Donald Trump is a dignified man who surrounds himself with dignified people. Are we supposed to shed tears because Beyonce and Adam and Blake and Gwen shunned the inauguration? I could not watch all of the parade but my sources said it was spectacular, all the more so for the absence of the agented class.
As this is written, I am watching the Inaugural Prayer Service. I guess all of his predecessors sat through something similar. I don't know. I never watched one of these services or an inaugural parade, for that matter.
Maybe it's my imagination but I think we might be witnessing the return of dignity. I sure hope so.
