All Town Hall All The Time

When I started this blog I was going to cover a multitude of topics. For better or for worse, I got sidetracked by the Town Hall phenomenon. Initially, I thought town hall meetings were a of tangental interest. There would be a few boisterous peasants shouting their concerns and then they would fade away. That's been the history of every political movement I have ever witnessed. People get fired up and blow off steam but ultimately they find themselves face to face with the god of futility and they return to their peasant ways.

But this is different. It is exciting. It is interesting, especially when the media elite recoil in horror. Check out the recent Niki Tsongas town hall meeting in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.

Wildcard Wednesday: Obama Bypasses the Peasants With Pitchforks

This video is a gem. Check out the New Hampshire Democratic Chairman chanting "Go back to Mass" to the paid Obama supporters bussed in from Massachusetts.

Peasant With Video Camera Shut Out From Town Hall Meeting

I AM AMAZED THAT THIS WOMAN LIVES IN MICHIGAN AND HOLDS TWO JOBS

Peasants With Pitchforks Meet AARP

Am I the only one who gets a thrill up my leg every time the bottle blond waddles in front of the camera? I didn't think so. She's so sweet and tender and kind and her loving essence always shines through.

It always amazes me how people whose job involves public speaking cannot gracefully speak in public. And yet, there are so many civilians who can articulate their points with amazing clarity and poise. Public discourse is second nature to so many average Americans. There are at least two people here I would support for public office.

This vid is a classic.

UGGGH; How Not To Protest

THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LIVELY DEBATE AND HECKLING

Peasants With Pitchforks Meet Rep. Tim Bishop

Seriously, I feel a bit sorry for Bishop and respect him for standing up to the heat. But when you are shilling for Obama, sympathy is finite. Some of these people were rude but most of them politely asked questions the cowards in the media are too timid to ask.
