The Return Of Juanita Broaddrick

This post has been on the back burner for almost two months. Unfortunately, Kathleen Willey is not the only woman who claims Bill Clinton once raped her. Now 73, Ms. Broaddrick claims WJC atacked her in 1978.

Why are Willey and Broaddrick finally finding their audience? One factor is Hillary's presidential run. Another is the sordid tale of Bill Cosby finally coming to light. Perhaps most significantly is the passage of time.

When women originally came out of the shadows to tell of their close encounters with Bill Clinton they were viewed with suspicion. Were they looking for a settlement, ala Paula Jones? Were they GOP plants? Were they seeking attention?

Two decades later Willey and Broadrrick are not chomping caviar, they do not host talk shows, they are not political power brokers. These women's stories have not changed over the years. Two decades ago, the Rahms and Hillarys and Georges challenged their credibility with some success. That will be harder to do this time around especially when the reputations of Bill and Hillary and all the FOB's are so overwhelmingly tarnished.

Btoadrrick and Willey are victims and they are also survivors. They have stood strong and have lived good lives. Adversity hurt them but it did not destroy them. They are both alive and well. Justice delayed is justice denied of course but 2016 might deliver a measure of satisfaction. Let's hope so.

It's well-documented that the Clintons et al are scumbags of the lowest order...
Yet they remain wildly popular...
The reason?
The American consciousness has been subverted through the school systems and the media for the
last 40-50 years by the Soviet Union.
The plan was (and is) to destroy us from within, no matter how long it takes--a stealth plan...
Without going into greater detail on that subject, I will simply say that "backwards thinking" has become
incredibly prevalent in our society. Anything that would smear the character of the beloved political figures
of the backwards-thinkers is simply deemed a "right-wing" plot, or lie...
Once deemed as such, the allegations, or even the facts, become immaterial...
Truth is no longer Truth--it has become any lie that one wants to believe.

You may find this astounding, but I don't believe that Mr. Cosby (a one-beloved
right-wing figure) is guilty.
What I do believe is that the case against him is a stacked deck, designed to convince the disbelievers.
(It isn't going to matter if he is found guilty or not)
And, having made their case, it will seem that whatever Bill Clinton may have done is
merely "small potatoes" in comparison.
It will likely be deemed "just a misunderstanding"...
After all, he did not "have sexual relations with that woman"...

I have to disagree, Moose. Bill Clinton was popular because he delivered eight years of peace and prosperity. He was also a charming and personable man.

As to his sexual behavior, his political rivals chose to emphasize a consensual relationship with Monica Lewinsky (and Jennifer Flowers for that matter) as they de-emphasized or even ignored two allegations of rape. It was a classic case of the bull chasing the cape (or in this case the blue dress) instead of aiming for the matador. In my view, rape and willful sex are not approximates. They are different not in degree but in kind.

The Clintons might have been sleazy but only recently have blatantly obvious, clearly irrefutable crimes come to light. Using a private server to route top secret emails is undeniably a crime. It is so criminal and the evidence against Hillary is so overwhelming that to ignore the myriad crimes would destroy any pretense of justice we might still cling to.

Almost as serious and not quite as obvious, is Hillary using her position to sell influence via donations to The Clinton Foundation. This might not be as cut and dry as the email crimes but there is strong evidence that bribery, graft and possibly even sedition might have transpired when Hillary was Secretary of State.

Two differences between Bill and Hillary: Bill's public record is one to be proud of and Hillary's is a disaster. A nightmare. Giant fail. Also, Hillary is not personable or charming. In the words of Edward Klein, Hillary is "Unlikeable."

Mr. Clinton's 8 years of peace and prosperity were, pretty much, courtesy of his predecessors...
Bill is certainly more likable than Hillary--they don't call him "Slick Willy" for nothing...
I wouldn't call him any less of a scumbag, however...
Probably the only woman whose name is associated with him that he didn't "have sexual relations" with was his wife...
