Obama asks officers, Will you fire on Americans?

According to Dr. Jim Garrow, a Nobel Prize nominee, a source tells him that Obama is shaking up the military brass by using as a litmus the officers' willingness to fire on Americans. Of course the set back the President suffered with his attempts at more gun control legislation following Sandy Hook and the downsizing of the army made necessary by the sequester make a military take over a pretty dubious bet. Yes, the military probably could defeat a rebel army in a head to head battle but to try to control the day to day life of the entire country just is not possible. It would need the cooperation of local law enforcement which may be forth coming in Massachusetts and New York City but practically nowhere else.
Try running the state of Texas with the troops at Fort Hood or Kentucky with the men from Forts Knox and Campbell. Try running West Virginia with the West Virginia National Guard. The bitch is career veterans tend to settle in close proximity to military bases as to better access medical treatment and the commissaries and they are often only a few years older than the active duty troops. They have camaraderie with active duty personnel and vice versa and many cases would be a competitive counter force but it would never come to that.
This is not to suggest that many on the left, including some in the Obama White House, and maybe Obama himself would not like to see the federal government  have enhanced police powers. It would be a great idea for Obama to just once fire his advisers who give him such bad counsel.

I wish this was a paranoid fantasy. Unfortunately, it is very plausible.
