Introducing Frivolous Friday

There was a time when we wanted to devote Fridays to the global warming scam. We planned to call it Frigid Friday or Fraudulent Friday and delve into the bowels of a movement that is both silly and bogus. But then there was East Anglia and ever-mounting evidence that the sun exercises greater influence on our evironment than does your neighbor's SUV. Some scientists are even predicting the arrival of a mini ice age.

So we place gobal warming on the back burner (hoo hoo hoo hoo...hahahaha.) This clears a spot for us to celebrate the Golden Age of Frivolity. The triumph of the stupid. The celebration of the ridiculous. The apex of style and the nadir of substance. The mindless following of a mindless leader and his mindless slogans. Change We Can Believe In!

2008 was never about the triumph of liberalism or progressivism or cryptomarxism. Those things involve thought. 2008 was about image and hype and vapiidity. Vapidity such as we have never seen. Proudly ignorant mobs who worship a man they do not know and do not care to know. His iconography is all that matters. Oceans of humanity hostile to the premise of skepticism. The stillness of mind. The comfort of the familial herd. Freedom from the stressors of reason. A return to Eden but with a better god this time around. Hope And Change!

This blog has maintained a few traditions like Wildcard Wednesday, Sellebrity Saturday, Sunday Worship and Media Monday. We run across material that overlaps the criteria for Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Do we call this media fixture a celebrity or a jounralist? Is this ostenatious worship or journalism as usual? If a celebrity worships Obama does that video get posted on Saturday or Sunday? A lot of thought has gone into this sorting of material. It isn't always an easy call.

So no we have Frivolous Friday as a new potpourri. We will celebrate sellebrity wannabes who have not yet found an agent. We will celebrate the banal, the ridiculous and mostly, the shameless. Bold individuals with hostility to all things factual. Magnanimous personalities with scant inclination to reason and no capacity for shame. None!

We now kick off Frivolous Friday. Yes We Can!

Retro Thursday: Stupid Sarah Palin Department

This originally posted 4/10/2010. Sad but true, Hank Johnson was once more re-elected since then.

I am talking to a friend on the phone and I reference Hank Johnson and he had not heard this. If this had been ANY Republican...EVERYONE would have heard about this. My friend is still on the line as I post this.

I am getting good at multi-tasking.

Not Exactly Breaking News: Inmate Links Diddy to Tupac Murder.

VOTE OR DIE!
A convicted murderer, long suspected of involvement in the 1994 Quad Studios shooting of Tupac Shakur, has finally admitted to committing the crime, and has accused Game's manager, Jimmy "Henchmen" Rosemond -- founder of Czar Entertainment -- of masterminding the botched robbery, which left the legendary rapper shot five times.

"I want to apologize to his [Tupac's] family and for the mistake I did for that sucker [Rosemond]," Dexter Isaac told AllHipHop.com today (June 15), on the eve of Tupac's 40th birthday.

In an explosive confession dedicated to his former friend, whom he helped to launch entertainment company Henchmen Entertainment in 1989, Isaac explained that he has "stayed silent in prison for the past 13 years, doing a life sentence like a real soldier should," but that he is "tired of listening to your [Rosemond's] lies."
