Bloomberg TV's Incredibly Stupid 2016 Election Night Coverage

This is rich. Halperin and Heilemann promoted themselves as a political Mensa group.

They are joined by Mike Murphy, perhaps Roger Goodell's strongest challenger to the most overpaid man in the world title. Murphy oversaw Jeb Bush's $100 million dollar war chest and failed to get a bronze medal. Of course, he tries to shroud Trump early on.

What is so amazing--and it is amazing--is how consistently wrong every talking head happens to be. You would think that the law of averages might catch up with them. Nope.

It was rumored that Bloomberg execs were so embarrassed by the predictions that they did what they could to scrub it from the Internet. Understand, this is a shortened version of the original broadcast. So we start out with the Trump sneers and "When will the Republicans learn?" and "Will Trump accept his loss with grace?" and "How will Hillary pull the country together?"Then it skips the middle act and this being Bloomberg, they jump into their financial analysis.

The economic wizards make Paul Krugman look clever. It is startling how consistently wrong they are in retrospect. One woman says outright that a growth rate beyond two per cent is not possible. Let us all rejoice that average people are infinitely smarter than the intelligentsia.

THIS IS WHAT SUPERIORITY LOOKS LIKE?

Ossoff Scores 92,390 Votes With $8.3 Million.

$89.83 per vote. Better than Mike Murphy's $2,884/vote Jeb Bush 2016 Iowa Extravaganza but still an expensive proposition.

Not sure what the $ record is for a Congressional Primary but get used to these sorts of numbers. It's the only way Dems can win.

A Boatload Of Jeremiahs

This is all the sweeter for Mike Murphy's appearance at about 10:00. Prior to calling the general election about as wrong as possible, Murphy worked on the Jeb Bush campaign where he famously secured fifth place for his candidate in Iowa at the unheard of cost of $2,884 per vote. He also formulated the ingenious strategy of attacking Christie, Rubio and Kasich, leaving Trump, Cruz and Carson untouched. Somehow, this buffoon commands a seven-figure salary. What a country!

AND THEY LAUGHED AT MISS CLEO

Rasmussen: Trump, Hillary Tied

Barring an act of God, an act of the devil, the jawbone or Twitter account of an ass, or the antics of the Keystone Cops who have found refuge in the upper echelons of the Republican Party, Donald Trump will be the 45th president of the United States.

Trump is not my first choice but anyone who ignores this golden thread coattail opportunity should be inducted into the Imbecile Hall of Fame right behind Mike Murphy and Jeb Bush and whoever ran the unsuccessful campaigns of Kathleen Matthews and David Trone.

Teflon Don is gaining momentum. The Dem pundits love to use Brer Patch antics. "Oh please don't run someone besides Donald Trump. With his high negatives, we will capture the White House, the Senate, the House and we can award Cabinet posts to Lois Lerner and Jonathan Gruber. Please don't run that formidable John Kasich." Careful what you wish for.

While we should never underestimate an opponent, we need to remind ourselves of just how unpopular Hillary Clinton happens to be. Hillary is not an approximation of Bill and even if she was, he is old news. Hillary should have defeated Barack Obama in 2008 without breaking a sweat. Her only competition in 2016 is to be kind, a joke.

Let's take a minute to remind ourselves of just how awful a candidate and what a rotten person and what a buffoon Bernie Sanders happens to be. The pundits are amazed that an unhandsome, 74-year-old avowed socialist is giving the heart and soul of the Democratic Party a boot in the ass.

Sanders recycles roughly a dozen cliches and his band of idiots never tire of his greatest hits. They see a kindred spirit in a man who was virtually unemployable until he found a parasitic niche in politics. Of course the Millenials love him. He didn't have regular work until he was middle-aged. He got kicked out of a commune for being too lazy. Do you know anyone else who can make that claim?

Sanders has been a cheerleader for Ho Chi Minh, Fidel Castro and the Soviet Union. A red diaper baby, his essence is not about helping the poor or the downtrodden or the forgotten. His is the constant drumbeat of Anti-Americanism.

One could make the case that Sanders in delusional. One could make the case that Sanders is psychotic. One could make the case that Sanders is senile. The actress Sharon Stone has suggested that he did too much acid. It's an unfounded allegation but it's not farfetched by any means. Have you ever seen this pathetic buffoon try to speak when he is deprived of his dozen slogans? I bet he could not  call numbers at a Bingo game.

We could pile on Sanders all day long. Why bother, except to say that without Super Delegates (and in the case of Hillary's rescue, they live up to their name)  Hillary might have lost the nomination to a stupid version of Julius Rosenberg. Let us remind ourselves that Hillary was originally up 35 points against Sanders in New Hampshire. She lost by 22% !!!!

As weak as Hillary is, her stock is falling. The FBI has assigned 147 agents to investigate her. The Clinton-Obama rivalry is real. Even if Hillary has enough dirt of the White House to ward off prosecution--either by a pardon or more characteristically Obama, a slowing down and eventual fizzling of the process--she will forever be known as Crooked Hillary. She will limp across the finish line with token resistance as the Donald has concentrated on scorching Republican Earth.

If the Super-Pacs and Donald Trump and a semi-unified GOP all gang up on Hillary, it will be a sweet November for Republicans.

Oh yes, the Rasmussen link.

Jeb Spent $2,884 Per Vote In Iowa

This blog has shamelessly piled on the heap of ridicule leveled at Jeb Bush, Right To Rise USA, and Mike Murphy. We asked if Jeb would top Bloomberg's $174/vote. Fox News just calculated that Jeb spent $2,884 Per Vote In Iowa.

This is an epic failure. New Coke, Ishtar, the Edsel, the Spruce Goose...Jeb Bush will rival the greatest flops in history. When they construct the Gross Failure Hall of Fame, Jeb Bush and Mike Murphy will be the charter inductees.  Jeb's legacy might be a Trivial Pursuit question. "What GOP presidential candidate spent a record amount to capture sixth place in the Iowa Caucus in 2016?"

In fairness Bush did walk away with 1 delegate. But who knew that nine figures AND a Bob Dole endorsement would not secure a nomination? Strange days have found us.

If We Tried To Fail, Could We Do Worse Than Mike Murphy and Right To Rise USA?

I hold no delusions that I could coach a football team better than the worst coach in the NFL. I don't think I could run an airline either. I sometimes think I could run a network or movie studio better than a lot of executives but I am certain that there is more there than meets the eye. But I have no doubt that I--and really, just about everyone I have ever met--could not possibly do a worse job than the people who run Jeb Bush's campaign or his super PAC, Right to Rise USA.

For weeks we have been subjected to TV ads that bash Rubio, Kasich and Christie. I would throw my hands up and ask who is burning dollars like autumn leaves? Who would spend money to trash the third, fifth and on a good day, the seventh place contender while leaving the top two candidates pretty much untouched? The answer is Right to Rise USA.

Finally, a major player has looked at what is going on. Here is Stephen Hayes of "The Weekly Standard."

Bush's campaign and the Right to Rise super PAC supporting him have churned through more than half of the $100 million-plus they raised in an effort to boost his candidacy. It hasn't worked. When Bush first announced his interest in running, in late December of 2014, he was the prohibitive frontrunner at 18 percent in the RealClearPolitics average of polls. When he formally announced his candidacy in mid-June, he was still the frontrunner, at nearly 11 percent in the RCP average. In the Fox News national poll released Friday, Bush was at 4 percent.

$50 Million and you take your guy from 11 % to 4 %? Seriously, if you disliked Jeb and wanted to tank his campaign, could you do more damage than Mike Murphy? Even if you tried really hard could you bring the front runner to 4%, well out of top tier contention? Truthfully, if his last name was not Bush, Rand Paul would still be sitting at the grownup table.

It gets worse. Hayes again:

Skeptical of national horserace polls? Fair enough. In Iowa, Bush sits in fifth place at 4.5 percent after more than $10 million in pro-Bush ad spending. In New Hampshire, where he's focused his efforts, and the campaign and its allies have spent some $25 million, he's in sixth place at 8.2 percent. His national favorability/unfavorability rating, per a HuffPost pollster aggregation, is 32/54 – the worst in the Republican field. (Donald Trump is 40/54).

Right to Rise has focused on stopping Rubio, Kasich and Christie. They seem to have some success at slowing down Rubio's momentum. But why these three? It is the overthinking school of political strategy. "Establishment Lane" is the latest polysci babble that is muttered by loser consultants.

In 2009, Mayor Michael Bloomberg spent $102 million of his own money to win reelection by a thin margin. At 585,466 votes, Bloomberg spent a staggering $174/vote. As absurd as those numbers are, Right to Rise and Jeb Bush will exceed them and it remains to be seen if he will receive as many votes nationwide. Bloomberg bought an election. Jeb Bush will be lucky to buy a fifth place finish.

PROPPING UP KASICH'S NAME RECOGNITION

MAKING SURE RUBIO DOESN"T GET THE BRONZE MEDAL

MORE MARCO BASHING

GO JEB GO

AT LEAST THEY ATTACK THE FRONT RUNNERS

THEY EVEN TARGET THE LEADER...WITH NO RESULTS

Give any of us nine figures to play with and I think we could get Joey Buttafucco better numbers than Mike Murphy got for Jeb.
