Nanny state mayor challenges voters to lose weight

We don't hear a lot about anorexia anymore. Remember it? the scourge of white teen girls that kept the Dr. Phil types awake at night. Today it is probably considered civic virtue but while we wait for it to make a comeback New Haven, Connecticut Mayor Toni Harp has challenged her subjects to lose 375,000 pounds. It's people like Toni Harp that make Toronto Mayor Rob Ford look good. The poor fellow has some challenges in his personal life but he allows the voters to have a personal life too.
Will her honor be happy when everyone in New Haven looks like Rosa DeLauro ? I doubt it.
