What does the the 1% of our economic elite look like? He looks like a Manhattan fat cat who tries really, really hard to affect a blue collar image. This is Moore at his finest. He compares himself to Washington and Jefferson. He flaunts his moral superiority at every turn. He suggests that he is carrying on the work of people who have taken a vow of poverty. Ultimately, it is all about Michael.

Bill Maher: Smug Bastard or Sellout Supreme?

As with Letterman, it hurts to watch Bill Maher boldly chart the course of least resistance. Anyone who bashes Palin and blows Obama can't very easily be called politically incorrect. But Maher used to host a show called "Politically Incorrect" and for a while he was just that. But Maher went Hollywood and so did his views. He sold out and thereby secured steady employment.

Oh and yes, Maher used to be funny.
