Kentucky Women? Really?

The Morning Joe crew mocks this add produced by the Alison Lundergan Grimes campaign. The male model, a European, has a hefty portfolio of ads in which he already appeared. There is something about Grimes that makes ridicule easy. "She would make a great game show host." This Mcconnell ad is almost a year old but I find it very entertaining. It's hardly informative, could never be considered malicious, but it makes me laugh.

McConnell has had the good fortune to find clever ad people. The below video was not run on the web. It predates the internet or at least the graphical world wide web segment. It ran on television in 1984 and is still considered a classic is some partisan circles. It lead to the upset of Walter "Dee" Huddleson and put McConnell in the senate.

Despite Media Blackout, IRS Scandal Continues To Unfold

The Center for Competitive Politics announced their complaint Tuesday, in which they charge that lawmakers tried to get the tax agency to probe outside conservative groups.
“These senators improperly attempted to use the IRS to suppress the free speech of American citizens for their party’s electoral gain,” said Brad Smith, chairman of the Center and a former Chairman of the Federal Election Commission. “We will fight this type of abuse of power and work to ensure that those who have violated Senate Ethics rules are held to account.”
The group wants the ethics panel to look at Sens. Dick Durbin (Ill.), Chuck Schumer (N.Y.), Carl Levin (Mich.), Michael Bennet (Colo.), Sheldon Whitehouse (R.I.), Jeanne Shaheen (N.H.), Al Franken (Minn.), Jeff Merkley (Ore.), and Tom Udall (N.M.).

UK Independence Party Shocks The World

OK, it's not like I know what I am talking about because the more I read up on the European Union and UK politics, the more confused I get. But the upshot is this: The United Kingdom Independence Party carried the recent Parliament elections with about 27.5% of the vote. The British versions of Democrats and Republicans, The Labour Party and Conservative Party respectively, placed second and third.

There is no US parallel but imagine an election where the D's and R's got second and third. It might turn a few heads. UKIP is the closest thing the UK has to a Tea Party movement. They want to leave the EU and send a lot of imported criminals and terrorists back where they came from. Not surprisingly, UKIP members are portrayed as bigots in the British press.

Britain holds general elections in 2015 and I am not sure what this portends or if portends anything. Meanwhile, the Front National Party is getting attention in France. Similar "Eurosceptic" organizations are forming throughout Europe.

I am of two minds about globalization. I think cross-border trade is a good thing but unfortunately it comes with baggage, often in the form of elitist imperialism. Trading with Asia is good but UN small arms regulations, not so much. In the case of the EU, it is rule by the escargot class. If I lived in Europe I would reject everything the leaders endorsed.

I don't know much about IKIP but to paraphrase a great president, "Ich bin auch ein Eurosceptic."

Obots' Unconditional Love For Their Leader

This blog started in late 2008 to denounce the frightening religious devotion to Barack Obama. At the time I thought Obamamania would be a passing fad. I was wrong.

In the wake of a deadly VA scandal, the roll out of a new war on coal and a jihadists for deserter trade that would leave even leftist pundits scratching their heads, one would think that Barack Obama's numbers would plummet. His approval rating is 50% at Rasmussen.

We underestimate the cultist loyalty that surrounds Obama. I thought given his disastrous first term, a term that would that would make Jimmy Carter and Herbert Hoover look good by comparison and would qualify Obama as one of the two or three worst presidents in US History, the cultists might turn on their exalted leader. Wrong!

I thought that the Benghazi scandal might change a few minds. I thought the revelations of 2013, where Lois Lerner publicly confirmed that the IRS had been weaponized and might have tipped the scales in the 2012 election and that the NSA and the White House spied on both honest citizens and honest reporters, might be a tipping point. Wrong!

Never before have we seen a politician whose career has been defined entirely by scandal and ineptitude. Yes, he killed Bin Laden. Got anything else? Anything? Anything at all? It has been an endless parade of Solyndras and Fast and Furiouses and malfunctioning websites and absurd deficits. 50% approval.

Obots cannot and will not face facts. They don't have to and you can't make them! NaNaNaNa! They will defriend anyone who says something unfavorable about their deity. They will block the channel that maybe, just maybe, will criticize him. They will leave the room when someone says something not overtly worshipful about their leader. 50% approval! Unconditional love!

I have heard callers on radio shows suggest that the megalomaniac will extra-legally try for a third term. He will not give up power so easily. I have friends who have echoed this fear. That used to seem like irrational paranoia. No longer.

Barack Obama knows that he is infallible in the eyes of his followers. He is emboldened. 50% approval!

We are all in danger!

The Continuing Saga Of Larry Sinclair

Over the years, the blurred photo of Larry Sinclair has come into focus. So too, has the hazy portrait of Barack Obama. Larry Sinclair is a profile in courage. Obama is a thug surrounded by thugs.

Sinclair News is Larry's newest web outlet. It's not as Tripod/Angelfire looking as his prior efforts. It seems to be coming along but if you dig a little bit you will find out that Sinclair is still being harassed and tormented. Sinclair is selling the rights to his book, "Barack Obama and Larry Sinclair: Cocaine, Sex, Lies and Murder?" For $20k you can purchase the copyright for Sinclair's seminal account of his two day encounter with a handsome man from Chicago.

Why would a man let a steady selling cash goat get away from him so cheaply? Mounting legal fees. The latest salvo involves a thirteen year old incident that Sinclair was lead to believe was a done deal. Bogus warrants and intimidating civil suits have been the better part of Larry Sinclair's daily life ever since he emerged as a whistle blower. Sinclair is running the gauntlet once more. His story has not changed.
