Thank you so much, George Bush! Thank you, GOP! Homeland Security is unwilling or unable to catch terrorist. The Shoe Bomber, The Underwear Bomber, The Times Square Bomber were done in by their own ineptitude. The Boston Marathon Bombers failed to make a strong case for DHS funding. From its very onset DHS has been a model of waste, fraud and abuse.
DHS might be helpless against terrorists and illegal alien welfare cheats but they can hassle average citizens as well as any other government agency. DHS is test-flying new confiscatory powers by seizing vehicles of private citizens that might, maybe, possibly violate EPA emission standards.
DHS is an ongoing disasaer. Let us defund it and sow salt in the soil where their offices once stood.
