The mainstream media has gone off on one of its all too frequent partisan rants. CBS has the temerity to ask that Rep. Issa be removed from chairmanship. Everyone knows that the real story to come from that hearing was that the emails disclosed motive .
“Tea Party Matter very dangerous,” Ms. Lerner wrote saying that those applications could end up being the “vehicle to go to court” to get more clarity on a 2010 Supreme Court ruling on campaign finance rules. So spike the Tea Party and avoid another precedent setting expansion of Citizen United.
Naturally the media is ignoring that damning inference and instead it has focused on the wounded ego of easily wounded Rep. Cummings. In the end most concede that Boehner will allow Issa to remain in the chair. Really? Boehner doesn't have to allow anything. If he wants Issa's scalp come and get it. One would think the popular media could figure out that any move on Boehner's part to placate the perpetually aggrieved Democrats would be his last act as speaker. I seriously doubt if Boehner is elected to the speakership again but if he's looking for excitement that would be a good way to find it.
