Frivolous Friday: I Wish We Could Say These Are Right Wing Plants

But unfortunately, these people are as ridiculous as they seem.

The left has been exposed for planting people with racist signs at tea parties and elsewhere. I wish, I really wish that the proudly stupid buffoons whoc publicly praised Obama were exposed as a vast right wing hoax. Unfortunately, that is not the case. These people are as idiotic as they appear.

For decades, our public schools have been in decline. Let the Asians eat our lunch. Let the vapid rule over us. We reap what we sow. To quote the master:

"Idiot wind blowing every time you move your teeth
You're an idiot babe
It's a wonder that you still know how to breathe."

Retro Thursday: A Concise Summary of Obamanomics And The Politics Of Envy

Certain economists have devoted their lives to the addressing one question: How do governments maximize revenue? Art Laffer is the best known but there are others. Laffer pointed out what would later be obvious. That optimum taxation is not always higher taxation.

Zero taxation will produce zero government revenue. But 100% taxation will produce only slightly more revenue because people will stop working. What then, is the optimum level of taxation (for yielding government revenue. The optimum revenue for the individual is zero.)

Art Laffer invented the Laffer Curve. He discovered that when we tax beyond a certain level (roughly 28%,) government revenue declines. Technically 28% is not a magic number but optimum taxation is certainly in that neighborhood. In some years and some places 27% might yield higher revenue. In other places and times, 30% might yield more revenue. Laffer's enemies have tried to discredit his work by disputing minutiae.

But rest assured that a 28% tax rate will yield more government revenue than a 39.6% rate of taxation. Obama knows this but he does not care. What he calls "fairness" is a seething hostility towards all who have and will prosper. When we raise tax rates beyond the optimum rate of return, almost everyone loses. The taxpayer certainly loses but so does our national defense, our welfare state, our schools, etc., etc., etc. Who wins?

The winners are the envious. Not the fleeting envious. That group would include all of humanity at one time or another. No, I am referring to the bitter slobs who have adopted envy as a preferred lifestyle. These are the people who stay awake at night tormented by the fact that someone, somewhere, has prospered. Sad but true, Obama is one of those people.

Obama is willing to burn down the house to kill the mice. Then at last, we will attain "fairness." Or so it seems. The problem with hypertrophied envy is that it can never be satisfied. Never. The residents and occupants and butlers and chamber maids and the family dog flee the burning house in an unfair manner. They will be asked to make sacrifices.

Sacrifices are necessary for envy to triumph. Envy in the guise of fairness will continue to rule our day. Hope and change.

Fox News Has the 12 Top Rated Cable News Shows

I don't usually link to Huffington Post due to their practice of slave labor but they report on cable news ratings and guess what? Fox dominates. Bill O'Reilly leads the pack and his 11 PM repeat is number 8! You have to get to #13 where the bittersour Rachel Maddow leads the non-Fox pack.

Wild Card Wednesday: Those Wacky Birthers Are Back In The News

Gary Poyssick, an early employee of software giant Adobe System Inc., continues to maintain there is something "fishy" about the Obama long-form birth certificate released by the White House.

"What the White House released is not a simple scan," Poyssick told WND. "Something digital came between the paper and the glass."

Poyssick was at the San Jose-based tech company when it counted no more than 14 employees, and he continues to advise and write on Adobe software products

Poyssick, who today devotes his energies to running The Online Fisherman in Tampa, Fla., has written more than 50 titles about Adobe software, the printing industry, coding and programming, website development and workflow management.

"Get the New York Times best-seller Where's the Birth Certificate? The Case that Barack Obama Is Not Eligible to be President," autographed by Jerome Corsi, Ph.D.

His initial reaction was to declare the birth certificate an outright forgery.

"I could have done a much better replica myself, if the president had asked," Poyssick told The Political Sandbox blog when the birth certificate first appeared and he opened the document in Adobe Illustrator. "The guy that did this is a bimbo in that he forgot to 'flatten' his works to soften the background edges so the fake letters blended, softly into the green paper.

Observing that the birth certificate document had multiple layers when opened in Adobe Illustrator, Poyssick was amazed the White House had released an electronic PDF file that had not been "flattened" so as to remove all evidence that it had been modified.

They're Reading My Mind With Microwaves Again!

Which past leader does Barack Obama most closely resemble? His admirers, not all of them liberals, used to compare him to Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Roosevelt.

Well, Obama announced his candidacy in Lincoln's hometown two days before Abe's birthday, and he did expand the size and scope of government. But no one seriously compares him with Lincoln or FDR anymore.

Conservative critics have taken to comparing him, as you might imagine, to Jimmy Carter. The more cruel among them, like The Weekly Standard's Jay Cost, say the comparison is not to Obama's advantage.

But there is another comparison I think more appropriate for a president who, according to one of his foreign-policy staffers, prefers to "lead from behind." The man I have in mind is Chauncey Gardiner, the character played by Peter Sellers in the 1979 movie "Being There."

The Entire commentary can be read here.

Sunday Worship: How America Became Jonestown Part 3

What is worse than this celebration of child abuse is the commentary at Youtube with the conspicuous use of the word 'cute.' Are the decaying bodies of the Jonestown Kool-Aiders cute? I think not.
