An Immodest Proposal: An Independent Panel To Investigate ALL Foreign Influence On American Elections

We should all reject the silly idea of an independent prosecutor to investigate the Trump campaign's alleged collusion with Russia and Vladimir Putin. Not a scintilla of evidence of criminality has been made public. Absurd dossiers advanced by Buzzfeed and CNN do not constitute probable cause. Nor does coordination between the DNC and comic Has Beens to spread rumors of Russian collusion constitute probable cause.

DNC collusion with major news networks to spread innuendo and rumor concerning Russian hacking does not qualify as probable cause. And the infinite parroting of the silly ass cliche "Where there is smoke, there is fire," including the frequently echoed "There is a lot of smoke but no fire," or any other conspicuously stupid variations on a stupid theme in no way constitute grounds for empanelling a fishing expdition.

So how about we form an independent panel ala Simpson-Bowles, to investigate foreign influence on American elections? Investigate Russia-Trump collusion? Sure. But let us not ignore the ongoing, significant, prolonged financial dealings between Russian oligarchs and both the Clintons and the Podestas. Let us review other foreign entities' donations to the Democrat bigwigs as well.

Hungarian Citizen Of The World, George Soros, should already have been investigated for his profound impact on American elections at all levels and who has spent a literal and not small fortune to suppress free speech in America. Let us not forget the influence of the Murdoch Family and Carlos Slim's purchase of NYT stock leading up to the 2016 presidential election.

The covert influence of Saudi media influence might be the biggest cover-up of our time. It is every bit as significant as any Russian influence might be. Spotlight long overdue.

Most of us would love to see an honest, impartial investigation into foreign influence on our elections. Does anyone think Washington--especially DNC Washington--wants their funding revealed? We can dream, can't we?
