Not To Belabor A Point But Significantly More People See Bigfoot Every Year Than Saw Barack Obama At Columbia

To review, a grand total of three people (none of whom seem particularly interested in talking to anyone about this issue) saw Barack Obama in the two years he attended Columbia University.

By contrast, gislounge.com notes that from 1921 to 2013 there were 3313 sightings of Bigfoot, or 36/year.

Could be that our man, Barack, is much more stealthy than that bungling Sasquatch. Could be.

JFK, Obama And Me

We are just a week away from the 50th anniversary of the JFK assassination. I cannot tell you how many lost weekends I have devoted to a fruitless pursuit of the real story. Each time I thought I had an explanation another plausible story would surface. The JFK assassination is singularly weird. The only thing as strange as the mysterious death of John Fitzgerald Kennedy is the mysterious life of Barack Hussein Obama.

The JFK Assassination is more than an elaborate game of Clue (I say Oswald did it in the Book Depository using a Mannlicher-Carcano...) It provides a fertile laboratory for the study of belief formulation. People who are neither well versed in orthodoxy or contra-orthodoxy nonetheless hold strong opinions about the orthodox narrative as well as the contra-orthodox narratives. Frustrating to scholars, a lot of pundits judge the alternative theories collectively. Oliver Stone, Woody's dad, Fidel, the Mob. It's all one chorus and we got cotton on our ears.

It's so easy to lose sight of the human element. John Kennedy--father, husband, brother, son, friend and president--was murdered. There are multiple efforts to shape arguments, if not rewrite history to claim JFK's memory. The saga is burdened by the complexity of character. My assessment is that JFK was a flawed man but an excellent president. He is possibly our best president.

JFK is also an atypical Kennedy in most respects. For one thing, he was likable. Philosophically, he was worlds apart from his father or brother Ted or any kinfolk of the next generation. Yes, he was a womanizer but his were not normal temptations. Most men take the high road but most men are not being pursued by Marilyn Monroe or Angie Dickinson or Judith Campbell. It's easy to forsake all others when one's only prospect is the dickefrau from the truck stop.

Years ago I read Carl Oglesby's "The Yankee and Cowboy War." Oglesby came out of the radical left but he left most of his prejudices out of the book. This is before we entered the era of hyper-politics when one could read a man's treatise on a given subject and never learn the author's opinions on gay marriage or recycling or the nicknames of sports franchises.

Oglesby's premise is that America was being fought over by two cartels, the Yankees and the Cowboys. Forget political parties. These guys jockey for control of both. The divisions are partly geographical but not entirely so. It's David Rockefeller and his horses and men versus the lesser organized Howard Hughes posse. Cut to the chase: the Cowboys killed JFK.

I had accepted the Cowboy explanation even though it left a lot of holes to fill in. Later, I would come to believe that it was the Mafia, not the Cowboys who killed JFK. Oliver Stone took the Oglesby template and loaded it with his own figurines. Personally, politically and artistically, I loathe Oliver Stone and I had abandoned the Cowboy Theorem (Stone converted it into a military-industrial theorem) for the Marcello/Trafficante Theorem. With those differences, you might think that I hated "JFK." No. "JFK" is the only Stone movie I like. It's a compelling movie.

The FBI recorded Carlos Marcello admitting to killing Kennedy. There are tape recording that implicate Santos Trafficante in a conspiracy to kill Kennedy in Florida. After Trafficante went to mob heaven, his former consigliore implicated him in the murder. Joe Kennedy's mob ties had been greatly understated. And the ribbon on the package: Jack Ruby did indeed have significant ties to organized crime and was visited by two subordinates of Carlos Marcello while incarcerated. Guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt? No. A preponderance of evidence? In this juror's opinion, yes.

If I had more time I would continue to read up on the JFK assassination. Constraints what they be, I had to let it go. But this story just won't quit. Hardly a year goes by when fingers point in yet another direction. A prominent lawyer, Barr McClellan (father of George Bush's press secretary, Scott McClellan) claims LBJ orchestrated the assassination. E. Howard Hunt makes a deathbed confession. Someone implicates Nixon. A strong case for Fidel Castro is promoted. That Grassy Knoll will only hold so many assassins, folks.

Which brings us to Barack Obama. Barry was only three months old when the president was shot. Can't hang this one on him. But the story of Obama's life is stranger than Kennedy's death. A murder not solved to the public's satisfaction? Happens on a fairly frequent basis. An unvetted, mystery man in the White House for five years and counting? There is no precedent. Stranger yet, about half of the country has zero curiosity about the only man in the White House who could never receive a security clearance.

A man graduates from an Ivy League college and none of his classmates had ever seen him. One hundred and forty political science students. African American men are about seven per cent of the US population. On average, there would be about ten African American students in a class that size. Barack Obama is tall and handsome and loves to be the center of attention. Apparently, he mailed it in. Literally.

The Invisible Man at Columbia is not the only mystery concerning Barack Obama. He has spawned an entire industry devoted to solving his many riddles. The bigger mystery is why does at least half the population of America have zero curiosity about the Enigma-In-Chief?

According to Rasmussen, about 45% of likely voters approve of Barack Obama's job performance. That is inexplicable. I understand why Rahm Emanuel approves of Barack Obama. I understand why John Corzine approves of Barack Obama. I understand why Jeffrey Immelt approves of Barack Obama. But just about everyone else? Every conceivable demographic from Millenials to Seniors to African Americans to Californians, union workers, non-union workers, you name it, has fared poorly under Barack Obama. Why then, the unwavering support?

I said earlier that if I had more time I would read up on the JFK assassination. Before I did that I would read up on ELF waves, HAARP, techniques of mind control, techniques of brainwashing, microwavable brain signals, Coast to Coast radio guests, anything, anything, anything at all that mind shed light on the The Great Bamboozle. I hope we will be more successful solving the mysteries of Barack Obama's life than we were at solving the mysteries of JFK's death. We can dream, can't we?

Further Reflections On Obama At Columbia

A good book is one that you cannot put down. A great book is one that you have to put down to reflect on what you have read. The mind cannot keep pace with the wonder.

While we are bombarded with scandal and malfeasance on a daily basis--the page-turner if you will--I am forced to stop and reflect on the absurdity of the Columbia University reunion (prior post) where none of Obama's classmates could remember seeing him (never mind interacting with him.)

Perhaps the most intriguing facet to this story is that by Wayne Allyn Root's estimation, 90% of his classmates (or maybe it was 90% of poli sci majors) supported Barack Obama's political campaigns. So we have something even more absurd than the fact that a man who could never get a low-level security clearance would somehow be trusted with our nuclear and espionage secrets.

The greater farce is the unsettling realization that our best and brightest did not give a second thought to handing the keys to a phantom. These are people who know first hand that there is something fundamentally, (umm, is fraudulent too strong a word?) about our president. This is not the TMZ/Justin/Jayzee/Tweety/Oprah crowd.

Yes, some of the these Columbines are beneficiaries of Obama's big government, hyper-legal, pro-lawyer agenda. But 90% of them do not have fortunes that rise and fall with Jeffrey Immelt's or David Axelrod's or Stephanie Cutter's. The loudest irony of the Obama campaign was that he was largely supported by people who would not benefit and might even be damaged by his rise to power. The Millenials, African-Americans and public pensioners are but three groups that have not fared well under Obama and we could add other groups to that list.

We don't expect middle aged Ivy Leaguers to be so easily duped. We might think that they would want to kick the tires and maybe even look under the hood. Apparently not.

I wish other people shared my curiosity about the invisible man. But we seem to be a distinct minority. Guess it's time to turn the page.

The Manchurian Candidate Skips His 30 Year Reunion

My good friend Cynthia plans to go to heaven. Upon admission, her first order of business will be to ask God to reveal what really happened in Dallas on November 22, 1963. There was a time when I would have shared Cynthia's first choice. Now, I would prefer to learn about the mysteries of Barack Obama's life because his life is stranger than Kennedy's death.

Wayne Allyn Root recently attended his thirtieth reunion at Columbia University. WAR was a classmate of Barack Obama. Since 2007 he has reported that not only did he not remember Barack Obama, he could not find a single classmate who had even a passing memory of Barack Obama. (For this revelation he would be treated to back to back IRS audits shortly after Obama assumed office.)

Understand, there were only about 700 graduates and only about 150 political science majors. Root has never said what percentage of his poly sci classmates were tall African-American men but black men are roughly 7% of the US population. At the risk of being a little bit politically incorrect, Barack Obama would have stood out in the crowd. People who had never spoken to him would probably recognize the lanky black guy. One might figure, anyway.

Wayne Allyn Root returned to his alma mater for his class's pearl reunion:

So I asked every classmate I met at our 30th reunion, many of them Political Science majors, if they ever met, or saw, or heard of Obama. The answer was a resounding NO from every one of them. I asked if they found this strange, or worried how this was possible? They all answered YES. I asked if they thought it was possible to be a Political Science major and never meet a fellow major in our small classes? They all gave me a very strange look and answered NO. So I asked, “How could this be possible? Can you explain this?” No one had an answer.

After all these years the Kennedy Assassination captivates and teases and frustrates. But the life of Barack Obama is even more captivating, more teasing and more frustrating. I hope the new puzzle inside a riddle wrapped in an enigma does not go unsolved. Something tells me we will only learn about the real Barack Obama the same way Cynthia will learn about the JFK assassination.

Happy Thanksgiving and Welcome to The Twilight Zone

My life is wound so tight that if one thing goes wrong--car trouble, computer problem, power outage, lost item--everything seems to unravel. It's been twenty two days since I last blogged. In that time I had a lot of comments but I have kept them to myself.

Frustration is at its peak when I want to say a dozen things at once. I continue to fall behind in my commentary and I have to toss a few subjects overboard. At a time like this, it is best to state the most important issue first.

We live in "The Twilight Zone." Some things I have figured out and other things have gotten so damn weird that I am willing to consider time travel or aliens or Masonic mind control or the new and improved Illuminati as influences. America has become part George Orwell, part Rod Serling, part George Noory. It's not liberal vs. conservative, or left vs. right and it might transcend insider vs. outsider.

In some ways I was right about Obama. I thought we would have a significantly higher debt, higher unemployment, a weaker dollar, a stagnant if not weakened stock market, higher prices in general and higher energy prices in particular. My fears materialized. What I did not foresee is that three years into his presidency, we still have not vetted Barack Hussein Obama. Strange days have found us.

Truthfully, I thought the press would turn on the the chosen one. His Humpty Dumpty moment would sell as many copies as Obama's meteoric rise to stardom. They always betrayed their creations. Always. Build them up and tear them down. Two stories in one. For the first time in my life the press has chosen to refrain from massive profit and greater circulation and increased viewership. We are witnessing a massive conspiracy of silence.

One reason to dismiss a conspiracy theory is too many conspirators. If everyone is a participant, it is not much of a conspiracy. It is just human nature. The press loved Bill Clinton but they are who they are and they exposed his intimate secrets as predictably as Larry Flynt exposed Jackie Onassis. News is, or was, their meal ticket. No one is breaking from the pack.

We would learn more about Joe the Plumber twenty four hours after his inadvertent media baptism than we would learn about Barack Hussein Obama three years after he was elected president. Yes folks, that is weird. Bizarre. Unreal.

Has the press been hijacked by a sinister organization who practice covert rituals and secret handshakes? I don't know. But something has happened. Please excuse me if I am a bit skeptical of biographies called either "The Bridge..." or "The Promise..." No, the flood gates have not opened.

Weirder than the mercenary press harnessing its own voracious greed is the lack of curiosity of tens of millions of Americans. We have to ask ourselves, "Did the gray aliens put something in the water?" Whatever else one might say about Bill Clinton or Ted Kennedy, the public had a good idea who these men happened to be. Their elections were a series of informed choices.

Not so, Obama supporters. Don't ask, don't tell still reigns in Obamaland. You can skip over the birther stuff and he is still an international man of mystery. The White House refused to answer questions about his umm, irregular social security number. Obama has never released any of his transcripts. The ultimate narcissist refuses to flaunt his glowing achievements? Come on.

The press ignores the eccentric Dunham family and their relationship with Franklin Marshall Davis and their attendance at the little red church. An unusual interest in Marxism is present on both sides of Obama's family. The only friend from Occidental to go public was John Drew, a college Marxist who would denounce his ideology (to the disapproval of a young Barack Obama) before graduation.

We know almost nothing about Obama's Columbia classmates. Factcheck.org gets testy about this issue http://www.factcheck.org/2010/02/obama-at-columbia-university/ and then identifies Phil Boerner and one anonymous woman who recalls playing soccer with him. In fairness, he did contribute to a leftist newspaper called "Sundial."
Snopes located a Sohale Siddiqi who seems to have fallen off the face of the earth. They also located exactly one teacher, Michael L. Baron. When Obama said he chose his friends carefully, he really meant it.

Obama supporters are not curious as to who financed Obama's education (he did not disclose any student loans in any of his election filings.) Obama supporters don't want to know who wrote the massive stimulus bill that was just sitting on a shelf when Congress was in recess or the 2,700 page monstrosity that would become known as Obamacare. Can't be bothered.

The media and Obama followers don't seem to care just what Obama did as a community organizer. Spreading hope and change I guess. We make jokes about drinking the Kool-Aid but something happened. Something weirder than weird happened. Something inspired the loyal masses to faithfully install their mental blinders and to pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

Welcome to "The Twilight Zone."
