Obama generates suspicion because he never puts his cards on the table. If he wanted to provide universal health care he could have done so with a fraction of his stimulus plan. A fraction. Instead, he lined the pockets of his political allies and and we are hard pressed to find anything vital in his so-called stimulus plan.
By the way, you can do the math at home but not everyone seems to agree on the numbers. The number of uninsured that gets tossed around is 47 million. Is there a fact checker in the house? Limbaugh states that the 47 million is inflated. But even if we use that upper number, 47 million, we could probably offer excellent coverage for about $4000/person. That would come to $188 billion per year. Multiply that by four and you have the approximate cost of Obama's so-called stimulus plan. Obama could have covered every American for his first four years in office.
So if Obama is truly a bleeding heart, someone who possesses genuine sympathy for the uninsured, his actions don't show it. He had an opportunity to insure the uninsured and he left them out of the equation. Millions here, billions there but nothing for the uninsured. Nada.
So what is Obama's real agenda? I don't know. Does anyone but Obama's inner circle know? We can speculate. We can say that he wants control for control sake or that he wants to crush the insurance industry. But we don't know. We have no idea. Everything with Obama is shrouded in secrecy. The candidate who preached transparency has run the most occluded administration in memory. Just what is Obama's agenda? What does Obama want?
