The Year of The Faint?

(See yesterday's post concerning the return of Obama's fainting women.)

)It worked in 2008. Now Obama has gone back to his old playbook in hopes of recapturing the magic. There have been three recent incidents of fainting women during Obama fundraising events.

It might be working. According to Rasmussen, the percentage of likely voters who strongly approve of the president's performance has risen to 28%. A corresponding 38% strongly disapprove but this is an improvement over the 3:2 to 2:1 fluctuations that the president usually endures.

The fainting might be working. Years ago, legendary prankster Alan Abel orchestrated a mass fainting in the audience of "The Phil Donahue Show." Rumor has it that Donahue was livid and initially considered litigation. But the hoax resulted in a spike in Phil's ratings and all was forgiven.

IT WORKED FOR PHIL. IT CAN WORK FOR BARACK

AFTER THE INAUGURATION, THE FAINTING SLOWED DOWN BUT...

FAINTING WAS ALSO A PROBLEM DURING THE HEALTH CARE DEBATE

As the fainting ceased, the president's numbers tumbled. Now, Campaign 2012 is underway. "Timber!"
