Michael Brown And The Hypocrisy Of The Left

American police frequently act as thugs, inflicting terrorism on civilians that often enough concludes in the termination of a human life. The left and the media (excuse the redundancy) are largely indifferent to police brutality, especially when it is inflicted on white people. But if the victim can be used to promote a political agenda, as is the case with Michael Brown, the story is portrayed in a much different light.

I still don't like what happened to Michael Brown. He was unarmed, he was shot repeatedly, he was shot twice in the head. Still, the grand jury hammered out the details, something I have not done.

What is always troubling about the media/the Left is that they only show concern for people who can be manipulated into political props. I saw glimpses of CNN last night and I can tell you `that they were fanning the fires of racial divide. They were injecting themselves into the story, marching with the protesters in Manhattan, reciting a litany of police vs. young black men massacres.

A few days after Michael Brown was shot, an unarmed white man was gunned down by a black police officer in Salt Lake City. Where was Al Sharpton? A previous post by Hoosierman shows a man armed with a pen knife gunned down by what looks to be a rainbow coalition of cops in 2012.  Giant yawn from media bigwigs. Police terrorism remains largely a white on white crime. More yawns.

The media starlets do not care about Michael Brown. They were hoping to spin the resentment so as to assist the Dems in the midterms. Vote out of revenge. We heard those instructions before. Unfortunately for people like Kay Hagan, the grand jury was not fast-tracked. They meticulously did their job.

CNN would gladly dance on Michael Brown's grave. And there will be other Michael Browns. Rahm Emanuel will always be remembered for his maxim "let no crisis go to waste." To Sharpton and Don Lemon and Eric Holder, Michael Brown's life and death are but vehicles for their opportunism. CNN, MSNBC, CBS and everyone else not named Fox will do whatever they can to boost their dismal ratings. The tragedy in Ferguson will not go to waste. CNN will make certain of that.
