Is Al Gore In Chicago?

Global warming, climate change, climate disruption, climate chaos comes to Chicago. Snow on May 15.

For the record Chicago was hit with snow as late as June 2 in 1910.

Is Anthropogenic Global Warming Possible And How Can We Make It Happen?

"The planet has a fever." Which planet? Mars? My planet is not so fortunate.

I am paying more for heat than ever. The pyramids do not seem all that impressive in light of all the snow I moved recently with my snow shovel. Yes, I do have a plow guy. But guess what? He is so swamped with work that he can't keep up with it. Why would that be?

Where are all those self-absorbed yuppies with their SUV's when we need them? Yes, the Obamas are doing their part, taking two jets on vacay but where are those Hollywood green warriors when we need them? Harrison For owns six jets but how many does he fly? If he could just warm the planet by one degree, my heating costs would plummet.

And if we could just get Babs to do more shopping in he Winnebago (using store toilets is de classe) maybe we could warm this frigid stone of a planet.

If Al Gore is listening, please crank up the lights in your kilowatt castle. We're freezing up here.

East Anglia Revisited On Russian TV.

I missed discussing the East Anglia story. Ongoing car trouble, change of address, etc., left me out of the loop for a while. Not sure if it is worth revisiting now. The administration has pushed cap and steal to the back solar burner. But given this administration's penchant for ramming through legislation without debate, we might have to keep our guard up. Beware the lame duck kamikaze! (I love to mix metaphor.)

Frigid Friday: Cap and Trade

If it were not for the health care fix-with-sledge-hammer debate, we would hear more about the potential horrors of cap and trade. It is part of the Obama playbook to fast track legislation before the issue can be discussed. Who gives a damn about the fine print?

I consider cap and trade a more destructive measure than the Kevorkian-inspired health care reform. It is more insidious than health care contamination. It is not a kitchen table/water cooler issue. But this issue will have its day in the sun. Mmm hmmm. I can hardly wait.

PLEASE BOOKMARK THIS ISSUE AND REFER BACK AFTER WE DISCUSS HEALTH CARE
