With Friends Like Boehner And McConnell...

Part of me says, Boehner has got to go. The other part of me says It's too late. Solvency is no longer possible. No use fighting now. The patient is dead, he just doesn't know it yet. Keep him comfortable and sedate him. Request a body bag from transport.

I believe it was Fox News who were doing the fiscal cliff winners and losers. I did not know if I should laugh or cry. Everyone who gets a monthly check, wins a little bit. Everyone else loses.

But even the payees lose. If everyone gets a check, it won't be long till no one gets a check. And to all the loyal Democrats out there, do you really think you won? Will you feel like a winner when each taxpayer (possibly you?) owes $100 thousand to our creditors (instead of a mere $40 something thousand?) Most of you are not better off and you will not be better off any time soon and you are so deliberately stupid and so willfully delusional that you can no longer grasp the obvious.

But you won, Obots! You won! Yea! Pop those corks and celebrate. Numbers mean nothing so long as Obama is in the White House.

Yea Obots!

The issue of whether or not Obama was born in the USA and whether or not he is a Natural Born Citizen is entirely different from the deficit issue. You do not have to be born in a foreign country to believe in high deficits. Conversely, you can believe in reducing deficits and STILL believe that Obama was born in Hawaii and is a Natural Born US Citizen.

And, in fact, the facts show both of those things overwhelmingly.

The facts are that Obama's birth in Hawaii has been shown overwhelmingly by (1) his birth certificate (short form AND long form) of which he showed both the images on the Web and the actual physical copies to the press, and (2) the confirmation by the officials of BOTH parties in Hawaii, including the former Republican governor, and (3) the still further confirmation by the public Index Data file and (4) the still further confirmation by the birth notices in the Hawaii newspapers in 1961 that were sent to the papers by the DOH of Hawaii and (5) the still further confirmation by the teacher who wrote home to her father, named Stanley, about the birth in Hawaii of a child to a woman named Stanley. And the US Supreme Court has ruled in the Wong Kim Ark case that the meaning of Natural Born Citizen comes from the common law and refers to the place of birth, not to the citizenship of the parents of a US-born child, and that every child born in the USA except for the children of foreign diplomats is a Natural Born Citizen.

In this blog's four year history, fewer than one per cent of the posts have dealt with the eligibility issue. Even most of those posts dealt with The White House and the news media's treatment of the subject. The White House went out of their to keep the birth certificate in the news and pawns like David Gregory would grill his Republican guests about "birthers" even though they never addressed that topic.

The focus of this blog continues to be mind control, brainwashing, censorship, media bias and the willful blindness practiced by Obama followers. If that focus leads us to say, Indonesian citizenship, we will not back away from the manner in which the press has covered (or not covered) the subject.

Re Indonesian Citizenship. Obama is not one and never was. In fact, you can test that out for yourself. Just call the Indonesian Embassy in Washington and ASK (ask for the press officer).

The Press has given very little attention to the eligibility issue for good reason. They don't cover claims that the earth is flat or that 2+1=4 anymore.

Re: " the willful blindness practiced by Obama followers."

In the general election all that we had to decide was whether or not he was better than Romney, and we did.

Further to " the willful blindness practiced by Obama followers"

The Birther subgroup of the Conservative movement is willfully blind to:

(1) Obama's Hawaii birth certificate (short form AND long form) of which he showed both the images on the Web and the actual physical copies to the press, and (2) the confirmation by the officials of BOTH parties in Hawaii, including the former Republican governor, and (3) the still further confirmation by the public Index Data file and (4) the still further confirmation by the birth notices in the Hawaii newspapers in 1961 that were sent to the papers by the DOH of Hawaii and (5) the still further confirmation by the teacher who wrote home to her father, named Stanley, about the birth in Hawaii of a child to a woman named Stanley. I don't recall the press ever covering 2+1=4 but on matters of the deficit their math can be just as silly. They might not cover the Flat Earth Society but that is not to say they are a beacon of science or reason. On environmental issues (global warming, climate change, fracking) they can be just as ridiculous as the flat earth people.

"Re: " the willful blindness practiced by Obama followers."

You did. You made an informed decision. Unfortunately, the extra-low information voter who tipped the scales did not make an informed decision. Our corrupt news media did nothing to enlighten the low information voter. They took a vow of silence on Benghazi but they parroted every falsehood about Mitt Romney. So much for the vaulted fourth estate.

Yes, you could say the Birthers practice willful blindness but they are a small group of people unlike the readership of TMZ or the audience of John Stewart or "Saturday Night Live.'

We are in agreement that the birthers practice willful blindness. That was the topic I posted about and that I wanted to discuss. Obama's second inaugural will take place on January 21. You will have to live with his policies--like them or not--for the next four years.

"Obama's second inaugural will take place on January 21. You will have to live with his policies--like them or not--for the next four years."

Not exactly. Ours is a government of divided powers. The most-often repeated fallacy of our time is that America lived under the policies of George Bush from 2006 to 2008. In fact, the Democrats took both houses of Congress in 2006. So from 2006 to 2008 the Democrats set policy more than George Bush did.

Of course the extra-low information voter does not understand this nor do they care to understand this. Even with just one House of Congress the Republicans could take the upper hand. Boehner has broad latitude in funding or defunding almost anything he wants. In times of peace the speaker of the House possesses about as much power as the president--should he choose to exercise that power.

The good news for Obama is that Boehner is a sellout. He might as well be a Democrat. Every loyal Democrat should be sending Boehner a donation. As long as Boehner has his back, Obama doesn't have much to worry about.

But there will be more elections in 2014. In the meantime America could face insolvency. Empty pockets could disrupt the best laid plans of the Beltway elite. Policies of any origin--even those advanced by the president--will be reconsidered through the lens of bancruptcy.

I agree completely. The Republicans are still in charge of the US House of Representatives and they can block any legislation that Obama proposes. He still has the power to order the Executive Branch to follow his policies, however, and that includes foreign policy, environmental policy, health policy, Etc.

As for insolvency, well that also is a political matter. Unless and until the Congress passes legislation over a presidential veto, which requires a two-thirds vote of both houses, Obama will remain in charge of fiscal policy. As the budget limit brink approaches, Obama is likely to seek a deal. If the House does not agree, and if the budget limit is not raised, the chaos that will be caused will probably be blamed on the Republicans.

Or, it may well be blamed on both Obama AND the Republicans. But even if this happens, Obama will remain the president through 2016 and the next president will take over in January 2017.
