President Obama, in his shrouding of the Keystone Pipeline, reminded us that the project is no economic silver bullet. Maybe not, but add up all of the proposed pipelines and you might have yourself a silver mortar shell.
I grabbed the above from http://www.fractracker.org/2014/03/proposed-pipelines/. They seem to be a Luddite anti-fracking, anti-pipeline, anti-technology organization. Regardless, they provide interesting maps and metadata.
Maybe there are shovel ready jobs after all.

I wrote a post on the Tea Party blog sometime ago. I can't recall the exact number but we have just under 400,000 miles of natural gas, crude, and refined petroleum products pipelines in the lower 48. That excludes million of miles of urban gas distribution lines. Hell, T. Boone Pickens has 3 pipelines crossing his ranch.
