Ok GOP! Listen UP!

About 7 in 10 voters think it is important that the GOP take into account the Tea Party's positions and objectives as the address the country's problems. While 53% of Republicans and 46% of Independents think this is "very important" so do 26% of Democrats. Overall 53% of Democrats think it is either "very" or "somewhat" important.

So what about the television medium? Only CNN, proving the adage "Even a blind pig finds an acorn now and then.", covered Rep Michele Bachmann's reply to The State of the Union speech. Not NBC, not ABC, not CBS and not even Fox News thought it was important. Maybe Shawn Hannity should be more like "client number 9".

So How's That New Coal Fired Car Working Out For You?

You are thirty miles from home. There is a foot of snow on the ground and road conditions are icy. There temperature has dropped to zero and it getting dark. How could it be any worse? Well, you could be driving a Chevy Volt. According to theelectric.com " "All batteries deliver their power via a chemical reaction inside the battery that releases electrons. When the temperature drops the chemical reactions happen more slowly and the battery cannot produce the same current that it can at room temperature. A change of ten degrees can sap 50% of a battery's output. In some situations the chemical reactions will happen so slowly and give so little power that the battery will appear to be dead when in fact if it is warmed up it will go right back to normal output. . . ."

So now you realize that your range has been cut in half. Do you turn off the heater since all accessories on an electric car use electricity. Do you turn off the radio and forget about road reports. Well you could turn off the head lights. Maybe you should pray that the battery in your cell is up enough to call your wife to come get you. By the way where would you park this thing in cold weather?

WTF Obama

Before Barack Obama replaced Jimmy Carter as this country's foremost example of presidential ineptitude we used to muse jokingly about Carter's famous MEOW speech. That's Moral Equivalent Of War for those of you not old enough to remember the Carter years. But now Obama has replaced Carter as the democrat's foremost wordsmith with; what else? WTF. Winning The Future, a book title by none other than Newt Gingrich and borrowed by Obama without accreditation will make this year's State of the Union memorable in ways not intended by the President. Obama gives new meaning to WTF.
