was smart and untarnished by a dirty system. When Obama was awarded the coveted Nobel Prize, a lot of independent voters re-examined their choice.
If the Peacemaker did not deserve his latest honor, did he deserve the presidency? Was it possible that he received some preferential treatment in that contest as well? Could it be that Obama was all hype and millions were played as suckers? A lot of people quietly asked themselves that question. Without the Peace Prize, they might not have introspected.
October 9, 2009 might be Obama's political high water mark. Maybe if the puppeteers had waited a year or two, or three, the maneuver would have been perceived differently. But the smart guys did indeed overplay their hand. And as they say, the rest is history.

The Nobel Prize Redux
I believe that the Nobel Peace Prize will be viewed as a turning point for Obama. It makes moderates and even some Obama supporters realize this guy has always received gross preferential treatment. Always. Always. Always. We stacked the Presidential deck for him. Why not stack every other prize for him as well? Why not splice together some news clips, call it a movie and hand him an Oscar? Why not edit his speeches, put it on a CD and give him a Grammy? He's on TV enough. Why not give him an Emmy for the best performance by a sitting president.
What is interesting about the Nobel selection is that even his most passionate ass kissers seem confused by this award. In desperate efforts to justify the award they often ilustrate Obama's vapidity better than his opponents do.
Case in point:
HUH?
This guy seems to be taken off-guard by the announcement so he attacks Republicans.
6:27 "HE SHOULD ASPIRE TO DESERVE IT."
THE AP CHIMES IN
This guy summarizes the sham.
BET THIS GUY WON'T BE INVITED TO OSLO

Just When You Thought You Had Seen it All
Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize. Good work puppeteers! And congratulations, Nobel Prize Award Committee Important People. This selection will help us forget the Arafat and Gore selections. And Obama is working on his acceptance speech now.
"What took you folks so long? My divine essence was obvious years ago. Where were you then? I could have used this resume filler when I was campaigning for my current gig. Sure, the cash prize is nice but my wife gave up some serious hay to move to DC. When is she getting her prize? And when is Ayers getting his prize so he can stop bugging me about book royalties. You want a flowery acceptance speech? Give Ayers the prize and tell him our tab is settled.
I someday hope to learn Austrian so that when I win my second Nobel Prize I can talk to you folks in your native tongue. My kids love Swiss chocolate by the way. Let me say from the bottom of my heart that I do not consider the Swiss typical white persons.
Do you only give one prize per year? That's too bad because I was all over the Skip Gates thing and I didn't get so much as bonus frequent flyer miles. I bought peace to the town halls of America and I bought peace to American Industry. General Motors has never been so peaceful. I did a whole bunch of other shit too, but there isn't time to list my countless achievements.
In passing, I would like to invite all of the folks of Switzerland to America where you could serve in the capacity of community organizers. We need you to vote in the 2012 elections. Don't worry about being a United States citizen, that is no longer an issue. You are citizens of the world and you have shown the proper respect for your social superiors. Help us change that stupid Constitutional Amendment that says a President can only serve three terms. Yes we can!
Ich bin auch ein Stockholmer!"
