Imagine there was no metadata for NSA to gather up. This is a tremendously interesting interview with Silent Circle
CEO Michael Janke. Silent Circle is a secret data transfer and encryption service. The developer of PGP, Phil Zimmermann is associated with this firm. Conventional email can never be secure because of its architecture but that does not preclude companies such as Silent Circle from finding other ways to offer secure voice, text, and data transfer. As the encryption service is present on the client side rather than the server side once data is deleted on ones computer or smart phone there is no data on the client or server for governmental agencies to harvest.
