Top Democrat: Send Nikki Haley back to wherever the hell she came from

South Carolina Democratic Party Chairman, Dick Harpootlian is something of a throw back to the days the south would like to forget. We are speaking of the days of Jim Crow and the Klu Klux Klan, in short the days when the Democratic Party ran the south. Harpootlian spends a great deal of his time probing the lower limits of free speech. His latest lapse came as part of an endorsement for Vince Sheheen, who has declared he will run for governor. Harpootlian said he would send 'Nikki Haley back to wherever the hell she came from.'
I don't consider words such as that to be racist. I certainly don't approve of them. They are offensive and rude and like it or not reflect on the entire South Carolina Democratic Party but the racist card is too trite and hackneyed to be played in adult company. "Racistism" is a game played in academia and in the popular media. Harpootlian may or may not be a racist but in this case he was just being a son-of-a-bitch.
