This should be a bad news week for the president. Every time an old scandal re-emerges for the Dems, a flurry of anonymous leaks rain down on the news media. Coincidentally, these leaks all seem to paint the president in a negative light. Almost as if an invisible hand were at play. If I was not reflexively dismissive of conspiracies...

The Seth Rich murder is not the only story in the news that could ultimately result in a Trump diversion leak. The DNC is facing two possible class action suits, neither of which would paint the donkeys in splashy colors. The first is from Bernie Sanders donors who are rightfully claiming fraud because Wasserman -Schultz and others stacked the deck against their candidate.

Oh, and by the way, the lawyers for the plaintiffs are perplexed at the media blackout. Given the wholesale collusion between Hillary and her pals in the fourth estate, one can understand why they don't care to discuss the litigation. It could get embarrassing if self-proclaimed unbiased journalists are called as witnesses and are asked pointed questions about the assistance they gave to Clinton at Sanders' expense.

In the suit, Wilding v. DNC, the Sanders supporters and their attorneys claim Schultz and the Democratic National Committee defrauded them out of their money by pledging to be neutral when in fact the committee was working, from early on, to help Hillary Clinton — and only Hillary Clinton. They accuse them of “intentional, willful, wanton and malicious” conduct.

They also accuse the DNC and its chairwoman, Wasserman Schultz, of negligent misrepresentation, violation of a local District of Columbia law, unjust enrichment, breach of fiduciary duty, and negligence for failing “to use and exercise reasonable and due care in obtaining, retaining and securing the personal and financial information provided to them” by people who donated to the committee.

The Democratic National Committee and former DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz are currently facing a class action lawsuit filed on behalf of Bernie Sanders supporters in federal court for rigging the Democratic primaries in favor of Hillary Clinton. On May 12, CBS reported another class action lawsuit was filed against the DNC for stiffing dozens of field organizers all over the country for overtime work during the 2016 election while the DNC gave out $1 million in bonuses, including more than $300,000 to Democratic National Convention Host Committee Executive Director Kevin Washo. The lawsuit was filed by Justin Swidler of Cherry Hill, N.J. on behalf of 40 to 50 field organizers against the DNC, Pennsylvania state Democrats, and five other state Democratic Parties. “These workers were out there in a campaign that was promising $15 an hour minimum wage and expanding the overtime rights of workers,” Swidler told CBS. He added the lawsuit seeks “fair pay for fair work” and to hold the Democratic Party accountable to the ideals it markets itself with.

Chair of the Democratic National Convention Host Committee and former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell alleged that the Democratic National Convention was separate from the operations noted in the lawsuit. Many of the plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit worked 80 to 90 hours a week for Hillary Clinton’s campaign and were compensated only $3,000 a month.

James Simpson Is Writing What We Are All Thinking

One of the reasons I am posting this, is because until today I had never heard of James Simpson. My point is that there are millions of James Simpsons out there. This is the voice of everyman who has not surrendered his critical judgment to the collective media papacy.

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), that stalwart example of political grace, politesse, and comity, leveled his stern opinion: “In a week full of revelation after revelation — on a day when we thought things couldn’t get any worse, they have,” he said on the Senate floor. “I say to all of my colleagues in the Senate: History is watching.”

The heroic John McCain, ever a voice of level-headedness, moderation, and grace, said that the White House scandals are rising to “Watergate-size and scale.” Wow!

In an opinion piece, appropriately titled “No More Benefit of the Doubt,” the formidable Erick Erickson himself said, “Frankly, if there is not a course correction soon, the President needs to consider resigning.”

I have to ask: Are these people serious?

I have never, ever, ever seen such hyperbole in my entire life of watching this sordid melodrama called Washington, D.C., play itself out on the world stage. The cacophony is shaking the rafters. It is almost impossible to hear oneself think.

And after all, that is the goal isn’t it?

What we are really witnessing is an unprecedented effort to destroy this presidency. They have said that is their intention. And Republicans, not content to sit on the sidelines and watch their serially corrupt Democrat brethren and the Democrats’ media and street thug allies wreak havoc, have jumped in to help out rather than get tarred with the same brush.

12 Ways The Southern Poverty Law Center Is A Scam To Profit From Hate-Mongering

Why do so many folks treat the SPLC with undeserved reverence, the way too many high school kids treat a self-appointed nasty queen bee? Why do they accept the Southern Poverty Law Center as the nation’s Grand Inquisitor dictating who may speak and who must shut up? And why are its smears and caricatures so often blindly accepted at face value? What qualifies the SPLC to act as judge, jury, and social executioner of any human being who is not their blind supporter?

Those questions have been hanging in the air for decades. As with all vilification campaigns, the SPLC plays a dangerous and cruel game under the guise of defending victims. So let’s take a closer look at some of the SPLC’s history and behavior. Let’s count some ways it’s a con game.

1. It’s a Big-Money Smear Machine

The SPLC’s main role is as a massively funded propaganda smear machine. The following information on the SPLC, provided by Karl Zinsmeister of Philanthropy Roundtable, is an eye-opener: “Its two largest expenses are propaganda operations: creating its annual lists of ‘haters’ and ‘extremists,’ and running a big effort that pushes ‘tolerance education’ through more than 400,000 public-school teachers. And the single biggest effort undertaken by the SPLC? Fundraising. On the organization’s 2015 IRS 990 form it declared $10 million of direct fundraising expenses, far more than it has ever spent on legal services.”

The Family Research Council shooter, who pleaded guilty today to a terrorism charge, picked his target off a "hate map" on the website of the ultra-liberal Southern Poverty Law Center which is upset with the conservative group's opposition to gay rights.

Floyd Lee Corkins II pleaded guilty to three charges including a charge of committing an act of terrorism related to the August 15, 2012 injuring of FRC's guard. He told the FBI that he wanted to kill anti-gay targets and went to the law center's website for ideas.

At a court hearing where his comments to the FBI were revealed, he said that he intended to "kill as many as possible and smear the Chick-Fil-A sandwiches in victims' faces, and kill the guard." The shooting occurred after an executive with Chick-Fil-A announced his support for traditional marriage, angering same-sex marriage proponents.

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins said that the Southern Poverty Law Center should take responsibility for the shooting and take down their hate map.

DMA Names 4 to Hall of Fame

A man who founded one of the South's largest publishing companies and the creator of a multimedia teaching program are among four new entries in the Direct Marketing Association's Hall of Fame.


Morris S. Dees Jr., chief trial counsel and chairman of the executive committees of the Southern Poverty Law Center; Richard Hodgson, president of Sargeant House; and Robert J. Teufel, president and chief operating officer of Rodale Press Inc. will be formally inducted at the DMA's 81st Annual Conference & Exhibition in San Francisco on October 11-14. Thomas S. Foster, co-founder and former president of Foster & Gallagher, will be inducted posthumously. He died in 1996.
