One More Fake News Standing Headline: Barack Obama Was A Popular President

There's actually two kinds of #FakeNews. The first occurs when CNN reports stuff that isn't true. The second is when CNN doesn't report stuff that should be reported, stuff that really is kind of noteworthy, stuff that they'd report if circumstances were different. Such as this article from Investors Business Daily, Here's One Poll The Press Doesn't Want You To See:
Gallup report that came out last Friday, which took a final look at the President Obama's popularity over his eight years in office.

That poll found that Obama's overall average approval rating was a dismal 47.9%.

Only three presidents scored worse than Obama since Gallup started doing these surveys in 1945: never-elected Gerald Ford (47.2%), one-termer Jimmy Carter (45.4%), and Harry Truman (45.4%).

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
By the way, how did 'W' do, compared with Obama?
Obama even did worse overall than Richard Nixon, whose average approval was 49%, and was less popular overall than George W. Bush, who got an average 49.4%.
Alrighty then. So basically CNN has been lying to us all this time. Good to know.

The Real Silent Majority? Dead Men Might Not Tell Tales But They Do Seem To Vote

Perhaps the fakest of fake news: There is no evidence that voter fraud exists.

25 million might seem a little bit high but consider this:

“…The Pew study found that almost 3 million people are registered to vote in more than one state,” NPR added.
That’s because when a new resident registers to vote in a state, officials usually never bother to tell his former state about the change in voter residency.
Under the “catch and release” immigration program by the Obama administration, illegal aliens were routinely given bus tickets to travel to other states by immigration officials, so it was theoretically possible for non-citizens to register to vote in a border country illegally, then register to vote in another state after their taxpayer-funded bus dropped them off.

"Frontline" Take On Why Trump Decided To Run

In this era of hyper-bias and hyper-politics it is the height of irresponsibility for a distinguished blogger to pass on an MSM piece without pointing out the ingrained partisanship.

First, kudos once more to the narrator, Will Lyman. Don't ask me why but this blogger appreciates narrative television and is drawn to--if not hypnotized by--the work of Lyman, Edward Herrmann and the incomparable Peter Thomas (sad. Minutes ago I looked up Thomas and learned of his passing in 2016 at the age of 91. RIP Peter.) Good work as always, Mr. Lyman.

PBS. Can we finally defund those sleazy propagandists? Asking the president to produce a birth certificate is labeled as an "attack." PBS has re-established poor poor Barry's victimization and justifies the Pampered One's public humiliation of Donald Trump.

A few comments about Obama's anti-Trump broadside. Obama was, is and always will be a bully. Trump was blindsided by Obama's snarky comments and was not afforded a comeback. No sense of fair play in the Obama years. None. One more act of conspicuous cowardice on the part of Seth Myers and Barry Soetoro. Pussies!

Let's skip over the undignified president and the eight year moratorium of broadcast humor directed at the ruling class in general and King Barry in particular and let's ignore the absence of self-deprecation that characterized Obama's verbally aggressive humor and his cult leader personality that could brook no insult, large or small, gentle or harsh, vicious or playful...let's skip over those trivialities for now.

PBS loads up the Trump experts with renowned Leftists: O'Brien, Remnick, D'Antonio. In fairness, they balance the scale with Roger Stone and Omarosa. And maybe they are correct that Trump's motives are always personal, visceral and superficial but once more, when the Left describes Donald Trump, it sounds like they are talking about Barack Obama.

Oh and by the way, President Obama, for seventeen years you told your literary agents--and by extension, the world--that you were born in what country?

Has Donald Trump Become My Personal Genie?

Being a cynic, I thought The Donald would go native once he reached D. C. That might still happen but we have not seen it yet.

At the top of my wish list is a national investigation of voter fraud. For whatever reason this issue is never on the Bush Party agenda. Why? I don't know. Secret handshakes or something?

You want an example of fake news, try this one: "There is no evidence that illegal aliens vote." Blatant falsehood!

Political scientist Jesse Richman of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, has worked with colleagues to produce groundbreaking research on noncitizen voting, and this week he posted a blog in response to Mr. Trump’s assertion.
Based on national polling by a consortium of universities, a report by Mr. Richman said 6.4 percent of the estimated 20 million adult noncitizens in the U.S. voted in November. He extrapolated that that percentage would have added 834,381 net votes for Mrs. Clinton, who received about 2.8 million more votes than Mr. Trump.
Mr. Richman calculated that Mrs. Clinton would have collected 81 percent of noncitizen votes.

BTW, this is the tip of the voter fraud iceberg.

Another Forgotten Highlight Of The Obama Administration

How about the IRS audit of a reporter who dared to ask Obama a tough question?

A reporter from a St. Louis TV station who gave a tough interview to Richard Milhous Obama last year wrote on Facebook he had been harassed by the IRS after the interview (Dana Loesch, RedState).
St. Louis Reporter Larry Conners revealed via Facebook yesterday that he has been “hammered” by the IRS since his much-discussed interview with President Obama. Conners, a veteran reporter, asked tough, but fair question during the interview which was slammed by progressives in media. Conners says:
Shortly after I did my April 2012 interview with President Obama, my wife, friends and some viewers suggested that I might need to watch out for the IRS.

A partial summary of the attack on a free press

We will spend years reviewing the widespread, constant abuse of power that uniquely characterized the Obama Administration. Forget about the last eight years? Move on? Hell NO! We will never forget!

Putting Obama In Perspective

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.” --

Gary L Beasley

A hat tip to The Feral Irishman for reviving the above quote from 2009.

A Must Read From Asia Times--Donald Trump: American Hero

One reason why Trump is so disruptive is that we do not have a recognizable idiom for him. How many Westerns do you remember where the guy from back East rides into town in a fancy stagecoach wearing a manicured suit and proceeds to bang cowboys' heads together? It never happened. Not once.

Demographically, Trump is a prototypical movie villain. He is white, rich, gruff and horny. There is more than meets the lazy eye, however:

Trump is a Christian, to be sure, of a characteristically American variety: as the political scientist Joshua Mitchell observed, he was for decades a follower of the Rev. Norman Vincent Peale, whose bestselling version of the prosperity gospel in The Power of Positive Thinking made him rich. Whether and in what way Trump is a Christian, though, is far less important than the fact that he is instantly recognizable as the protagonist in a Christian drama: the lone avenger who stands up to the depraved powers of the world and calls them out for combat.

Trump's Warm Welcome At CIA

Some context: If you listen to Shepherd Smith (I know. Why would we? Because we are hopeless information junkies and we sometimes consort with all sorts of vermin in order to feed our habit) you would think the "intelligence community" (like they all sleep in the same communal bed) was at odds with that vile and vulgar Donald Trump. This video suggests otherwise.

Note that this is Trump's Day 1 Presidential order of business.

Note that this lobby can only hold 400 agents SRO and it was said that many more wanted to attend.

Note the warm reception and cheering that sounds sincere and heartfelt.
