Bloomberg TV's Incredibly Stupid 2016 Election Night Coverage

This is rich. Halperin and Heilemann promoted themselves as a political Mensa group.

They are joined by Mike Murphy, perhaps Roger Goodell's strongest challenger to the most overpaid man in the world title. Murphy oversaw Jeb Bush's $100 million dollar war chest and failed to get a bronze medal. Of course, he tries to shroud Trump early on.

What is so amazing--and it is amazing--is how consistently wrong every talking head happens to be. You would think that the law of averages might catch up with them. Nope.

It was rumored that Bloomberg execs were so embarrassed by the predictions that they did what they could to scrub it from the Internet. Understand, this is a shortened version of the original broadcast. So we start out with the Trump sneers and "When will the Republicans learn?" and "Will Trump accept his loss with grace?" and "How will Hillary pull the country together?"Then it skips the middle act and this being Bloomberg, they jump into their financial analysis.

The economic wizards make Paul Krugman look clever. It is startling how consistently wrong they are in retrospect. One woman says outright that a growth rate beyond two per cent is not possible. Let us all rejoice that average people are infinitely smarter than the intelligentsia.

THIS IS WHAT SUPERIORITY LOOKS LIKE?
