The Mooseman Returneth: Colonel Allen West

Is Col. West the strong candidate we are looking for to oppose Obama in 2012?

BE SURE TO SEE THE VIDEO AT THE END.

Only two blacks were newly elected to congress this cycle, and both are Republican. Col West is from southern Florida, a bastion of the Democratic Party. He won in a walk.

It is worth the viewing. This new Congressman was an extremely popular commander in Iraq . He was forced to retire because during an intense combat action a few of his men were captured. At the same time his men had captured one of the guys who were with the Iraqis who captured his men.

Knowing that time was crucial and his interrogators were not getting anywhere with the prisoner COL West took matters into his own hands. He burst into the room and demanded thru an interpreter that the prisoner tell him where his men were being taken. The prisoner refused so COL West took out his pistol and placed it into the prisoner's crotch and fired. Then the COL told the prisoner that the next shot would not miss. So the prisoner said he would show where the American service members were being taken. The Americans were rescued. Some one filed a report on incorrect handling of prisoners. COL West was forced to retire. COL West was just elected in November 2010 to Congress from Florida . During the elections he was part of a panel on how to handle or how to relate to Muslims. You will see his answer here.

The Mooseman Strikes Again: Items From My Email

The Truth About Sarah Palin

Democrat, Independent, or Republican....this email is disturbing.
By Dewie Whetsell, Alaskan Fisherman.
As posted in comments on Greta's article referencing the MOVEON ad about Sarah Palin.

The last 45 of my 66 years I've spent in a commercial fishing town in Alaska . I understand Alaska politics but never understood national politics well until this last year. Here's the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets it. It's not about persona, style, rhetoric, it's about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I'm about to mention here.

1. Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governor's office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republican's "Corrupt Bastards Club" (CBC) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits. The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing, "la la la la" (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar.

2. Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called "ACES." Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them, "don't let the door hit you in the stern on your way out." They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course, the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar.

3. The other thing she did when she walked into the governor's office is she got the list of State requests for federal funding for projects, known as "pork." She went through the list, took 85% of them and placed them in the "when-hell-freezes-over" stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, we'll pay for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got from selling the previous governor's jet because it was extravagant.
Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor's cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a car, and dismissing her State provided security force (never mentioning - I imagine - that she's packing heat herself). I'm still waiting to hear the names of those other governors.

4. Now, even with her much-ridiculed "gosh and golly" mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn't impress you, then you're trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand.

5. For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made excuses the entire time why they couldn't start drilling. In truth they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years could make them get started. Then, she told them she was revoking their lease and kicking them out. They protested and threatened court action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the court house. Alaska won again.

6. President Obama wants the nation to be on 25% renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewable by 2025. We are already at 25%. I can give you more specifics about things done, as opposed to style and persona. Everybody wants to be cool, sound cool, look cool. But that's just a cover-up. I'm still waiting to hear from liberals the names of other governors who can match what mine has done in two and a half years. I won't be holding my breath.

By the way, she was content to return to AK after the national election and go to work, but the haters wouldn't let her. Now these adolescent screechers are obviously not scuba divers. And no one ever told them what happens when you continually jab and pester a barracuda. Without warning, it will spin around and tear your face off. Shoulda known better.

You have just read the truth about Sarah Palin that sends the media, along with the democrat party, into a wild uncontrolled frenzy to discredit her. I guess they are only interested in skirt chasers, dishonesty, immoral people, liars, womanizers, murderers, and bitter ex-presidents' wives.

So "You go, Girl." I only wish the men in Washington had your guts, determination, honesty, and morals.
I rest my case. Only FOOLS listen to the biased media.

Now, open your eyes...

(This is community organizing at it's finest.)
There has NEVER been anyone in the White House at any time who has created such an army of staffers whose sole duties are the facilitation of the First Lady's social life.

One wonders why she needs so much help, at taxpayer expense, when even Hillary, only had three; Jackie Kennedyone; Laura Bush one; and prior to Mamie Eisenhower social help came from the President's own pocket.
Note: This does not include makeup artist Ingrid Grimes-Miles, 49, and "First Hairstylist" Johnny Wright, 31, both of whom traveled aboard Air Force One to Europe .

"Together We Thrive" Coming to a Campaign Trail Near You?

In honor of MLK Day, I propose that we start judging people on the content of their character. Happy Holiday!

This thing is unfolding and it is not getting prettier. Perhaps it is not scandalous that a memorial service was hijacked by a political campaign. But in my not so humble opinion it reveals a lot about the opportunists who run our country. Viva Rahm!

This first link actually tries to debunk the politication of the memorial service.

Among attempts by some conservatives to cast last night’s “Together We Thrive” memorial for victims of the massacre in Tucson in a negative light were suggestions that the White House was involved in designing and distributing t-shirts at the event. While that notion has already been partially debunked, we looked into the rumors, and besides a frank denial from the White House, we’ve uncovered some relevant details about the shirts, which were, infact, distributed by the University of Arizona.

This type of smear is nothing new, and despite the apparent absurdity of the claim, I checked with the White House, anyway. A senior administration official confirmed the widely-reported fact that the administration had nothing to do with the shirts.

From the same source:

A focal point of the effort, by some, to cast Wednesday’s “Together We Thrive” memorial to the victims of the Tucson mass shooting in a negative light has been the t-shirts that were distributed to the crowd. Businessman Kevin Wright, owner of Florida-based Thundershirts, sees the shirts in a different light, though. He’s selling copies of the “Together We Thrive: Tucson and America” shirts in an attempt to raise money for the victims, and getting hate mail for his trouble.

When I first saw Wright’s listing on eBay, I had the same cynical thought that many others obviously did, that the “portion of the proceeds” was probably a token sum, donated simply as a pretext to capitalize on the tragedy. The fact that Wright’s politically-themed shirts have a decidedly conservative slant seemed to add irony to the mix, as some conservatives have twisted themselves in knots to manufacture controversy over the real t-shirts.

But not everyone is an apologist:

Even after nearly a week of the Left’s vitriolic and unwarranted public lynching of the Right over last Saturday’s massacre by a left-wing lunatic in Tuscon, I was willing to give the President the benefit of the doubt after (by most accounts) doing well in delivering Cody Keenan’s well-drafted speech on Wednesday. Heck, even his teleprompter performed without flaw, the pauses built in right at the appropriate applause lines.

The View of The Unsanctioned Canadian Press:

The “Together We Thrive” T-shirts that starred at Wednesday’s Arizona `Memorial’ originated from Organizing for America (here), a sad fact unearthed by The Drumbeat of Liberty and the Preservation of Freedom editor and Canada Free Press (CFP) columnist Robert Rohlfing.

In the controversy of the pep rally/rock concert style Memorial for those who lost their lives in Saturday’s Arizona tragedy, the mainstream media reported that the “Together We Thrive: Tucson & America” T-shirt given to mourners as they entered McKale Center was the idea of University of Arizona brass, not the Obama administration.

Yet the “Together We Thrive” slogan dates back to a post to Obama’s own Organizing for America in a Feb. 11, 2008 post by self-described “globalist” John Berry IV.

"Together We Thrive" WTF?

How dare they. Even when the president delivers the perfect speech, those people villify him. [Insert racist innuendo here]

Even the so-called attack dogs at Fox and talk radio and the blogosphere got kissy kissy over this speech. This time it was not the usual apologists who said stuff like "Even the president was surprised by the thunderous applause." Was he?

I think this memorial service/pep rally will be talked about for a long time to come. First, Let's see what advice Jonathan Alter of "Newsweek" fame is giving the president. http://www.newsweek.com/2011/01/10/the-impact-on-obama-s-presidency.html
Seriously, you might read this one and download it before it gets scrubbed. This is shameless stuff. Even "Newsweek" might find this one embarrassing. It is advice to the president on maximizing the political capital of the Tucson shooting. The adviser-at-large even references the patron saint of opportunism without a hint of irony

“You never want a serious crisis to go to waste,” Rahm Emanuel famously said in 2008. The same goes for a shooting spree that gravely wounds a beloved congresswoman.

I recognize that it is not leftism per se that turns a human being into a hyper-political animal. Rush Limbaugh sidetracked a football broadcast, the ultimate escapist politics-free entertainment vehicle, to editorialize about media favoritism and race. But the left has a knack for politicizing everything. Everything.

PAUL WELLSTONE MEMORIAL SERVICE

So the president was taken aback at the hooting and hollering and the general boisterous tone? Maybe not. Before the masses entered the arena, chairs were draped with "Together We Thrive" t-shirts. Huh?

WHAT? NO POM POMS?

GET YOUR GRIEVE ON

Who distributed thousands of t-shirts to mourners? Who funded this exercise? Where does this slogan come from? What exactly does it mean? Don't ask the mainstream media. Don't ask the Gray Lady or MSNBC or AP or the Alphabet Soup. They are too busy attacking Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck.

This is one of the few investigative pieces out there (and I got the pics from them btw) http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2656595/posts

Freerepublic links to my.barackobama.com to trace the origin of this slogan. It was on the table in 2008 but apparently got pushed aside for "Yes We Can" and "Hope and Change."

You might want to view this before it gets scrubbed.

This is taken from an Organize For America post in February 2008. (my.barackobama.com)

For too long Americans have been set one against the other, it is a side affect of a free market society. How can profits be maximized, how can I get the work done for the lowest possible costs. This continually sets one group against the other, especially in the blue collar sectors of America. It has become a part of the American Business model, whether it was indentured servants, slaves picking cotton, sharecroppers, the industrious people that built the railroads or todays migrant workers. As long as we remain divided, fighting for the scraps that America has to offer it will be one group against the other.

What I see in Obama is a chance for a revolution. A chance for every group to participate and be heard; A chance to live the American dream that has been denied to so many. Together we can and will change the world and return America to the shining beacon of Hope and Prosperity that we were and that we can be again. Only when we work together do we accomplish feats that rival any ever accomplished in the history of mankind. Diversity is our strength, that is what this campaign brings us a promise of. For many this is a scary prospect and thought, getting to know someone different from myself. We all want the same basic things for example a safe place to live, health and a quality education for our kids.

In a previous career, I was the global leader of Diversity for a global fortune 500 corporation, I have studied the affects of diverse groups working together and the results can not be denied. Together we Thrive!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate to always be the cynic but it appears that the Re-Elect Obama campaign was kicked off in Tucson January 12, 2011. Together We Thrive!
